Beautifully preserved tea clipper from the 1800s. I'm not a history buff and wouldn't have known about the competitiveness of British tea trade if not for the visit to the Cutty Sark at Greenwich. This reconstructed copper-plated ship is a naval engineering masterpiece, whose history is well worth knowing. The museum is well maintained, the guides are helpful, the cafe offers tasty snacks, and museum shop has nice souvenirs.

Cutty Sark one of last clipper ships restored after couple of fires is to be visited if you have a full day planned at Greenwich. After visiting the palace observatory and the Greenwich market as you return to take your boat ride back you can stop here. Kids would be enamoured and the various eating options and gift shops will make everyone happy. The gardens around are perfect for a day out and picnic. Bring your picnic kit and enjoy as part of your family day out. Especially for tourist having the London Pass please spare a day and enjoy. This surely is not a visit for people in a lot of hurry. Go for it

I will never eat in here again!! Family of 6 went Saturday night we was put upstairs in a lovely closed off room but was forgotten about and had to ask for drinks and chase food many times. Staff slow. Food quality not adequate and not cooked to perfection. Shame

Absolutely stunning how they've recovered this wonderful old ship from the fire a few years ago. The ship is full of fascinating facts about, not just The Cutty Sark but the other ships and the tea trade in general.

We spent a fun few hours looking around the cutty sark yesterday.

Was not sure what to expect, would our kids (11 and 8) enjoy it, or be bored.

In the end, they had a blast. Lots of interactive exhibits even with COVID restrictions and lots to learn.

Happy to recommend this place for an hour or so but note that there is limited toilet access with some queuing necessary

Cutty sark literally has a giant ship!! Hey if you wish to be a sailor for the day then there you go. Jokes aside it has nearby a few nice cafes and grassy area which is brilliant in the summer to relax.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit in London. Great access to local travel points back into the city and Thames boat trips back down to all Thames stops.

Would deffinately recommend this to couples young and old and great for children. There are also plenty of places to eat and visit around the area.

About Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship´s Races

Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races is a renowned company that offers an unforgettable experience to its visitors. Located in the heart of Greenwich's UNESCO World Heritage Site, the company provides access to some of the most iconic landmarks in London. Visitors can explore the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and Queen’s House all in one place.

The Royal Observatory is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in astronomy and history. It was founded by King Charles II in 1675 and has played a significant role in advancing our understanding of space and time. Visitors can see the famous Prime Meridian line that divides the eastern and western hemispheres of Earth.

Cutty Sark is another highlight of this company. It is one of only three surviving clipper ships from the 19th century and has been beautifully restored to its former glory. Visitors can step aboard this magnificent vessel and learn about its fascinating history as a tea clipper sailing between China and Britain.

The National Maritime Museum is also part of Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races experience. This museum houses an impressive collection of maritime artifacts, including ship models, paintings, maps, instruments, weapons, uniforms, medals and more. There are interactive exhibits for all ages that bring maritime history to life.

Finally, visitors can visit Queen’s House which was designed by Inigo Jones for Anne of Denmark (wife to James I) as her private retreat between 1616–19; it now houses an art collection featuring works by artists such as Gainsborough & Hogarth.

Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races offers something for everyone - whether you're interested in astronomy or maritime history or just want to enjoy stunning views over London from Greenwich Park!
