After navigating the poorly marked parking, we arrived at the front desk to check in. We were pleasantly greeted and asked if we were part of the wedding party, which we were not. I asked if we were put in a room near the group and the clerk said that we were not marked as such so we would not be. At about 11:00 p.m. the wedding party returned to the hotel and we quickly realized that we had in fact been placed in a room that was surrounded them. They were very happy, excited, drunk, and full of energy. We were happy for them, but at 12:30 p.m. could not ignore the cheering and yelling. I had first tried calling the front desk but was not able to reach anyone, instead the phone just rang and rang. We packed our bags and went to the front desk to ask for another room. When we arrived at the front desk we found that the person working the desk was not wearing a mask. We explained the situation and asked for another room. What we were given was a smaller room and the offer of "points" to use at a later date. Nothing more was ever offered to reconcile the easily avoidable situation by placing the wedding party in a block together and our room, which was booked nearly a month in advance, in a different area of the nearly empty hotel. The hotel is dated and small, but I would gladly take any aesthetic as long as I can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.
