this area is fairly decentralized and with different landscapes than London. Here you can visit an old ship well preserved and rich in history
A MUSEUM sailing ship from 1869 to visit upon payment of a ticket at the time was a very fast merchant ship.

Got in half price with our National Trust membership cards. Terrific place allow your self at least one hour minimum. Cafe a bit on the expensive side. Opted for Wetherspoons around the corner.

Really enjoyed the visit to the Cutty Sark. Being allowed the wonder around all the decks of the ship and the different exhibits made it quite an immersive experience. There is a nice coffee shop in the dry dock, right beneath the hull of the Cutty Sark, which is suspended above.

This place has huge ship which looks like docked on land. There is a museum and a gift shop too, in the vicinity, indeed a little over priced. The ship is a good visual and us defenitely a photo spot for visitors. There are good restaurants around. An interesting fact is you can also take the foot tunnel though the Thames river which takes you directly to the Island garden park. Both can be easily clubbed.

Quiet and very beautiful area of London. Typical food and emblematic monuments such as the meridian or in this case this ship with its history. There is a tunnel that connects both banks of the Thames underground. Peculiar area

I've visited here on my own and took my 7 year old in the summer holidays. The Family Trail really helped with our visit and made sure we spent time looking more closely for answers and quirks of the vessel. You can easily spend a couple of hours when visiting and the cafe underneath is worth considering although the Cutty Sark blend tea is quite dreadful and the cakes are overpriced. But I like the chairs so like to pop by.

Beautiful old Sailing ship

Beautiful old Sailing ship

Once inside the Famous tea Clipper it was well worth the price She s as beautiful, elegant and bursting with historic character as ever. When you enter the bottom of the dry dock the whole ship is suspended on giant metal props! You can walk or drink tea under her Keel. This is a wonderful mixture of brilliant engineering and art. My children loved the hands on activities on the various decks. The film shows and information throughout were clear and concise.
My first encounter with something paranormal was in the Officers saloon. There is an ornate mirror and upon close inspection a face appeared within! It was an Ancient Mariner of some type; he pulled out his tongue and contorted his face at me then disappeared when anyone else entered the room.
The second Ghostly thing was the figurehead! She only jumped off the bow and came running down the stairs squawking and howling like Kate Bush. Of course this had the children mesmerized. (Me too as she was a lovely Hunger games type girl with a gorgeous Scottish accent.) She told the story of this magical ship and how she got her name.
Just forward of the ships stem is a curious exhibition of Figureheads. These are the remains of ancient ships that have gone to a nautical graveyard throughout the mists of time. They have an eerie charm and every one looks like they have a secret sealed in oak.

Fabulous day out!

We're in London for the Foo Fighters and I said to my wife let's go see the Cutty Sark, she had no idea what I was on about. So we went and she absolutely loved it and she thanked me immensely for taking her. It's a great experience for families and for young children to explore life on a ship. There's a character reenactment to watch and participating.

We loved this place. Already you can stroll outside in Greenwich Market and the little tricks then you head to the Cutty Sark there is really a lot to do around and you are also close to the pier for a ride on the Thames c is really to do when the weather is nice. The visit of the ship itself and also exceptional and the time of a moment you find yourself as a boat captain or a sailor there is plenty to see and young and old will be delighted by this visit

Great place to go to, it is always great to find out how old ships looked like, I would just like them to add pictures of crew on the boat, if there is any, and show where the ship travelled.

Historical Land Mark , loads of eateries, tourists and the river frount. It's the centre stage of Greenwich and it's worth a visit. It's better to make a day of it. The weekends can get very busy with the market activity in the summer month's.

The food was rubbish and served cold. The music system was not tested before we had our event and therefore a thumb down aswell. The bar closes white early and even though we didn't used our free drinks they refused to give us Water. Water mate !! One star - still don't deserve that one either because the interior is not special neither
