Had to get to NYC on a Monday morning for work, decided this would be the best way from Mass. Thoroughly impressed at how easy it was and how nice it made my trip

Best way to get to Connecticut from Long Island. Why get stuck in traffic when you can hang at the bar?

We took a ferry to avoid NY city traffic. It was relaxing and well worth the money.

A great calm day with a view of New London. Train station is right near by as well as garage parking. Going out there is a good view of the General Dynmaics ship yard but the Submarines are covered up so that you can not see much of them. Loading and unloading went very smoothly

A pleasant way to break up a trip and avoid traffic.

Quick and easy, plenty of space. Wish the rates were a more reasonable.

Crew is friendly and efficient. If only the prices were a bit cheaper, we'd take the fee try more often.

Affordable. Easy to get in, easy to get out. Would suggest buying the base price or discounted tickets, as the premium fare tickets give you a 3 minute advantage in getting in/out. At $55, it is worth the price. The ship is well maintained and the restaurant inside is pretty good too. Would suggest taking a jacket at all times (it is very windy) if you would like to sit outside and enjoy the ocean.

I have used this Ferry several times and its always on time. The ships are ride well and people area great.

Very busy area but well ran. Definitely be early for your ferry if you ate driving on it gets backed up quickly

A good and fast connection to LongIsland. Unfortunately the reservation did not work from Germany

I have taken the Cross sound Ferry in excess of 500 trips.. all on time, safe and comfortable! Updated passenger areas, great food in their deli and clean.. I mean sparkling restrooms! Great value with discounts available by joining their rewards program s! Cruise on!

Excellent, professional, clean, good food, polite, reliable, safe.

Nice and clean, but they need to let people stay in their vehicles if they choose to do so. I m tired of people laying across six seats to sleep or taking up a booth so they can stretch their legs out and stare at their phones.

Just told by the a crew member that it is ok for a child to shoot darts across the deck because it s a toy.

The ONLY way to travel to New England from LI... great service, great fleet, perfect for kids AND a historic ship in the Cape Henlopen that served on D Day at Normandy!!!!

Love this ferry to Greenport, NY. Great cafe and good seats. They make the best bloody mary's at their bar too.

Took the ferry as an alternative to the I-95 on our return to NYC after a long weekend in Maine. So glad we did, it was a chilled 1.5hr boat ride rather than the mess of driving through the top of manhattan.

The ferry is clean, they provide food & beverages and the views sometimes are spectacular!

Wonderful ferry service that makes an otherwise stressful, long, and expensive drive around Manhattan a wonderful boat ride across the Long Island Sound. The ships are comfortable and the food is great; they observe time schedules quite effectively, and the reduced rates they offer for unpopular travel times can't be beaten.

Easy. Friendly staff, flexible scheduling. I drove my rental right onto the lower deck, locked it, and enjoyed the ride. A great addition to my east coast road tour.

Don't bother getting there early. This business does not understand or use the practice that every other business used, first come first serve. We were the first ones in line on the dock, last to be loaded, and last off the boat. When I politely inquired about my concern, staff was very rude. A suggestion to people who are considering using this ferry: only get there 20 minutes early. Don't waste your time any earlier than that. A word to management: learn how lines work. Great way to get to Long Island. We used this ferry to cross Long Island Sound on our annual Vineyard tour.

Great experience, they follow all the safety requirements.

Good overall ferry service. Food service on board is usually quite slow. All the cooks take lessons from the same school of only preparing one order at a time. Quality is fine in general.

Love the Cross Sound Ferry lines..awesome staff!from summer to freezing winter..from sunup to sundown..the keep ships running,safely,to get us back n forth..in all types of weather!Ships are Clean,stocked,Always given life jackets location before each ride starts!!seats are comfy,tables too..but get there and on early or you get no booth with table..but there are trays with a chair like in movie theatre..food is good,hot pretzels great!and certain days there are games aboard to play and prizes to win(we won a few) to make ride time go faster..faster time is on Sea Jet only 45..,Slower is big ships..Hour and 45 or more..but it's great views of sunrises or sunsets..if your on those times

Best hour and 20 minutes ride... New London to Orient Point

Have never had a bad experience on the ferry. Great scenic ride through the sound. Makes going to Long Island from New England easy.

I like this ferry. Always been pretty punctual. Never happy about the price.

Service is so off I'll never go back to Block Island. Tourists need friendly and kind help, not where is your ticket and tell them to go get a reprint only to be told they don't reprint tickets. Thankfully I found my ticket, but my day and others at the window were ruined. Ok, they are booked full everyday. It one reason New England is no longer a destination. You sh** on tourists who spend money.

Expensive if you're taking your car with you, but really fast and fun ride. Good food and nice bar on board.

Great way to get around that blight on the northeast called corrupticut I mean...

Paid extra for priority boarding. I'm the captain now

If you need to get to North Eastern CT in a hurry then this is the best way to get there. It definitely is less stressful than driving all the around the sound. The staff at the NY side of the ferry terminal are generally well mannered and helpful. You should definitely plane ahead allotting yourself extra time for the long single lane drive out to Orient Point.

First boat of the day to Orient Point. Nice crossing.

Had a wonderful round trip from New London, CT to Orient Point, NY for a family reunion on Long Island. Was a great experience for 3 grandsons who had never been on a ferry and relived many trips taken with my father. It's expensive, but does alleviate drive time in usually heavy traffic in the summer. Register as a Rewards Member and that will help drive down the cost. Bon Voyage!
