The staff was all mostly professional and nice. Kim was loud and short but everyone else (Shawna, Bridget, Christy) were awesome. Scheduling was horrible. From what was said to me, they usually call when there is a delay. It was a two hour delay for my procedure but no call. After waiting those two hours, waited another hour and a half after being prepped. Delays explained after I asked. It was a bad experience. Having a procedure is stressful enough but they made this harder than it had to be.

After fasting for three days this place made me wait for an hour before telling me would be another hour before my procedure. They overbooked with no consideration to the people who were there I'll never go back to this place

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Nurses were awful and rude in the pre-op area. I was already scared, nervous and in tears before they even got my vitals.
Collette was very rude to me by demanding I take a urine pregnancy test and became confrontational when I expressed my displeasure with this as I was on my cycle AND have had BOTH of my fallopian tubes removed.
I met with another nurse after trying to produce a urine sample ( unable to do so due to dehydration) and SHE became rude and confrontational when I was not happy with my experience this far. She asked me what my problem was "as she's only trying to help and I seem irritated '
No kidding! I then sat in a " pre-op" room win close Proximity to other patients and was able to listen to their PRIVATE medical history, as well as them be able to listen to mine.
My procedure did not start until an hour past it's scheduled time. I received NOTHING for anxiety as I had specifically requested when making the appointment, when speaking with my doctor several rimes before the procedure, as well as upon check in.

I was completely shocked at the poor patient care and bedside manner of the staff working there.
The only saving grace is that the nurse I saw in recovery (I am unsure of her name) was kind to me.
I will never allow my doctor to send me back to this facility for a procedure and will never recommend this facility

*** UPDATE*****
I spoke to the nurse manager today and she was less than helpful. Her response to my experience was "I'm sorry. The two people you met first weren't nurses. They were just medical assistants." I'm not sure WHY it matters that they were MA's not nurses, their behavior was AWFUL.
She made NO attempt at all to make me feel better about The two people you met first weren't nurses. They were just medical assistants." I'm not sure WHY it matters that they were MA's not burses, their behavior was AWFUL. She did not even pretend to care about making the situation right, or speaking with her staff to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Another update: The nurse manager actually told my doctor that I was the one who was rude, and that I screamed and cussed at her and her staff, none of which was true.
My doctor threatened to no longer see me. Once he heard my side of the story he understood. The fact that I was treated terribly and then had to defend myself to my doctor is unacceptable. I will never go back to this surgery center

The surgical staff were professional, courteous, and efficient. The billing staff were courteous, but clueless. I made certain that the office accepted my insurance when I paid my copay and again when I checked in. Just before signing the permission forms for my procedure, I asked two different office staff if ALL the charges were covered by my insurance and the copay I had paid because I did not want to be surprised by an additional bill. I asked three times standing at the counter, waiting for an answer. I was told that everything was covered. That was at the end of August. In November, I received a bill for another $100.00. I should have asked for an email answer to my question. Now they deny ever hearing me ask the question. Something about this smells like used car sales.
UPDATE:
I spoke with the manager who explained the policy of accepting whatever the copay of a client s insurance as the final amount due from a client, even if the Center did not accept the insurance. They wrote off the $100.00 additional bill! Praise God!

3 years ago I had to have a colonoscopy and had a wonderful experience. Last week I went back because of some stomach problems I've been having. Dr. Gentry was wonderful and they got me in for a Sono and Upper GI within a week. Everybody was wonderful and super helpful with everything. I highly recommend N. TX GI Surgery Center.

After confirming with front desk it a cover as preventive. 10 years a ago got one done and due to that record doctor did not want to complete screen but a scope colonoscopy. Cancel appt , lost 2 days of unpaid work days.Total lack of communication. In 2016 the send wrong billing code error for mother colonoscopy
