Second time at this place, great both times (and I'm not vegan)
This place is amazing!!!! From the chicken and waffles to the broccoli soup. Definitely the main, if not the only reason I would consider braving LA traffic again. Please consider a Las Vegas location!!!!!!!
The quality has gone down in my opinion. From the impossible meat, which is choc full of generically modified soy to when I received a Buffalo "chicken " sandwich the other day, which was just a puck of mush. Very similar to veggie grill and I'm not a fan either. The chicken and waffles was delicious. The 'chicken' milanese sandwich, that i got for my girls, was a similar mush patty with an ok choice of bread. We all felt ill after this lunch. We will not be returning.
Delicious vegan food even for the strictly carnivorous at heart
A new level of vegetable cuisine.
Innovative originality is so so.. could do better. The flat bread cuisine is sub standard.
A creative tapas style vegan restaurant that elevates vegetables by recreating traditional American comfort foods and experimenting with an eclectic menu. A delicious experience overall!
Had a grate evening at this place. Every single dish was amazing! We tried and recommend - the cigars, Lima bean soup, parmesan cauliflower, truffles potatoes, meatballs pizza, pasta Carbonara and the Tempe dish. We will definitely come back!
I had the "meatballs" they were so delicious! And I'm not a vegan!
You won't even know it's vegan. Great bar too. But even with reservation, you will wait
great atmosphere. kinda busy and requires reservations. food is superb, and the service was wonderful.
Great atmosphere great food,horrible servi,
I assume Jessie the server is well known for he's behavior. I am not the only one that think he have really bad attitude.
Still don't know how he still work in this place.
He start with forgetting half of our order, then he blame the kitchen, at the end he made mistakes with the total check.
As long as he working there me and the people around me are not going back there.
Everything is great in this location customer service food just a gorgeous restaurant
We enjoyed a fantastic Vegan Thanksgiving feast at Crossroads Kitchen. It was a set menu, making dining so easy. We sat, made just 2 decisions, and enjoyed. Great staff and service and delicious food. You won't leave hungry or disappointed.
If you re in a vegan date night kinda mood, this is the place for you!
The greatest and most eligible idea was to have created this restaurant. I mean even the cheese and milk shakes are vegan
Good god this place is amazing. Went there for dinner, it's a cute romantic spot. Husband and I tried a few different dishes--but what stood out were the "impossible cigars" I think that's what they're called. Initially, we wanted to try the impossible burger, since he had heard it was amazing, but we learned that they didn't serve it for dinner--just lunch.
Great food but the portions were small. Chicken and waffles and the Marissa's
Maids service drink is my go to food and drink.
Great service and food. Everything is delicious. Always Worth the excursion to eat there.
Phenomenal! This place seems a bit more formal, I've been on a week day for lunch, no reservation needed. The food is out of this world, plant based on an above average level. Serve the impossible burger. The cookie for dessert was not so beautiful, but it surprised me so yummy. It's worth the visit!
The atmosphere, drinks and food are very good. But service is lacking in some fundamental ways -- server rudeness, forgotten dishes, inflexibility to meet the needs of diners sharing plates in tapas style. And the biggest disappointment -- after multiple courses, several drinks and a bottle of wine, when dessert was on the table and the meal was nearing conclusion -- was yhe staff's request that we move tables to accommodate an incoming party. That has never happened to me anywhere in the world in 40 years of dining out. Front of House needs to shape up and get things under control because Chef Tal Ronnen food is really fantastic. But this restaurant wont survive if service failures continue unabated.
I finally made it to one of the most popular vegan spots in LA! We came here for a Saturday brunch while out running errands. I expected there to be a wait so I made a reservation on Yelp ahead of time but it wasn't even needed - plenty of people were seated inside but plenty of tables were still empty as well. We ordered the Benedict with potatoes on the side and the burrito. We also got the French toast to go. The Benedict was my favorite dish of the ones we tried - flavorful, beautifully played, and a good portion of food. My SO had the burrito which was certainly good, though we've had tastier (and larger) breakfast burritos elsewhere. The French toast - tasty! I love the almond mascarpone inside. I also had a soy latte with my meal - nothing spectacular, wouldn't bother ordering it again. The service was good - nothing out of this world, just friendly people. No wifi for customers. Metered street parking is available all around.
All in all, I'd certainly recommend coming here for brunch!
Absolutely amazing food and service. You do not need to be vegan to enjoy Crossroads you just have to appreciate fantastic food.
First time at Crossroads and I was super impressed! The restaurant is on a corner, with valet parking available or surrounding street parking. The exterior is nothing to boast about, however the interior is truly gorgeous and inviting!
I am not vegan but do eat mostly plant based. I am here to tell you with the dishes that I tried, you wouldn t be able to tell an ounce of difference as to whether meat or dairy was used in any of these dishes!
Crossroads is a vegan, tapas style restaurant with dishes meant to be enjoyed with others. Or alone, whatever :)
Overall 10/10 for flavor, service was attentive yet not pushy, and ambiance was delightful.
I don t live in California but shall be back next time I visit!
Excellent food. Good service. Highly recommend this vegan restaurant.
I am not a vegan however my date was. She suggested this resturant as she had been wanting to try it. The food was okay but over priced it was well over $100. I am giving it one star because of my experience with the restaurant and their valet service.
The dinner experience was fine, service was good but here is what happened:
I drive a Tesla and gave it to the Valet to park it. I did not not notice a problem until the next day when I saw my rims. They had parked the car incorrectly and both the wheels on the passenger side had a bad case of curb rash. Unfortunately I did not notice this when I left the establishment. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager who told be there was nothing he could do, as I did not say anything when I picked my car up, He told me that he would buy me a drink on my next visit, really? The cost to fix the rims is $450.
Although I am leaving this review now, it has been a while since my visit. It just dawned on me that I should leave this review to warn people about the Valet and to MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR VEHICLE BEFORE YOU LEAVE, as they could care less about any damage they cause.
I know this place is all the rage in the vegan world. But I just wasn't that impressed. The food was good, it just wasn't that good. I've had far better and for less $$. However, if you're going to check out The Groundlings Theatre, you may as well eat here because it's convenient and vegan so that's good.
Expensive but delicious. My favorite vegan restaurant in Los Angeles.
All the cocktails I've had were enjoyable, if a touch light.
The artichoke oysters are fascinating and delicious--the portion is small, but I highly recommend you try these.
The kale salad is not traditional but I really enjoy it, though sometime they I feel it is not sufficiently dressed.
Brunch is terrific. The chicken with waffles is delicious. I especially liked the maple syrup, which I believe was mixed with Tabasco. But the real star was Jann's bagel. I also recommend the matcha latte and the benedict.
One very lame thing is they charge you if you need extra bread to finish your dips. That definitely takes away from the fancy restaurant vibe that is otherwise well-cultivated.
Another lame thing, though not nearly as lame--the sour cocktail is no longer made with vegan egg white.
The staff was friendly and accommodating with my child and me. But, the food was not great. Not bad, but not half of what all the hype is about. The netball pizza was the best thing. Rather bland most of it.
I'm not a vegan, not even vegetarian... but I absolutely love this place. Thanksgiving dinner there is immaculate.
Overpriced and way too crowded. Server tried to "upsale" my girlfriend and I and in all honesty had a "holier than thou" attitude. I'm glad to see a bit more "upscale" vegan restaurant, but I'm not likely to return.
Ordered the French Toast and was worth the wait even tho it didn't take long the food was over the top good.
A bit too loud for conversation. Really good food and drinks.
Everything was fantastic. Even my non vegan fiancee loved everything about it. Cannot wait to go back for dinner next time.
Brian the manager always takes care of my wife and I when we come here. The "burger" that's new to the menu and took years to perfect has been worth the wait. Amazing!
Exceptionally delicious and beautifully presented vegan meals. Wonderful, sophisticated ambiance. We were very impressed that they offered a nut free menu! It would be amazingly awesome for them to feature a nut free dessert along with the great menu. We had the skillet corncake with vanilla coconut ice cream. The desserts would be fantastic if alternative low glycemic sugars were an option ie. Coconut Sugar, Monkfruit Sugar, Yacon Syrup, etc... Would definitely visit again!
The impossible cigars were amazing. Do not come here without ordering them.
I had a pasta which was also tasty. The service was pretty good.
Absolutely outstanding. One of the best vegan dining experiences I have had. I particularly recommend the carbonara and the bolognese.
The food was ok (it's not the best vegan out there), definitely over priced. You get tapas sized plates for entre prices. It has a cool vibe and decor. The service is fair, but not good enough for what you're paying.
10/10 on the menu hands down some of the best vegan items I've tasted outside of a household kitchen.
Wait staff I give 8/10. More personable less tightly wound upper class act. Overall would go again in a heartbeat.
An upscale vegan joint. Who knew? Obviously a lot of people because the place was packed and the host wad turning people away at the door who didn't have reservations. The food was excellent. You could almost mistake the meatless pizza for an unnamed animal product. Shoot or almond milk latte? Check. Coconut milk ice cream? A delicious yes, please.
So good this place is VEGAN and the chef is amazing good job !
An all plant-based menu that's incredibly delicious?! Yes!
Food is always delicious, complex, and inventive. I've been there many many times. Will be back.
Plant-based dining was never so delicious! Whether you are vegan/GF/picky eater or a food-loving carnivore, Crossroads Kitchen guarantees a mouthwatering meal. Good for folks with allergies too; they seem to really pay attention to ingredients and cooking processes to ensure diner safety. My dinner mate has a severe peanut allergy and they attended to her needs with great care and respect. This restaurant is for everyone but if you're a vegan/vegetarian and you've missed bolognese, for example, Crossroads is a must-visit. Also: lively yet refined ambience, gorgeous decor and cocktails to die for.
First time here and it s going to be our new go to! The food is aaaaaaamazing!! the ambiance is cool and elegant and the staff .... super friendly and warm.
Highly recommend this place to all of the vegans out there that want to show the rest of the world that we eat better .
Btw we came here with a toddler...
Very kind staff. And the food was very delightful . So Yes, I really recommend this place 100%
If you re not vegan this place will have you considering!!! The BEST vegan food in LA!!!
Absolute garbage found hairs in my food and did not taste good
I didn t expect much from this place, but I like it here. Nice service
The service was great. Attentive and I didn't even notice when they would take empty plates. The food is delicious. I will definitely be going back.
When you're just starting out vegan this place is great and you'll want to keep going back (as long as your budget is willing). However, you will wear it out and things won't taste as great. My 6th time there the kale caesar was lacking, it was warm and limp and the croutons were stale as of someone else had ordered it earlier and they forgot it then gave it to us. The first 3 times I had the spicy meatball pizza #Yummm, then as I went to order it again, the server suggested their special sausage with peppers pizza #HardPass! Stick with what you know and love (except of you get a limp salad). I also tried the chicken parm, it came out hard like crispy cardboard sauce was good, but it needed some noodles and more sauce.Drinks are good, the took the maid service off the menu, but I asked for it and they made it. #StillDelicious
Crossroads is a fancy Vega restaurant , nicely decorated. They don t give you much to eat unless you order side dishes. The meal was over in half an hour. Not a place to hang out any talk. It was crowded on sat afternoon.
Best vegan ever. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've been to regardless of being vegan or not. Added bonus! My girlfriend is dairy free so it's great to find this kind of spot. Awesome LA restaurant on the list! Highyl recommend. Everything was delicious. Good service too!
Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing looks, amazing tastes. This restaurant really impressed me and my whole dinner party. We all agreed to give out five stars (note: we do not give five stars out easily!)
By far the best vegan / plant-based restaurant I have ever been to. The menu items are so incredibly delicious that even your non-vegan friends will enjoy this restaurant. Must try the Italian sausage pizza and sandwich, carbonara pasta with the egg yolk is simply amazing.
This place is expensive and the hours are limited but some of the entrees are quite good. The chicken and waffles are DELICIOUS. Now apparently they have the impossible burger as well.
Update: just went back and had the impossible burger for lunch. Get there early they run out around noon. It is pretty convincing but a touch drier than real meat. Delicious but pricey
Religiously visit and bring meat eaters without telling me it s vegan until the end. They never believe me hahahaha
Outstanding flavors and creativity. Truly remarkable taste to all the dishes we ordered.
unfriendly stuck up staff, doesn't take time to recommend you anything or explain the dishes. the food was boring, I have had way better food in other vegan restaurants that weren't even close to famous or expensive like that. artichoke oysters were a joke. the presentation was great but the taste just wasn't there for me. great ideas but they need to work on flavours and the staff should be nicer. this was supposed to be my LA highlight but it was the worst dining experience we had.
By far the best vegan restaurants in LA area. They make fresh pasta everyday, it has a great atmosphere, beautiful decor and good service. It is not just good "vegan" food, Tal Ronen is an exellent chef. If you walk into the restaurant without knowing it is plant based, I doubt you will find out! They've also have a full bar where they make their own creations. The picture below does not do any justice to the amazing food they make here. However, it shows how progressive they are by having the Impossible burgers featured in their menu.
Overpriced. Like many vegan places, over reliance on soy. Meal felt like a collection of very expensive, mostly tasty side dishes. The entree 'protein' was the only substantial misstep in terms of flavor, texture etc. - but since it was supposed to be the anchor for the meal the fact that it was unappealing greatly affected our perception of the whole experience.
So good! Of course it s pricey but here you definitely get what you pay for-top notch plant based meals! If you re in the area you must try.
This is an upscale restaurant that is vegan. It is Amazing!!!!! Nothing is missing from the taste of this food. It's seasoned beautifully and creatively mixed. I'm not vegan but it is hands down one of my top five favorite restaurants.
The cheese plate was so yummy that it took all of our restraint to not slap everyone else's hands away from it. The jam and toast were above the top.
The wine is fantastic add you can tell from the photo.
My only regrets are that I didn't take more photos of the food and that I don't live in L.A. We need places like this in Dallas. I look forward to going there again when I'm back in town.
I tried the asparagus soup, a cold soup perfect for summer time! The plates came quick. Delicious!! Very friendly staff. Relaxed and hip place. Totally recommend!!
Beautifully created dishes that taste as good as they look!
Unbelievable flavors. I am not vegan or even vegetarian and my mind was blown. Visit immediately and indulge in the seafood tower. It will change your perspective on vegan food. The service was phenomenal as well. I live in Orlando and can t wait to come back to L.A. again to visit this restaurant!
A vegan place that suits lovers of all food. Generally easy to get seating and the prices aren't bad at all. The food and drinks are all terrific.
This is just one chef's opinion, but hats off to Crossroads and her staff. In a world where service is dwindling and food is no more than means to a financial end, Crossroads has kept it as it used to be. The staff care. They have fun. They treated us with amazing smiles and joy. Crossroads works the room. She is everywhere insuring your meal is spot on. I will be coming here every chance I get when I'm in the City.
The food is decent, nothing great, but the prices are quite high. They "impossible burger", for which they have recently received press, is called this because it is impossible to get. Only served during brunch on weekdays. It's not clear to me who is able to go during these hours. The day I went they also were out of vegan cheese for the cheese plate. The interior decor, however, is quite nice.
The Impossible Burger - a MUST have!!! Get it with vegan cheese too. Tastes just like a delicious In N Out burger... only exponentially better... and better for you:) Comes with truffle fries on the side.
Best of best vegan dishes available out there--unparalleled creativity and mind-blowing flavors. Service was excellent; our waiter gave us great recommendations; food was served very fast although the place was very crowded and busy. You may need to make a reservation to get a table. Would definitely recommend their spicy meatball pizza, artichoke oysters, and impossible cigars. Price is great for a fine dining experience at such an upscale restaurant.
Good food, mushroom soup too salty, friendly staff.
