This is a quality salon that I would recommend to anyone. I ve been a client for 2 years and my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. Some of the services I ve had are balayage, extensions, and cut with root color. I ve never been disappointed. The salon is also very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere.

I went into this salon in hopes to get a platinum blonde that is shown on ALL over their social media. The owner who has 13 years in the industry, put bleach all over my head that was already a golden blonde. After 40 minutes of bleach burning my scalp, which she said was normal during the process, she finally rinsed me. You would think after that long with bleach it would make my hair white, but instead I walked out of the salon with my roots golden and the bottom part grey and my ends feeling like sandpaper. I spent almost $200 to get my hair done here and I am so disappointed in their false advertising. I do NOT recommend going to this salon if you want to have any hair left. Since then I ve heard nothing but negative things about this salon!

Volume knocked it out of the park. I came to them with my very damaged, somewhat spotty, home bleached hair asking for a pretty challenging color change. Erin at volume sat down with me to determine exactly what I needed, literally SAVED my damaged hair with a malibu and oleplex treatment (my hair is so soft now I don t know when it was ever this healthy before) and then spent a ton of time, energy, and attention to detail to get me EXACTLY what I wanted. I couldn t be more grateful, this is the only salon I trust to touch my hair. I don t see myself going anywhere but Volume again.

Spent over $200 at this salon and did not get even remotely close to what I asked for. Color was wrong and patchy. I will be going elsewhere in the future

Love this salon!! I have been to so many salons trying to get rid of the frizz in my naturally curly hair and Erin recommended a Brazilian Blowout that has kept my hair looking so healthy and frizz free for over 3 months. My husband loves my hair straight and this has cut my styling time in half just like promised. I would highly recommend Erin!!

I saw the pictures of different styles they have done on Facebook. I honestly was scared of going to a new salon . I didn't let anyone else touch my hair for the past 10 years besides the same lady. I went to the volume salon and let me tell you this. The staff is very knowledgeable and knows there stuff. Erin the owner is who done my hair. I walked out of there with not just healthy hair and but also a friend . Everyone there makes you feel welcomed. And will not do something if they know your hair isn't healthy enough to do it. I'm pleased to say I am now a regular client coming every 6 weeks. My hair is healthier than it has ever been. And I always feel beautiful everytime I walk out.

I went there a little over a week ago, and had my hair cut by Taylor. Im currently 36 weeks pregnant, and my little girl has drained the little life I had left out of my hair (from bleaching and dying @ home). I told her I wanted it about a half inch above my shoulders for convienence and low maintance. She did just that and added a layor to bring some volume back to my hair. She did an absolutely amazing job and I couldnt be more thankful. It makes me feel so much better Ive seen some of her other work and I cant wait to go in and get a little color added to my hair by her! Thank you again Taylor !!!

I don t recommend this salon. I have gone multiple times for the basic highlight. They do okay with that, but I recently went for a balayage and it turned out horrible and completely damaged my hair. I went to get the 7 day fix up which got it to a tolerable look, but I have still never been so embarrassed of hair then I feel right now. I am almost to the point of cutting it off for a complete restart.

This is definitely a upcoming & successful business. I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Maddy who has great customer service skills, very welcoming & a very talented stylist. It s definitely a very modern & reasonably priced salon, where you re able to experience that one on one time with your stylist & walk out with something new & fun that you love! Over all a great experience, I can say I am a very satisfied customer & will continue to come back as well.

I always have amazing experiences getting my hair done Mariah. She s amazing and always gets my hair just right! I would recommend her to everyone! She s very professional and sweet, I never feel unwanted coming to her like I have in the past by other stylist.

I repeatedly had to say what I wanted done to my hair. Even after this, the stylist still would not do what I wanted and rushed me out of her chair. I then contacted the owner expressing my thoughts on my haircut...that I hate. Instead of being professional, she fought with me on what was done with my hair. I would not recommend this salon at all. The prices are way too high for awful cuts and unfriendly stylists.

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with Ashley yesterday! I really appreciated her kindness and being so attentive to my hair needs. I have not had a salon visit like that in 6 years. Needless to say the 45 minute drive was worth it! I can't wait to show my co workers on Monday my new hair! I will be returning to Volume for my future hair appointments Thanks again for creating such a wonderful environment and having such a great stylist!

Very disappointed :( I was so excited to go here. Went in had my hair done it was awful so I told them to re do it because I was very unhappy. They seemed pissed about it. I was there over 6 hrs just wanted to get out of there told them I did not want to get it cut and styled bc I did not like it. Even though I did not get everything done I was still charged full price and left with wet hair and no cut. Never going back

I love this salon. The absolute best for vivids. My stylist Chelsea is the only person I let touch my hair. The atmosphere is great and all the girls are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Wouldn't reccomend any other salon but, this one.

Didn't stop here either. All you have to do is go by someplace and they want you to rate it. STUPID.

Love this salon! I looked up the salon info for a family member so I could refer her and was really shocked at the amount of fake reviews. I moved to OH two years ago and came across this salon after I decided to mess up my hair at home. I asked who they recommended for blondes and Ashley was suggested. Since then I have never changed up salons or my stylist. She listens to everything I want for my hair. When I thought I needed an all over bleach color correction, she was able to give me what I want through high lights. Less damaging and cost effective. Everyone at the salon has been really nice every time I ve gone and I m about to book again here before I go out of town. Stop hating on a successful salon and go see for yourself!

Recently saw a review on Mariah. She started cutting my hair a year ago along with all my friends I send to her. I just want everyone to know she goes above and beyond for all her clients. She is excellent at cutting hair. And that s actually one thing besides hair color she is really really good at ! This salon is excellent as well always making sure they are trying to satisfy there clients. Very clean salon and very nice looking! It s sad that other people want to ruin someone career on social media based upon there own actions and degrades everyone! This salon is literally the coolest one I ve seen yet !!!!!!!!!! And they deserve more credit than what they get .

This salon does an over-the-top job. I previously had gone to Charles Penzone, Kenneth's, and Salon Lofts but it was never what I truly wanted. I went to Volume the Salon for the first time in August of 2016 after following the Volume The Salon instagram page and seeing all of the beautiful hair colors! I have gone 5 or 6 times since then! I have never left the salon upset with my hair or regretting what I had gotten done. Every time I show Erin a picture of what I want, she does exactly that! Another thing I love is they aren't pushing you to buy any product or to get your hair cut... I've been to too many salons that almost force you to buy a hair product or for you to just get your hair "trimmed" when that's not what I went there for. I will definitely be going back once my hair grows out a little more, I always look forward to my appointments and cannot wait to go back! Erin and all of her girls do a WONDERFUL job at Volume The Salon.

I see Kayla here and omg!! Every time I go I am in love with my hair. She listens to what I want and creates artistry in hair. The salon is welcoming, staff are friendly. I am a customer for life!

Erin is fantastic! She will make sure that you are happy and that you get exactly what you ask for! When I first went in, I was terrified to be a new salon and my hair getting butchered. Erin was very understanding and made sure I was comfortable! We ended up cutting 14 inches off my hair and donating it to wigs for kids! 10/10, 100% recommend!

I have never had a problem when I come here so I don't know why some people are complaining. The only reason I would leave a complaint is that some of the stylists aren't very talkative or don't seem very friendly some of the time. That's okay, they could be going through things that day so I have no reason to judge. They always do an amazing job with my hair and I will keep coming back.

The most important thing to a woman, other than her kids, is HER HAIR!! I would not trust any other salon with my hair. Bottom line! Volume is my one and only, the love of my life and has been for years! Several years ago I did have to go to another salon due to my stylist, Erin being out of town and it was a complete disaster! I left the fill in salon looking like I should have 101 Dalmatians following me! I cried for days. I made a promise to myself and my hair that I would never ever walk into another salon no matter what! I have referred many, many friends and even strangers to Volume and will continue to do so! I get so many compliments on my hair and people wanting to know where I get it done that I asked the owner to supply me with business cards so I can just hand people a card when they ask. I have one friend who moved to Georgia and travels back to Ohio to get her hair done at Volume. The talent in that salon is truly irreplaceable. I would drive 100 days to get Volume if I had to!

I had never been to the salon before and when I walked in it felt great, loved the energy and the feeling of being welcome! I went to the salon to get a balayage and it turned out perfect!!! Taylor did an amazing job and I will def be back!!!! Thank you Taylor!!!

We love this Salon!! Always come out happy!! My stylist Chelsea is amazing she always does exactly what I asked. She is the only stylist i have had cut my hair for years! I got 3 vibrant colors. Pink, blue and purple. And Erin did such a wonderful job and the hospitality was amazing! I will be going back for future hair appts. And Thank You bunches!

My experience was awful. My hair was done by Maddy, she had to ask for help every step of the way. I didn t pay top prices for beauty school services. I ask for a bayalage. (Dark brown and maroon) and got all over maroon color. First my roots turned a brassy color then attempted to correct it. I paid 130$ for an all over color on which I could of done my self by going to a beauty supply store and purchasing the dye my self. As far as the cut it was horrible the worst hair cut I have ever received. I explained how I was completely unhappy and the owner Erin rescheduled me to fix it . I went ahead and got the cut corrected else where because there is no way I was letting anyone else there touch my hair with scissors. I went to my appointment for the color correction. My roots are not as red but my hair still looks nothing like I wanted. No one even notices the difference from the first dye to the correction . As I was getting my hair corrected I was ask if I needed my hair trimmed, I explained how I had already had the cut corrected. I was asked why I didn t let them do it. I then showed her the pictures in which the stylist who corrected my hair took. She didn t even bother looking at the pictures and listening to my issue. Didn t even offer a partial refund for the money I spent to get the cut fixed. I also was told by my usual stylist she should of offered a conditioning treatment for free because my hair being dyed so many times. I wasn t offered anything not even a sorry. The only thing that was offered was them redoing my hair, in which I am still not 100% happy with! I will never go to anyone else beside my usual ever again. And I am begging you please save your money and hair and DO NOT GO HERE!

Nice set up inside friendly staff. However I was charged 160 for a perm. Most likely won't be going back. She wrapped my ends so tight they did not take.

I always had positive experiences with Chelsea, but the last time I went I had a different person. She was clearly impatient when my hair wasn't lightening enough for the look I wanted, the back of my shirt I was wearing was bleached all to hell afterward. Plus the 20 dollar Olaplex treament I paid for was only left on for, I'm not joking, 30 seconds. Not nearly enough time for it to work. I wouldn't mind my hair being in a transitional phase at all, it takes time to lighten my hair as much as I like and I'm well aware of that. I DO mind that I left with very damaged hair because she was too rushed to leave the treatment on, her clear annoyance with me and the length of my appointment, and the fact that their prices had raised dramatically since my last visit and she didn't bother to advise me beforehand. I used to make the long trip to visit Volume but that was my last time.

l LOVE LOVE this salon! It s simple, if you want beautiful hair go see Erin at Volume! I showed up with raggedy hair and a beautiful picture from google (brown brassy hair to beautiful blonde balayage) and she REALLY put the picture to shame.. my hair is friggen BEAUTIFUL NOW!! Everyone I see walking out of the salon has beautiful hair and I would see any stylist there! I can tell that education is important at this salon and they are on top of the trends! Everyone compliments and asks me where I get my hair done so I m SCREAMING Volume The Salon!! 10000% recommend!

Went with my best friend to get her hair highlighted and cut for her wedding day. Not only did she leave with orange brassy highlights, one side of her hair was shorter than the other and her bangs look choppy. She asked for it to be fixed and the girl told her that she was her last client of the day and would have to reschedule for another time. Her wedding is next Saturday and she is in complete tears about it. She has no interest in ever returning to this place as the girl was completely rude to her. We heard good things about this place but honestly it was such a disappointment and the entire salon just looked and felt filthy, very poor management. She won t be back :/

Got to my appointment 15 minutes early and still had to wait 30-45 to get in the chair. The stylist did my hair and wasn't very friendly, and she was messy. None of the girls for that matter were friendly. The only person that talked to me was the intern. She was great! The price was good the salon was clean. I felt like they rush and push you out of the chair to get another head in.. If there that busy they need to hire more people or not schedule so many appointments in one day..

So scary to look for a new hair dresser and this place was great and the people lovely! Deff would recommend!!

I recently had my hair done by Mariah at the volume salon and I could not have asked for a better turn out. I have been trying to go blonde for a while and needed a color correction, and a stylist who knew how to use toner. I was in and out super fast, and she did exactly what I wanted! I left with beautiful hair and a smile on my face, I would definitely recommend Mariah!

I've been a client of Erin and the salon for many years. She conducts herself in the most professional manner. She always remembers they way I have my hair cut and always does a great job. Highly recommended for anyone!

Quoted me 22 on the phone, as soon as my goddaughter sits in the chair its 32, and when we check out at the register its 52, all the they did was wash and style it, such a ripoff, will never go back.

I had a hair dresser and trusted her sooo much and now she is no longer doing hair. I was so scared to go anywhere or have anyone touch my head at all!!!!!!! Volume the Salon provides top notch service and has a trendy atmosphere. My stylist, Chelsea, is a magician when it comes to color! She took me places I never imagined I could get to with my hair. Volume The Salon is a trendy salon, all my friends and family are clients. I was going to a cheaper salon but my hair was unhealthy and just never looked the way I wanted. I love Ashley I will be back she did such a good job and very friendly as well.

I moved to the area 2 years ago from Pittsburgh. I loved my salon there and assumed that no one in little Urbana could do as good of a job. I've been getting my hair cut in Columbus but have been unable to find someone who does a good enough job I'd go back. I decided to try Volume. I am never going anywhere else. Chelsea did a phenomenal job, listened to exactly my goal for my hair and knew how to make it happen. This is one of if not the best cut I have had. I usually do my color (I'm a control freak) but am considering letting Chelsea do it based on how great of a job she did and how precise, caring, skillful, and competent she was with this cut.

Ive been here so many times and its been my go to salon for years! Sadly, today I was let down horribly. I set an appointment several days in advance for a simple hair cut and showed up a few minutes early. The stylist was very busy so she told me to come back in 15 minutes, which wouldve been my scheduled time (12 p.m) so that was fine. What was not fine though is waiting over an hour and a half for her to call me back after she said she would when she was ready for me. I live 40 minutes away and told the salon in advance that I was bringing my newborn. Not only is their seating area closed so I had no where to sit and nurse my newborn, but I had to carry around a heavy carseat and child through the down town area for over an hour! I very rarely have free time as a new mom and now Im scrambling to find a place to cut my hair today. Very upset this is how I have to spend my very limited free time. I wouldve been much happier had the stylist at least called me and warned me of the long wait, but she neglected to do that. I understand when people are busy and overwhelmed, but there is zero excuse to not give me a fair warning on my expected wait time. This place has gone down hill and I will no longer be a customer.

I always love my hair when I leave here. I m so cautious about who cuts my hair but Erin will always leave my length as long as I want it.

I went and got half my hair cut off and Rachael did a great job. I'm actually going back tomorrow to get the other half cut off too! And my friend Jen got her hair done by Kayla and it looked magical!!

They are always very courteous and friendly there! Erin the owner is always thankful for your business and she tells you so even though someone else took care of you. Danielle does a great job with cuts, colors, Manis and Pedis and always very willing to help you with anything that you aren't happy with (if anything). I would highly recommend!!!

**I urge everyone reading these reviews to notice for every one bad review on a certain stylist, within a day or so three good reviews are posted within just minutes of each other complimenting this stylist. **

Wouldn't recommend Mariah if you're looking for a new hairstyle. She wasn't very personable, all I got was the "it's not my hair, it's yours" and l was looking for something to excite my hair that hasn't been cut in a year, basically got a very elementary chop with no styling for $25.

I feel like when you get your hair done you should come out feeling like a thousand bucks. Feeling like a solid $2 right now.

Felt rushed and not welcoming. Probably going to try and find somewhere else to fix it.

Also I'm pretty sure she snipped a hole in the back of my shirt as that's about the right spot where she cut my hair off.

They did offer a redo within seven days. But I did not feel comfortable returning.
Someone from this establishment has create multiple false reviews for my place of employment. Coincidentally right after this review was replied to late last evening.

We are looking to get these fake reviews removed and legal action will be taken if needed as creating fake profiles and posting untrue comments is fraud and libel and can escalate to the state or federal level according to our lawyer.

I scheduled my appt. for 01-29-18 at 10:30 with the notion that I was getting what I had asked for when I had scheduled with them. Wrong. I had a lady named Heather doing my hair. I showed her the picture of what I was wanting and she said no problem. She asked me if I needed anything and I told her that I just had to be out by 3 p.m. because I work 2nd shift and live 40 minutes from the Salon and needed time to get home still. She again said no problem. She told me it would be best if I had a Malibu because I had my hair colored about 4 months ago (the first time I ever have) She goes to take me to the sink but stops because the sink was dirty and needed to be cleaned. Dirty sinks right when they open? So are they not cleaning up properly? Right before she started putting color in my hair I asked her if she wanted to have the picture stay up on my phone for reference and she said no that she knew what I wanted. Throughout the process she talks to me about myself and I tell her I'm a single mom and that my birthday is coming up that's why I wanted to take the time to get my hair done how I wanted. Little did I know she wasn't really listening to me. As she was applying the color she kept stopping to change the music on her phone. She asked what I listened to. I told her whatever would make her work best was fine with me. I tried to check the time with the only clock they had in the upper section but of course it wasnt working. She ran out of dark color and went back for more. When she came back she made the entire bottom of my hair black, which I would later find out was a completely different color then what she was using throughout. And she didnt even use foils for that. So I had black colored hair just laying on the back of my neck. She was rushing it. When she goes to wash my hair out she tells me she has to make sure the black doesn't bleed with the blonde and that hopefully the "Hair Gods" are with us. So I trusted she knew what she was doing. As she was washing my hair out she asked what my boyfriend would think. I don't have a boyfriend. And if she was actually listening to me she would have known that. At this time it was 3:00 p.m. the time I had asked to be done and out of there for work. The time she said would not be a problem. Nervous, she started to blow dry my hair. She asked if I liked it. I told her it was different. Define different? Like nothing like the picture I asked for. Instead of blonde on top and black underneath I got silver on top with a lot of bluish throughout with black under that. So instead of having mainly blonde I had mainly a dark blue color. She asked to do my eye brows and style my hair. I told her that I had to leave 30 minutes ago and that I didn't want any of that. Again not listening. She takes me over and takes their photo for their FB page which they shine a bright light inches from your head as you face their wall. I go to pay and rush to my car. Its already past 3:30, and my hair is nothing like I asked. It is literally silver with a dark blue throughout and dark black underneath. I end up calling into work that night because I knew I couldn't get to work on time now and frankly my hair was completely ruined. When i got home i had black stained on the back of my neck and ear where she didnt wash me off all the way. I called them back that day and got Erin, the oh so proud owner. I tell her I'm not sure why its silver and blue and not blonde and black like i wanted . She tells me to wash it a couple times. Complete no regards for my concern. Very rushed phone call. I ended up going to another salon and they did their best to fix it for me. It wasn't till after I left a bad review that Erin called me again. I requested a partial refund for all the money I had to spend to fix their mistake and got no response back. The Volume Salon is nothing but a make shift, photo shopped, uncaring and over priced salon that doesn't value their costumers real concerns only thier own fake image. Do not go there and waste your money and time.

The ONLY place I will go to get my hair done. GREAT service! FABULOUS stylists! Inside the place is GORGEOUS! I have went there a couple if times and no problems, just GREAT customer service!

I came in with black hair and wanted to go to a platinum blonde. They told me they could do it but it would take a few sessions, which is understandable. The first session she did highlights and i was very impressed. My second time coming back she asked what we were doing and i said i wasn t sure i jus wanted to get to a lighter color, so she told me we would jus do more highlights on top of the other ones. I sat in there for over 4 hours and when i walked out my head was completely bleached! and that was not what we talked about or what i had asked her to do. they stuck me with a newbie who kept asking questions as she was doing my hair. it was very unprofessional. Also a few weeks after not returning, they posted my before hair picture as someone else s !! DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ONLY DAMAGE YOUR HAIR MORE
