Great place for the kids. Miss Karen was awesome helping my little one get his first cut. The cars as seats are awesome for both little boys and girls. All the TVs here definitely helps to keep their attention as well. Super nice people that works along with any fussy kid.

Save yourself the time & money...go somewhere else! I understand that these are difficult times but to not even have a receptionist to answer your call and relying solely on the bot to answer via text didn t make this experience pleasant from the start. But since there were so many glowing reviews I thought we d give this place a shot. Firstly, it appears they are only accepting appointments via a website which was fine (though annoying and time consuming to have to set up a username & password for a 3yr olds haircut) I requested a master stylist for the additional fee and in the notes explained exactly what we d like done with our sons long hair. Well they clearly do not read the notes and assigned us a stylist who asked what we wanted...didn t you read my notes? Of course not. We were barely greeted in a manner you d expect from a salon dealing only with kids instead it was very cold and almost like we were wasting their time. We were all wearing our masks though an older child before us didn t have one on for his cut and my husband asked if it had to be on and for us it did which is better to be safe but please be consistent and make every kid wear one no matter what. Our son has long hair and we needed a few inches cut off so I showed pictures of what we wanted and also explained the look... however she proceeded to slather some cream all over his head, pulled all of his hair back & chop it unevenly he was moving around and she directed my husband where he could stand and asked me to stand back...cuz your being so nice to my kid it s really gonna help him to move his Mamma away? I commented a few times that it was uneven & longer in the front & sides than the back but she seemed to keep blaming it on my son moving around and kept commenting if he kept moving she was going to get hurt. If you cut kids hair for a living maybe you should know how to make a child feel comfortable instead our son was so scared of her he never said a word & held my husbands hand in a death grip. We felt like we were annoying her they way we got snapped at. When she finally gave up cutting she didn t even dry it and we had no idea what it was really going to look like but to hoped for the best... that was it no nice meeting you no lollipop (though my son watched other kids get them) no nothing just here s how much it is oh & only cash tips (which we only found out from the sign on the desk when we walked in who deals with cash during COVID) my husband and son walked out while I paid and proceeded to tip in cash over 30% and not for good service but mostly because I felt like we were such an inconvenience. When we finally got home 30 minutes later to see the uneven hack job she did my son looked in the mirror and cried he said he got the wrong haircut... he s 3 and even he knew it was bad! Attached is a picture of the back & side for reference please don t be misled and think it looks bad because his head is tilted... believe me it s that bad or I would never have taken the time to write this long of a review. Now I get to find somewhere that can fix it.
I love this place. Karen is amazing! My son looks forward to getting his haircut. They make it such a positive experience for kids!
Love this Salon! The staff is auper nice and patient, very cute atmosphere for kids, the cars they sit the kids in fir haircuts are adorable and for the little girls they have a cute little princess like area for haircuts. My 6 year ols is Autistic and this is the best salon for him as they are patient and always takes their time with him. Would definetly recommend.
I took my son for a haircut on Saturday. After we left I realized they shaved off way too much from the top of his hair. My husband called the next day to tell them and the receptionist he spoke to put him on hold. She must not have muted the phone because he heard everything the receptionist was saying. Whoever she was talking to she was laughing that we were upset, making fun of the haircut and being completely unprofessional. She hung up on him and when he tried calling back no one answered his calls. He then called from my phone and conveniently they answered. We asked to speak to the owner after being so poorly treated and laughed at. We are yet to hear from anyone. I will never go back there. My son was well behaved during his haircut, and to have an establishment laugh at us because we were unhappy is appalling. My little guy doesn t deserve that. Find somewhere else to take your littles ones. This place is very unprofessional.

We took our 14 month old for his first haircut, it was such a wonderful experience from the before and after haircut pictures to the cute certificate where they stapled his first cut...overall it was really a great experience
We've gone here many times with no issue but, unfortunately, we won't be going back. It's worth noting first that my child is 3 and loves haircuts and sat still through the process. I told the stylist what I wanted (a fade) and just clean up the top. I went to help get my other child started and looked back to see that she already shaved him super short all the way up and had done some sort of 3 tier bowl cut. The other stylist noticed and stopped her but it was too late. Another stylist tried to salvage within reason but my son definitely didn't end up with the haircut we requested. I was very nice as the first stylist apologized many times and I didn't need to make her feel worse. Then, they tried to charge me for the haircut and I requested to tip the stylist but not pay for the haircut. She went to ask the manager who felt it unnecessary to come talk to me and just told the girl to offer me 50% off and "that's it". I opted to pay as, again, the stylist tried and felt terrible and to make a scene didn't feel of any value. I'll never go back with management like that. It's ashame because I want to support local businesses. Chains like Supercuts stand by their work and guarantee it. Cowlicks offers bad haircuts @ 50% off.

One of the best kids salon I've ever been! They always are able to see my son, staff is very a accommodating & pleasant. They r so good that I wouldn't mind driving from anywhere to use their services.

My baby had his first hair cut here 6 months ago, everything perfect! The Lady was super Nice and my baby was happy with his lollipop, and she took the time to introduce herself, my baby was happy and comfortable around her. Today I went for another haircut and another Lady tried to put the cape on, however, my baby refused to use it, then she started to use the machine on his head and he started crying because he was super scared and the machine came from nowhere, he cried for 30 minutes while she was cutting his hair, and all the hair was in his clothes and body. This Lady needs to have better manners, she cant just start touching a 20 month old baby without introduce herself to the baby or talking to him, she is a stranger with scissors. Thanks to her I had a big headcache and my baby its gonna be scared next time. Please, give better training and teach some manners to your empoyees!!!!!!
We have taken our son here several times and this will be the last His hair is so uneven I would not even go back to let the gentleman who cut his hair on Saturday fix it. Our son was not crying or moving around. It s a cute place and all but not if u want a good cut.
I ll stick to a barber shop. Luckily hair grows back.

I've been taking my girls here for a few years now. It's a drive for us, but worried. Place is super cute and they do a fenomenal job with children's hair. They were even able to fix one of my girls hair after she cut it herself.

Bad experience with hairstylist (Bonnie) that told me to take my children else where because they were going to be too much work! She even suggested I go somewhere else like to an ethnic salon. I was there previously and had no problem so I didn't understand why it was now. She ended up doing my daughter's hair and complained about it to her coworker while my daughter was sitting in the chair about making more money for doing her hair!!! I just can't believe the rudeness and nerve of these two hairstylist who carried on the whole time like I was even there! Very disappointed and in disbelief! This is a kids salon if the employees don't want to work they need to go home.
The owner has not responded to me yet about this.
Arielle at the front desk was wonderful, made us feel very welcomed. And our hairdresser Angela was very patient and kind to our baby who was scared for his first haircut! They took a before and after photo for his first haircut and gave us a certificate with a lock of hair. Very pleased. We will be back.

First time here and absolutely my LAST. I would give zero stars if I could. To start I scheduled an appointment with a Colleen for my son who was recomended by another mom I met and they didn t put him with her and didn t tell me. Being my first time here of course I didn t know. When the ACTUAL Colleen asked the lady in the front why she told her to cut his hair she said shh to quiet her so I wouldn t find out. Very rude and sneaky. I obviously I caught on to what she did. So Karen did a horrible job on my son s hair. I gave a simple style to do to his hair and she didn t seem patient at all. He did move some but nothing to create the mess of a haircut. She didn t know what she was doing by what it looked but by the time she started I was unhappy. I told her how another barbershop didn t do his hair properly either and she said I see why they messed up. Definitely uncalled for when that was not the reason. I should have never been put with a stylist I didn t set an appointment with and then be lied to. Hopefully I can get his hair fixed especially since tomorrow is his first day of Pre-K and ever being in school. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will share my horrible experience.
The receptionist, Cynthia, was great. As soon as I walked in we were greated with a smile and a hello. My sons hair looks fantastic .Our experience was superb and would recommend this kids salon to other families for their kids.

I just walked in with my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. My son needed a cut and my daughter just a trim. I had been there once before and had a pleasant experience. However today'so experience was rather unpleasant. I was told very rudely that she didn't have time to cut my kids hair. She didn't even try. It was 20 minutes till 11am and her next appt was at 11am. The salon was empty when I walked in. Both my children were actually excited and cried as we left. She made no effort nor was apologetic for turning us away. She also referred to me as "that lady". I'm not quite sure what happened there today but walked out of there very distraught. They were very unprofessional and definitely unfriendly.
I never been there but I had one of their hairdressers cut my hair at her home. Her name is Bonnie and she is the worst. Please don't let her cut your child's hair

First and LAST time there. If you are not a local, not worth the drive otherwise. The stylist was not very helpful when I was explaining how I wanted my son s hair cut. Seemed annoyed my 2 year old son was crying because he was scared of the clippers. When finished my son left full of hair and was not even cleaned off by her! She moved on to another child and didn t even ask if we were happy or not. Not impressed at all. Go elsewhere for your child with more experienced hair stylists
Excellent service, friendly atmosphere! My daughter loves to play in the playarea upfront, loves to sit in the car while her hair is trimmed. She always gets complimentary braid and sparkles, and never wants to leave! The stylists are super professional and patient! They truly know how to deal with kids! Highly reccommend!!!

I really liked this place. It was super cool. My son had no problem getting hair cut. He actually was excited to sit in cars. It was nice and clean. And they have a little area for kids to play in while waiting. Great price. Nice hair cut
Not sure what exactly happened to this place, but it s not the same. The last time we took our 3 year old there we gave instructions as to how we d like his hair cut. But the stylist did what she felt best. We thought perhaps it was a miscommunication on our part so decided to give it another go a few months later. Now my 3 year old moves his head and the stylist in one swoop pretty much cuts off all the hair on the top of his head. Says that s the best it s gonna get today. Followed by of course that ll be $25. Thanks for nothing. Won t be returning.

The salon is very kid friendly, love the ambiance! My son who has a bit of sensory issues when his hair is being cut, did extremely well! The stylist was very personable! Very clean! They also stand by their services just incase you are not happy and will do everything to ensure your satisfaction!

We have been coming to cowlicka to get my soon to be 2 year olds hair cut by karen! She gave him his first cutt and evwe since then she is the only one I'll let cut my babies hair! She is so patient with him. I even let her give me a cut this shop and the staff are all amazing!!!! I give them a 10 but I can only rare a 5 here LOL keep it up ladies!!!!!!

The best place. Skilled stylists with experience dealing with children. I did not want to drive out here because it's kind of far, but the drive is definitely worth it after trying other places and having horrible experiences.

I took my daughter for her first haircut in August 2016 and she had her second one a couple of days ago. Both times we had the pleasure of the hair stylist Karen. Karen is amazing and it is obvious that she loves working with kids. The salon is clean and very kid friendly. I'm happy that I found this place and I can highly recommend it.

Have only had my sons haircut here one time, but the first experience was nice. Front desk personnel were very approachable and greeted us well. My son loves the little race cars he sits in when getting his hair cut. The stylist did a nice job and we are returning today for his second haircut. Would recommend to family and friends!

I took me 2 1/2 year old here for his 1st haircut. It was fast, easy and he didn't care at all. I asked for a mohawk and our stylist gave me just what we wanted. The certificate they give for the first hair cut is so cute too. Definitely will be back!
Not very good customer service. Called before arriving to see if they could do haircut for my 2 year old. Traffic was really bad so it took longer than expected. Called again to let them know we were almost there, they refused to do the haircut because it was 20 minutes before closing time. So I drove over an hour in traffic with my two year old for nothing.

Absolutely love Karen, she is so good with my son. Place is always clean and staff friendly. Sometimes it can get busy but that means they do a good job, since covid 19 it is not. Always make an appointment.

I just went to this store for the first time today. I was unaware you could make an appointment since most children's hair cut places do not. when I got there the lady was very rude and told me there was no appointment available for a 5 minute boys hair cut. There was no one in the store and they did not close for another 2 hours. When I explained that we were leaving on vacation the following day and that he just needed a quick trim she said nothing I can do. I even explained I did not mind waiting if he could get a hair cut in between appointments. I will never go back there.
Absolutely love this place! They do such a good job on my 1yr old twin boys hair cuts. Friendly, clean environment and good prices. Their first haircuts came with a certificate with before and after pics and a lock of hair. Very quick and good at what they do. Highly recommend!

Best hair cut experience I've had thus far with my 4 year old. The other 2 he absolutely freaked out. Coco was his stylist and she had an awesome way with kids. She was fast though and friendly. My new go to!! They cut the kids hair in a car!!
