It's a beautiful facility and very friendly. For those in independent living it's an excellent choice. However, caregivers have been late or no shows with my dad on several occasions. We paid for someone to come in and make sure he took daily meds and had breakfast. They did a poor job and we ended up moving him to assisted. Since he wanders we pay a caregiver to come at 11 and make sure he gets to eat lunch with his friends in independent living. He's been in assisted a week now and we are already having issues with caregivers showing up hours late or not at all. This has created a lot of mental angst for my dad who feels he's lost his freedom. Considering we are paying extra for the caregiver, after the 7000 a month to be in assisted, it's ridiculous this should be an issue.

The village of Germantown look really nice&pretty, but looks can definitely be deceiving. Rhonda the DON very racist& rude not their for the residents like she claim& heather the nurse on memory care is unprofessional, nasty, rude. Very confrontational. Everything that glitter is not gold. Believe that.

Best decision we ever made as a family. My parents love their apartment in independent living. The staff is so kind and welcoming and the other residents have gone out of their way to make them feel welcome. Thankful for this facility. The team here has thought of everything!

The Village At Germantown is nice therapy is the best department. Social worker is the best but the nursing department sucks the management staff sucks the Administrator (DeRousse) is very rude my dad was there 3 weeks she never apologize for being rude. She want against my dad rights she didn t care. If you don t like it you can take your father home that s not professional at all I find the ADON do as she say even if she know it s wrong I feel like my dad didn t get the care he Deserves the nurse liaison need more training. She will lie to save herself and administrator.

The CNA's on the night shift have been aloud to run this facility. These CNA's are "Bullies", in every sense of the word, always meddling in nursing business trying to chase the nurse off if you dont let them "SLEEP".

The black lady that runs Central Supply is hateful and has been for the 5yrs. I have known her and keeps up confusion with the CNA's.

This was a great place for dad to be as long as he was able to be in the independent side and socialize with friends. Once he had to be moved to assisted, we were not happy with the care he received. He had dementia and on two separate occasions, lab people came in at 2 am to draw blood from him. He was obviously aggressive with the nurse and they called me to complain about his behavior. What person wakes up someone with dementia in the middle of the night to take blood?? Nursing staff changed a lot and I feel like that was a big part of the problems we had. His apartment wasn t kept clean unless I complained. They told his friend who would come to take him downstairs to eat that it was her responsibility to dress and clean him up if she wanted it done by a certain time (she was 92).
Families spend a small fortune to have their loved one cared for by the best people possible, and I truly don t feel like that happened. We ended up moving him to Baptist Hospice in Collierville after a hospital visit and that s the best decision we made. One last note, be sure you understand the refund policy for the buy-in money. You will not get your 90% of the buy in money refunded until they sell another unit of the type you bought into. We were on a list behind 3 people to get our money and it took about 6 months.

Do not send someone you care about to this rehab. ...

Do not send someone you care about to this rehab. Witnessed nurses and PCAs walk in a room where a patient was saying I can't breathe and was turning blue and say, I'll get your nurse. On another night four people, (two nurses and two PCAs) had their elbows up on the desk while my Grandfathers call light was on and it was none of their jobs to go check on him. One night his call light was on for 20 minutes while staff sat at the desk and stated that they were all on break. They talk down to you, and say that you should be grateful when they do the things that they are actually there to do. The nurses and PCAs say they are sorry when they are confronted by management, but then nothing changes. My family has had to spend the night nearly every night and wait in the halls to get help. The staff are rude, negligent, and verbally abusive. This makes it very hard on someone to heal mentally and physically when you are being degraded, demeaned, and disrespected on a regular basis. We had him transferred to a different facility and were much happier there.
