Neat spacious room, 2 queen beds. The beds are very hard, but I'm used to a different bed at home. Bathroom is fine but for a 4 star hotel it may be a bit more luxurious / modern. There is still a shower curtain ...
Breakfast really super! Very extensive, live cooking, good and nice staff! Great hotel, somewhat at the price, but is purely a matter of location.

Nestled between the airport and Amsterdam proper, the Crowne Plaza serves as a quiet gem of luxury, courtesy, and civility, an oasis of tranquility, if you will. Be certain to take advantage of the Plaza's delightful breakfast, where Chef Bart Bood creates omelets to tantalize the tastebuds; a plethora of fresh fruits, bread, and pastries beckon. After breakfast, meander by a canal while waiting for the shuttle bus. The Plaza provides the ideal setting for a perfect day in one of the world's most beautiful cities, inhabited by indeed the world's most gracious and generous of hosts. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend Amsterdam's Crowne Plaza.

Rooms were great. Restaurant was great. Free breakfast. My flight was canceled and I needed to call to rebook. Wish they could've let the guests with canceled flights call for free. That's really my only complaint.

I have stayed here three times now and can say that this hotel is a good option among those available near Schipol. There are several positive features. I have stayed at seven or eight different hotels now in the Schipol vicinity and this one ranks in good standing.

The positives start with location. There is a shuttle available, which takes just a few minutes to get from the airport to the facility. However, the train station is a 15-minute walk. With a five-minute train ride and five or ten minutes between trains, this is my preferred means of getting to the hotel barring horrible weather.

I also like the fact that village-centre Hoofddorp is accessible via an easy 15-minute walk down Kruiseweg. There are many good restaurants, shops and other commercial opportunities there.

The lobby for this hotel is actually quite lovely. It is both vertically and horizontally spacious with an aesthetically well-placed staircase. They had the lobby area nicely decorated for Christmas on my last visit. The check-in and check-out experiences have been easy and without complications on all my stays. The staff can generally be easily engaged and pleasant.

I have always found the rooms here to be clean, spacious, particularly by European standards, and quite comfortable. The work areas are serviceable and the bathrooms are maneuverable. My bed has always been comfortable here and the surroundings have been quiet, such that I have able to sleep well. The WiFi has been functional with no problems that I can ever recall. The entertainment system offers a variety of choices, with many UK stations broadcasting in English.

They have an executive lounge on the top level (5F) with a room-wide window that facilitates a lovely view of the surrounding area. There is a happy hour that could be used for a (very) light dinner if you wish and the drink offerings are complete. The lounge is moderate-sized but I have never been there when it has been overcrowded.

The room rates here will vary significantly. I have paid up to a 110 or so, and I have passed on this hotel at times when it has been offered at significantly higher rates. My last stay was only 76, which was an incredibly good bargain.

There are a couple of negatives about this hotel. One is the fact that the shuttle runs with less frequency than I'd like. But since there is an alternative with the train, it is not debilitating. The biggest issue for me is the breakfast. It is not necessarily a criticism of just this particular hotel, but really one of IHG's general corporate policy. I have observed that IHG is not particularly competitive because they offer Spire members minimal perks at their premium hotels (or it may be fairer to say they are inconsistent corporate-wide with what they offer). As a Hilton Diamond member and Marriott Platinum member, breakfast is free for me at their premium brands. Not so with IHG, even if I do stay 50 nights per year at their facilities. This makes a difference in my choice of places to book, especially when breakfast is 22 as it is here (even if I had pre-booked the appropriate rate).

Overall, in spite of the previous singular criticism (which is really a "first-world problem", as they say), this hotel is actually a rather good choice if you need a place near Schipol the night before a flight, or the day of arrival. The facility is beyond adequate, the location works well, the service is good and the rooms are very serviceable. The rates are very fair, even though the breakfast is a bit expensive. This place is worth considering if you need a hotel in the area.

Received many upgrade to the club floor, but didn't get lounge access. The room large, split into three a dining area, bedroom and a bathroom. The bed was comfy, but I didn't like the pillows.

The room was clean, very light and airy. The view was of the other hotels rather than of the airport.

It should be noted that the hotel offers a shuttle service as it's about 10 minutes away from the airport

The facilities are a bit old but the service is impeccable. In addition, the treatment received for being from the IHG club is exceptional.
A pity the breakfast buffet and the food. Very little variety. It is true that there is a letter from which you can ask for specific things without additional charge but it reduces your comfort.

Very welcoming, service-oriented, well-kept hotel with large, cozy rooms. Free water bottle, Nespresso coffee, tea and biscuits plus cream, sugar, cocoa etc. in the room and also daily new washcloths and toiletries. Lots of storage space and space as well as mini bar and fridge; Everything was very clean, well-kept and generous with a high feel-good factor. Separate heating in the bathroom. In the lobby there are also free water jugs with mint, lemon etc. and cups. Very friendly and competent service at the reception and breakfast. Good breakfast buffet with live egg dishes on request - are then even served to the table. Good selection also on warm dishes like baked tomatoes. Delicious homemade muffins and dry cakes, as well as fresh croissants. Fresh fruit in whole (oranges, kiwi, apples, pears, etc.) and as a fruit salad. Only bread or rolls on average; no teapots; no fresh juices; Rest but top. Great also the free airport shuttle; but could drive a little more regular (currently 1-2 times an hour). The Hoofddorp train station with good connections to the airport, trade fair and city center can also be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.

Far from central Amsterdam but about 15mins from airport in cab. 10-12 mins walk from nearest train station. Trains to Central would take about 30mins. V cozy rooms and breakfast too had good options but not complimentary with room rates. :-)

Like most Holiday Inns, these are modest places but look after their clients well. Crowne Plaza Amsterdam is no exception. It is very comfortable with all the mod cons you expect these days close to the airport which makes it very convenient for the traveller. A good 4 star hotel.

Excellent value for the price. Great staff! A bit far from the railway station and business oriented but offering free transfer to Schiphol airport multiple times per day. Checked in early at around 11am, as room was prepared.

There are better hotels, like Hampton in, holiday inn with a complimentary breakfast. The customer service rep told me this hotel was in walking distance of the airport, not true. No American channels available, all restaurants are a 15 walk away.

I was really impressed by the quality and general level of the hotel. Location is really good, 15 minutes from the airport, 20-25 minutes from Amsterdam Central station. All commodities you may require are present with actually good prices.

The shittiest, most superficial hotel I have ever experienced. The staff here is incompetent and full of imbeciles. First, they delayed our room which was booked months ago by a couple of hours. Then, they gave us a room that was inadequate in size. They seriously managed to get me exasperated. Never come here!

Staff very friendly.

Staff very friendly.
No toilet brush in the room, the beds almost collapsed, the beds weren't made, the room wasn't cleaned, no toilet paper was refilled, there were leftovers from the previous guest under the beds, the dust has been growing for weeks, all in one was dirty so we could
don't eat there either.
We wouldn't come here a second time.

Excellent customer services, classic crowne plaza.
Breakfast is excellent, dinner is great.
Need to renew guest room carpets which are fairly old, wood floor will be great to avoid allergy.
The guest lifts are renewed with energy saving.

Food was very tasty, nice and surprising menu. Service was very helpful, went to eat with 2 small children, every time a fork fell on the floor there was already a waiter next to it with a new clean fork. Very neat and fast did not have to wait long for the food.

Overnight was good, slept well. Bed is comfortable. The rooms were neatly tidy for sight. After moving the bed, crumbs came out from under it. The room is equipped with the basic needs. Bed, desk, shower / bath combination sink and wardrobe. Very outdated. The carpet is also due for replacement, as well as the desk chair with adhesive tape on the handle.

Check in staff were nice.. but that's about it. You'd think not much could go wrong when you're staying for just 6 hours! The waiter in the restaurant couldn't crack a smile, there was no bread available for dinner and the taxi we requested for the morning didn't show up. When asking reception for updates on the taxi we got a very grumpy/frosty response and the man didn't actually answer any of the questions we had to ask. Ended up getting the shuttle bus when it arrived. Luckily our flight was delayed otherwise we would have missed it for sure!
Such a shame, the budget hotel we had stayed in in the nights before was an absolute joy, think we'll stick to cheap and cheerful next time.

Good hotel, airport shuttle could run more often considering hotel is in middle of nowhere. I paid online through a booking web site and when I arrived at the hotel, first thing they asked was for a credit card. Hahahahha, told them NO. There is pizza and normal eating places in Hoofdorp, 15 min walk from hotel.
