A lovely Basic site, very peaceful but also great camping field at the bottom for kids to play ball. Only downside with the hot weather this weekend was lack of shade (I didn't take a gazebo/parasol or tarp) which was really needed.

This caravan site is well run, they are all grass pitches and some are very private. The site has beautiful countryside surrounding it and the views down the valley are amazing. We spend lots of weekends at this campsite relaxing in our caravan.
There are plenty of great places to visit in the area, lots of lovely country pubs and pretty villages and towns to spend time in.
The owners of the campsite are very friendly and are only too happy to help with any problems you may have.
There are two toilets which is sufficient and no showers -most caravans and motor homes have showers anyway and if you are in a tent then a pack of baby wipes or a bowl of water will be adequate for the weekend.
There is a local swimming pool nearby if you fancy a swim and a shower there.
There is a farm shop at the bottom of the main road (5 minutes away if driving) sells lots of goodies.
There are two mini supermarkets in Glemsford- The Spar and Premier Stores and a smaller stores with a post office. A great fish and chip shop and a lovely Chinese restaurant and takeaway that you can get a beer in whilst waiting. There are also a couple of nice pubs in Cavendish worth a visit as the food is great there too.

Camped for one night as part of a UK cycle tour. Beautiful well maintained site- level pitches and lovely grass! The owner 'Bloomers' is lovely and welcoming, great sense of humour.
Not many people around while I was there, possibly because there's no shower facilities? But honestly it was such a quiet, lovely stay I really didn't care about the lack of showers!

Thoroughly recommend.

A beautiful caravan/camping site quite with plenty of space for all your camping needs. Cold water and toilets but no showers but happy with that back to basics. The grounds are extensive with well established trees, hedges and many electric points. The ground is flat and well maintained. Dog allowed but must be kept on a lead, sadly this not the case with two separate campers causing issues with there dogs going for each other. Another gent who had his dog on a lead walking with his small grand son had a job to keep the other dog away from them with the owner not even saying sorry leaving their dog roaming. We plan to use this site regularly but not if dogs are allowed to roam and bother us while eating our food. The site is ran by a friendly couple who can't be more helpful, with an area to borrow books, local leaflets, Chinese and chippy menues. The site is clean beautiful, did I say that hehehehehehe. Apart from roaming dogs ( that lost a star sadly) we love it and will be back. A walking distance to the pub, Chinese, chippy and a co op. What more can you ask for.

Fantastic laid-back campsite. Clean toilet, no showers. Flat pitch and very well-maintained fields with plenty of room. Nearby is a fish and chip shop, pub and Chinese takeaway (which will deliver to front of site if you're feeling ultra lazy !). Colin was SO welcoming that you felt 'at home' instantly. Great value and highly recommended for touring some very pretty Suffolk villages and / or just chilling-out.
Visited April 2017 and lucky enough to have great weather at weekend.
We will definitely return.

Nice grounds although too many pitches for the facilities avaliable. A bit haphazard as we were put in the rally field and then told to move pitches as we were apparently blocking someone's view....of another row of caravans. Wouldn't return as expensive for what was offered. Prices seeemed to be made up on the spot rather than advertised prices. We felt they were cashing in on a busy bank holiday weekend somewhat!

Lovely secluded site. Really friendly owners, they had unhitched and straightened up the Caravan before I had got out of my car! Pitches separated by decent 10 foot tall conifer hedge so sheltered from the wind. Electric hook up at each pitch. Decent rally field too as well as storage options.

It was absolute wonderful. Camping Owner Collin Bloomfield was a perfect host. Twice a day he made his tour on site with his wonderful stories, tips. When there was a problem he was there for us!
The campsite hase a wonderful view over the Suffolk Hills. A lot of small picturesque villages are nearby. A ride on bike is possible. Cambridge, London, Norwich can be reached oin 1 to 2,5 hours.
The campsite is perfect as a bases for East Anglia and only 1 hour from Harwich.
We discovered the Norfolk Coast taking 2 B&B nights, leaving the caravan behind on site.

The rate of the campsite is very low, but there are only the minimum of facilities available.
No problem at all in this very relaxed environment.

It is a hidden gem so I'm keeping it a secret!! Oh well my secret's out! Beautifully kept, spacious pitches, lovely views and the ever watchful Collin keeping his eye on the goings on. Hardy a dog in sight( bonus!!) and those there were well behaved ( kids too).
A lovely part of Suffolk and a treat after a busy weekend near Brighton. Can't recommend this little site but an sure things would be a little different if a rally was going on. Keep up the good work. Thanks Ruth and Russx.
