Love love love this place! Great vibe, friendly staff, fabulous wine, wonderful food! Our group planned to grab lunch and a few drinks but ended up staying for the afternoon! If ever back in VA I will definitely stop again and recommend to anyone traveling through!!
The wines are great. Service for the tasting and tour were awesome. We tried to have lunch before our tour, but I guess 2 hours wasn't enough time to make that happen. Mathew was the least attentive server I've ever had. I only give four star because the rest of the experience made up for the fact that I had to cancel my food order almost an hour after placing it due to server error. I would come back for wine, but not the bistro.
Beautiful view, service was great and wine options were diverse.
Great live music, friendly service and beautiful outdoor venue. The food is ok, as is the wine. Having a beautiful view of the Blue Ridge mountains while dining outdoors with friends and family makes for a great experience.
Excellent sports bar type food with sports bar prices, but on an expasive patio overlooking mountain views and vineyards. Food is much better than any sports bar. Very nice.
My wife enjoys the wine and the vineyard was really nice. However, anyone looking to get quarterly shipments of wine through their Key Club for $50-$60 be aware! They require a one year subscription although they do not tell you. It was never $50-$60, the lowest I paid was $85. I tried to cancel after two of the four quarters and they refuse to cancel it until I finished my subscription. When I tried to cancel after the fourth quarter, they tried to tell me I had to pay for another shipment although I had already paid and received four shipments. DO NOT JOIN THE KEY CLUB. It's a rip off.
The wait staff and food are amazing. We called ahead for information because of Covid, and the woman who answered the phone was condescending and rude. We went anyway, because the food is fabulous, and we didn't run into the snippy one.
Great wine flights! Love there meal menu. Ombiance is lovely. We will be back!
Beautiful! Very impressive views and delicious wine.
The service we had for a friend's birthday tasting back in March was wonderful, even though they were busy. The wines we tasted were so good that we bought a few bottles. However, 6 months later I went to open a bottle of chardonnay and the cork completely disintegrated, and I was unable to take it out without the bottom half of the cork falling into the bottle. The entire bottle of wine now has small bits of cork, which is very disappointing. TLDR; very good service and product, but beware of the cheap corks which will ruin bottles after a few months
Nice scenery. Very good wine. Really enjoyed the crabcake sandwich at the Bistro.
Very Elegant, great friendly staff and amazing wine. The food was very good and I spent most of my time dancing to the tasteful music. This is the best place I have been so far! I would highly recommend everyone to visit Cross Keys Vineyard
First time to a vineyard for me and because of this beautiful place, it won't be my last!
Wonderful lunch here today after a motorcycle ride over from the Fredericksburg area. The food was exceptional and serving our party of 15 was no problem. The food was hot and the orders were without error. Unfortunately, didn't get the opportunity to sample the wine but will definitely be returning to do so.
Service is very good, food very good, employees were face mask not so much guest. Tables are spread out 10 to 15 feet outside which is where we are. Don't know how it was indoors. The parking lot was over flowing at 11:00 on Sunday. Only blip was c/c tickets were wrong but we caught it and waitress fixed it immediately. So no worries...
What a beautiful place great food & wine & excellent service.
Beautiful day with live music, fresh food and tasty wines
If you are going for the view, the venue is beautiful; unfortunately, the wine is just average.
Amazing food, beautiful location, very clean with top notch service. Highly recommended!
Beautiful winery in the country surrounded by rolling hills of grapevines and mountains in the distance. Plenty of tables and chairs outside on a large patio. Restaurant seating is on patio due to covid. We had a bottle of Joy Red that was very nice and smooth, not too dry or too sweet.
Have been here several times when they were smaller and more intimate. They have grown, which is wonderful, but not at the expense of customer service, food quality and overall experience. We sat and waited for someone to acknowledge that we were waiting to be served. Then the server forgot our waters. The meal came and my husband's was wrong. (Je specifically asked for no onions and it came with onions all over er and mixed inside). My Pastrami Paninni was tough and the meat was extremely thick and hard to eat without pulling all that off the sandwich. We sat and then waited even longer to be acknowledged that we were ready to go and needed out check!
Had a wonderful tour with Isabella. Excellent. Very knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. Answered all our questions. Wine tasting followed. Excellent time. Cant wait to go back
The wine was absolute junk. I've had better Walmart box wine. The location is pretty but that's all this place has going for them. And I don't want to hear that B.S from the owners that there wine has won awards etc. I've been to many vineyards and the wine was just not good. Theres also many other reviews stating the same. Will not be back
The tasting room was great. Breehe was very personable and knowledgeable of the wine.
Wines and food were hit or miss and service was very slow. Some of the wines were good though and the setting is lovely.
Had the Italian panini w/ Cesar salad . Peach dessert wine ! Absolutely delicious & excellent customer service totally worth a visit !
Beautiful setting. Wonderful service. Delicious lunch.
One of my favorite wineries. The food from their restaurant is to die for! I loved going their for brunch. Their wine is out of this world. The views make everything fantastic. Definitely worth the drive out there to enjoy the day on their vineyard.
Best Sunday brunch, delicious wine and beautiful countryside!
A friend told me about this place, and I'm so glad she did! We ate lunch there yesterday on our way to Harrisonburg. The food was delicious, and the views were amazing. I can't tell you about the wine, though, because we didn't try any!
Perfect place to come to on a Sunday funday! Brunch is excellent here with their special winemosas (highly recommended!) and live music. Our waitress was really upbeat and nice. The front patio is incredibly spacious and has amazing scenery of the Shenandoah Mountain range. It's about a 2 hour drive from the DC area but it is so worth it. This vineyard is dog friendly but you can only have them on the patio-- no inside pups allowed unless they're a service dog. We ordered Rubens, French toast, and crab stuffed potato Chesapeake, all of which were very tasty and very filling. During our time here we also did a brief wedding tour of the location. Our guide, Ariel, was super friendly and accommodating since we didn't book an appointment prior to. She did a fantastic job at giving us a condensed but no less informative tour of their wedding services and venues.
Second visit to the winery and the wine has gone downhill, may have had a down year recently but left feeling our expectations from our first trip here were far too high
Everyone one was great and helpful. We took the tour and had the special treat of our tour guide being the wine maker, Steve. Very knowledgeable and nice. The wine is great also. I would recommend going.
Very nice venue! But poor service I don t blame the servers but the front end coordinator had us running around trying to place an order for food very poorly organized but I m willing to give them another chance.
Danielle was the best. My glass was never empty. She knew about every type of wine and I found one that was my favorite. I will definitely be back. This was the best winery I ve ever been to.
My favorite winery.. Beautiful place, amazing wine and friendly staff...
Gorgeous views but customer service is lacking. Staff was extremely unfriendly and rude to our party.
Our favorite Vineyard. Fabulous wine selection. Gourmet food menu. (Crab cakes delicious!) Atmosphere surrounded by mountain views. So many aspects to this vineyard. Outdoor huge patio offers magnificent skyline, ample seating along with Sunday brunches followed with live music in the afternoon. Inside is a lavish banquet room for large events. Friday night Tapas by the fireplace in the cozy back room. Out back is another large stone patio where we've spent many 4th of July's enjoying wine, music, and dancing under the stars. Nikoo treats customers as her guests. Upstairs has more seating with beautiful views. My husband takes me each Valentines Day for the hand crafted dessert & wine pairing. Our friends and family spent the Solar Eclipse at Cross Keys. It was a Spectacular afternoon.
Great wines and the Bistro has very good food. (albiet, the menu doesn't seem to change very often...hence the 4 rating...) Staff is very attentive. A fave wherever we get to H'burg.
We discovered this delightful winery a few years ago. We only get into the area once or twice a year, but always make it a must stop. We make it a point to have lunch there, the food is very good.
Pretty place but the staff is fairly rude. This is our third time trying it out and third time s the charm. The first time I though ok maybe they had a bad day, second time I thought ok maybe it was a hot day but today there was no reason to be rude and it happened again. It s almost like the culture of the place is for staff to be harsh and rude.
My husband and I had the best time at Crosskeys Vineyards this week. We will definitely be back to Massanutten next year, thanks Barbra for a great afternoon!
Went for Masquerade Salsa Night tonight and we had a blast!!! The staff was very professional and attentive.
We love this place! The setting is gorgeous and the wines are delicious. We'll overlook the way our server rushed us out Friday night when we dined here after our wine tasting, because that has never happened before. We joined their wine club and look forward to our next visit.
Very disappointing. Estate is beautiful but the wine tasting experience was much to be desired. Costly tasting (couldn't even keep the glass) and all the wines were very bland. Definitely need to experiment more with the 'recipes'.
Delicious food, beautiful scenery, and friendly service. Really appreciate that they went out of the way to make the experience as comfortable as possible in the midst of COVID-19 re-opening.
Outstanding winery! Beautiful grounds, delicious wine!
Beautiful location however, we sat at an outside table for an hour and received no service what so ever. The previous patrons dirty glasses and coffee cups sat with us the entire time.
Enjoyable atmosphere, good service, food and of course the wine!!! The view is beautiful!
Beautiful setting with mountain views. The wine was delicious, traditional in style and well presented. The food was a good value. Staff was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club with plans to return many times.
The food is absolutely amazing and the servers are always kind and upbeat. The wine is wonderful and it's always a good time to kill a few hours.
The vineyard itself was beautiful. We came to visit with our toddler on a Saturday. We clearly saw the "No outside Food or drinks sign", but the bistro was closed for a wedding, so we brought her juice box and gummy bears with us. We ordered two flights of wine as well as a meat & cheese plate and a bottle to take home. When the same employee who made our flights came to bring our platter, she was quick to tell us "that they do not allow outside food and drinks, but she could see that we had a kid." I get it, but REALLY!? Did we cheat you out of ordering juice and gummy bears that you didn't even have to keep our toddler satisfied for the hour that we were there!? A bit too pretentious for my taste.
The wines and staff were both phenomenal, ask for Sarah! We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.
Highly recommend. Beautiful setting, enjoyed the wine. Warning to first-time visitors, the entrance is not well-marked because of a curve in the road until you are right up on it and it's too late to slow down for the left turn. To the owners, I wish you offered two sizes of cheese plate sampler. One that serves two to three people, and the one you have on the menu that can serve four to six. Also adding some crackers would not go amiss. But the selection of cheeses nuts and fruits were great!
Staff and wine were just excellent and the estate couldn't have been more beautiful. During the wine tour, though, our guide explained that CrossKeys practiced self-proclaimed organic grape growing. I immediately noticed a residue on the grapes and leaves that looked different than the naturally occurring bloom and even signs that read "Pesticides" and a diagram showing the reader to not touch the grapes with their hands.... The guide was just as confused as I was. Some clarification would be nice!
Decided to check Crosskeys Vineyards out while visiting the area. Fantastic wine and food. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Price is good. This is a must of this area.
The brunch. The service. The wine. *chef s kiss*. Everything was amazing! They accommodated for my group s dietary restrictions and slight changes or additions to menu items. Loveddddddd the entitle vineyard. So beautiful !
I ve visited during every Massanutten stay since 2011. The property and building are beautiful. I recommend going on the tour if you ve never been, it s really cool and informative. My husband and I love eating at the bistro. The food is delicious, portions are huge, and it s reasonably priced. I like most of their white wines. This past visit I m a huge fan of the Hop Fruit D vine. Definitely worth a visit if you re in the area.
Beautiful property and grounds but the wine is not worth the cost. Just a surface level kitsch place.
The vineyard was very beautiful and the wine was fantastic, but we were told by the bistro to take a seat outside and menus would be given. The menus were delivered, but we waited over a half hour and our server never came back to take our order. We decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere.
Great atmosphere and great wine. The views are awesome as well.
What a dank spot. Honestly I have to say if you are a gambling person then put calls on this establishment. They could be short term or long term, either ones will print! The servers are next level and taking this place to the moon. If you thought Tesla was big then please do reassess your portfolio! The waitresses are are amazing and they are the following: Barbra, Ranae, Danielle.
Anytime we are in the area, we stop here we love the mountains and the atmosphere of crosskeys
This vineyard keeps their property very nicely manicured. Additionally, I was impressed by the family atmosphere. The tour of the facility was led by a very personable and knowledgible lady who really made us feel welcome.
The wines produced are very good and flavorful. Food at the Bistro us outstanding!
Outstanding experience. Wines were great, food was great, service was great and the scenery is spectacular. Will certainly be back next time I'm in the neighborhood.
Staff was very friendly & appropriately attentive! With wine, a charcuterie board, & the Texas grilled cheese you can't have a bad time!
Completely excellent experience! The wine was great, the food was excellent, the scenery is gorgeous, and the service is very friendly. Prices are reasonable. I visited CrossKeys during a day trip and if I lived in the area, I would frequent them regularly.
I wish I could rate the vineyard and the bistro separately! I would give the vineyard 5 stars. Great wine, service in the tasting room was great, the tour guide was informative and pleasant and the location is beautiful. The bistro however I would rate 1 star. The hostess said it was fine to sit at a table to wait and then she forgot us and seated another person who came after. Then we informed our waiter Matthew that we had scheduled a tour so that he knew that we were on a schedule. After an hour of waiting and watching all the tables that were seated after us get food, we had to cancel our food order at the bar since Matthew was not coming back.
I'm not into wine, but my wife is and we stopped by for an early fall tour and wine tasting. We also decided to dine and thought the combination of great staff, beautiful scenery, fantastic food, and a broad wine selection that even had me picking a few bottles to take home would be worth logging a review! We couldn't have picked a better stop for our anniversary vacation, would definitely visit again in the future!
This was a cute Vineyard. The layout could be better. It seems like the main area is overlooking a parking lot but they do have a very small area that overlooks the Vineyards. The wine was OK, reasonably priced
Great views and wine was good, but the staff seemed very put off by our presence and some were very rude.
Went to Sunday brunch. Very nice. Views are tremendous.
I not person that usually leaves reviews but after I put some thought into how my friends and I was treated I felt it was my responsibility to say how I feel. We Visited your Facility on Tuesday 10/27/2020 around 5:30 that evening to do a little wine tasting it was about 10 of us Barbara who served our wine was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the wines. We set outside under the tent to enjoy our wines we wanted to get a bit to eat no never came over to us (NO ONE) I did request a waitress at the table I was told someone would be right over, 20 minutes pass so I gave a second request and she replied (she never came over I will tell her again, when the server did come over 10 minutes after the second request she was Rude and told us it s to late for us to order the kitchen closes at 6:30 and just walked away I felt very uneasy about our experience because we was BLACK and she did not want to serve us. I Proceeded to tell another waitress of my feelings and she was very apologetic I let my phone number with her and also Informed her that we would be in town until Saturday and would like to speak with a manager she Assured me I would get a return phone call before we left town, well here we are and it s now November the 2nd and no return phone call yet, we visit west Virginia every year and try different vineyards in the area one thing I know for sure this is one we will never Visit again.
Love it at CrossKeys - wonderful lunch and relaxing atmosphere
Brunch is delicious and well-priced. The cheese platter as a starter was perfect, though expect to not have as much room for your meal! All the cheeses were lovely and delicious.
The building and the views were gorgeous. I did not buy any wine after my tastings
Since the whole social distancing started our local favorites are forced to come up with creative ideas to keep us coming without hanging out. I believe that Crosskeys has come up with a wonderful idea called "Date night"! If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out.
A wonderful way to spend an afternoon! Great wines and good food!
Good little winery with a nice selection of reds and whites coupled with friendly staff.
Very beautiful..Staff very kind...wines nice..enjoyed our time...little warm during our visit so didn't enjoy the patio..maybe next time...thx again!
Service was horrible! Took a ridiculous amount of time for the server to come to the table each time. Several times we had to get up and go get her. Beautiful place, but not worth the wait!
Beautiful vineyards, amazing views. Good wines, not great. Very knowledgeable staff. Great experience
