We had a great time taking visiting family to Cutty Sark. Tours around the ship are led by "the Captain" who further illustrates the display with fascinating & entertaining recollections of what life was actually like back in the day.

This is a great place to visit about a 10 min stroll from the Cutty Sark DLR station in Greenwich. The Cutty Sark is a celebrated sailng ship which can be visited to see what life was like on an historic clipper. There's lots to do in Greenwich, shops, open market, cafes, bars and plenty of hotels. Well worth visiting, even though it does get busy. Would recommend going there for a short stay or day trip.

What's not to say is more the point. Just go, you'll not be disappointed. Qs can be lengthy at times but believe me worth the wait. The ship itself is simply beautiful the lines of the ship are stunning and the great catch . You get to see underneath the ship. Good facilities to boot. Do you and your family a favour. Go!

Attended a Ceroc dance event at the Cutty Sark and thoroughly enjoyed it. Got to have a look around the ship as I've always wanted to, then danced underneath it for the rest of the evening. Floor was great for moving and gliding around on. A fantastic experience.

The old tea clipper, famous for once being the fast commercial sail ship in the world. Now beautifully restored after the fire as a modern museum and gift shop.
A great reminder of Great Britains sailing heritage.

My wife and I found our visit to the Cutty Sark one of the most interesting and well put together attractions that we visited. It would appeal to all age groups with plenty of information available on various boards through out the ship as well as some great interactive displays for the young (and not so young) to enjoy. We thought the entry fee was reasonable considering you could stay all day if you wanted. There is also plenty to see and do in the immediate area as well. We walked through the Greenwich foot tunnel as well as took a river cruise down to the Thames Barriers and back.
Close to the beautiful Greenwich park too.

Very interesting museum ship near the Maritime Museum. You can view the ship from top to bottom and from back to front. The history of the ship is told very clearly here (Audio Guide, for free).

About Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship´s Races

Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races is a renowned company that offers an unforgettable experience to its visitors. Located in the heart of Greenwich's UNESCO World Heritage Site, the company provides access to some of the most iconic landmarks in London. Visitors can explore the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and Queen’s House all in one place.

The Royal Observatory is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in astronomy and history. It was founded by King Charles II in 1675 and has played a significant role in advancing our understanding of space and time. Visitors can see the famous Prime Meridian line that divides the eastern and western hemispheres of Earth.

Cutty Sark is another highlight of this company. It is one of only three surviving clipper ships from the 19th century and has been beautifully restored to its former glory. Visitors can step aboard this magnificent vessel and learn about its fascinating history as a tea clipper sailing between China and Britain.

The National Maritime Museum is also part of Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races experience. This museum houses an impressive collection of maritime artifacts, including ship models, paintings, maps, instruments, weapons, uniforms, medals and more. There are interactive exhibits for all ages that bring maritime history to life.

Finally, visitors can visit Queen’s House which was designed by Inigo Jones for Anne of Denmark (wife to James I) as her private retreat between 1616–19; it now houses an art collection featuring works by artists such as Gainsborough & Hogarth.

Cutty Sark- The Tall Ship's Races offers something for everyone - whether you're interested in astronomy or maritime history or just want to enjoy stunning views over London from Greenwich Park!
