Obviously the work by the merchandisers and truck drivers are second to none. However, the HR department is consistently absent which makes them unhelpful. They send you straight to voicmail and never contact you back. On top of that, the operating hours are clearly listed that they are open from 8-4, yet they are all gone by 3 if not earlier, on days that are early in the week.... not even Fridays. For a company that screams how customer service is most important, they sure dont act like it in the front office.

Place won't take you in 15 minutes prior to your appointment and off street parking is not available. The phone by the gate is 90s technology and gets very annoying to use if someone does not anwser because you need to wait for it to reset. No hang up or reset button. However they get you out of there in 30 minutes. You appt is at 9. Show up at 8:45 and at 9:30 you are on your way. Wish more shippers/receivers would operate this way

Check-in finally takes your paperwork and assigns dock. You sit in truck or 10mins when trailer quits moving. Oh an employee helped me get through gate because intercom push buttons didn't work. And unloaded was real quick.

Will call? Where? Doors all locked had to walk to other end of building to be greeted by a snotty receptionist. How about signage at the will call door that lets a person know where to go.

When I was hired I thought mighty high of this place and over time I began to realize the company was full of bs. They acted like it was more than a job but a family. Well family till my car broke down and needed help getting to work for 2 weeks. Needless to say every single coworker including my lead turned their backs on me. After a few days I contacted the Hr department regarding my last check. I never got through to them regardless of how many times I called. The games they played I felt were very petty to say the least. Although I had to quickly make adjustments in my life financially from losing my job I am so grateful I no longer work for these cronies. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

You can show up 10 min before your appt. Dont come earlier then that. There is room on brooks street to park for about 3 trucks. I wouldnt recommend parking overnite. When you get to the gate push #001 (pound button then 001). Easy backing to the docks. They will tell you at gate which dock you get. Slide axles back, remove load locks before backing in. When they are done they will bring bills to your truck.

They make you turn your truck off while they unload you.. And in the heat of the day, it can make things quite unbearable. They do have a small waiting area inside where you can sit and wait, away from unforgivable sun.. Fairly quickly at getting you unloaded though.

This company is a joke compared to other beer DC's...

This company is a joke compared to other beer DC's(Hensley). They start you at $12.00 for probation period(6 weeks). Then you get a huge raise to $14.00 an hour, base hourly rate, you get no raises after that, you get no bonuses. They have a incentive program which is a TOTAL JOKE AND SCAM, its set in place to help the company and not the employee(order selector) any one with common sense will figure it out within 1st week of employment. Your incentive goes off the cases per hour you pick, to make any money you have to pick at most 250 per hour, at 250 cases per hour you'll be making around $15-$16, that's if your error rate isn't high and if your cases per hour stay at or above 250 per hour. They have this thing called over and short thats when the driver delivers the product, you can be over or short(errors, putting your money in the drivers hands) driver can break something and say you were short, driver can make a mistake. So that kills your incentive. 2nd thing that kills your incentive is the overtime, you work 9-10 hours everyday, your cases per hour start going down, your incentive drops from $16-$22 an hour to $14-$15 an hour, 3rd thing your incentive is NOT PAID OUT per daily productivity, its PAID OUT BASED on pay period which is 2 weeks, so basically to make good money you have to pick 250+ cases per hour everyday for 2 weeks straight with no errors or less than 15-20 errors, (smart move by the company), you'll work 90-100 hours in those two weeks. (so drink some monsters everyday to keep your cases per hour at 250+) ANOTHER THING WRONG with this company is, at the surprise location with supervisor MIKE, you'll go in and don't know what your walking into, he doesn't tell the order selectors weather there is 25k or 35k for the night. you'll just work and work not knowing. 2nd THING, also at the surprise location YOU WON'T KNOW how many cases you are picking a hour till 2 hours before your shift ends,( which is wrongful towards the order selector who makes his money to feed his family strictly of cases per hour). ANOTHER THING WRONG WITH CCD, you won't really know how much you are expected to get paid on pay day because they won't post your cases picked and errors, until the night before payday (which is ridiculous) you could have remembered making 10 errors last week and the paper could say 60 ERRORS, CAN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT NOW.. So you picked all them cases and which you should be getting 22 an hour for instead there error scam comes in and pays you pennies on the dollar for the kind of work you produced. LAST THING WRONG WITH CCD is they expect you to pick 200+ an hour CASES in your probation period for $12.00 an hour(slavery at is finest) because your new and your going to make errors, you won't see no incentive durning the first month or two, but your still expected to pick 10k-12k cases a week, LET ME REMIND YOU $12.00 AN HOUR isn't worth the type of work your doing, lifting beer cases for 9-10 hours straight, starts damaging your back. I'm a skilled order selector picked crates of meat at 350+ per hour, I know my WORTH and CCD isn't were you want to be IF YOU ARE A SKILLED ORDER SELECTOR who can pick at a quick rate.CCD NEEDS TO REVISE THERE PAY SYSTEM AND FOR THE TYPE OF WORK THERE BASE SALARY SHOULD BE $16-$17 AN HOUR + INCENTIVE.. IF CCD SPENT MORE MONEY ON FIGURING OUT THERE SYSTEM AND MONEY ON THEIR EMPLOYEE'S INSTEAD OF PUTTING MONEY IN THOSE CUTE LITTLE MARON UNIFORMS, THEY WOULD BE A OUTSTANDING COMPANY NEXT TO THE BEST SUCH AS KROGER,WALMART ETC..
