Courtyard by Marriott Portland Lloyd Center Review

Everything was excellent - staff, service and amenities. Decor was nice, modern and pleasing. $26 mandatory valet.

Nice hotel in a great location. Staff was outstanding. Great beds and pillows. Skip the restaurant, but frequent the bar.

the rooms were clean and nice. food was good and the front desk staff was extremely helpful just finished a race and the staff was so accommodating and even helped get all items out of car and gave my kids drinks and snacks just because.

Friendly staff however, the hotel is not generous to elites staying under discounted rates. It's possibly worth considering another hotel with different loyalty for lounge/amenities and upgrades. The gym is currently being remodeled leading to a cramped workout area during peak times. The local area has a few restaurants, but most people will consider seeking other neighborhoods for memorable dining experiences

Clean rooms and nice lobby but be prepared to use the valet parking as there is only street parking if you park your own car

Really great service. The room I stayed in was recently renovated and it had a really nice upscale Portland vibe. Used the pool and it was clean and nice and warm. Would definitely stay there again.

Dinner Detective shows are performed here & they are hilarious. The show was interactive and we had a fantastic time!

Staff were very nice but the hotel is very dated and we were not told at booking that there is a $25 charge for parking very disappointed that this was not relayed. Also toilet would not flush properly and the carpet in the room was dirty. I would not stay again. For the price very disappointing and then to be charge for parking horrible experience

Great but quick stay, only 5 hours or so. I did leave my sonic care toothbrush there and they had it in lost and found! I was happy and I picked it up a few days later! Thank you!

Room was nice at a decent rate but the futon is extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel was clean and modern. The room was spacious and the map on the wall was an awesome touch. We stayed on a weekend and there was still a bit of a buzz in the hotel, even though the streets nearby were mostly quiet. I booked the room last minute and we had a snafu with the billing, but the manager handled the matter perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

The food was alright, and the staff were very friendly. I doubt I'd return though.

This conveniently located hotel in right in the middle of the heart of Portland. Surrounded by several restaurant ranging in different prices to accommodate most everyone that says there. The lobby being, nice, cozy, and welcoming. Unfortuneately due to our later then your normal check-in time (11:30PM) there wasn't much staff, but the ones that were there and present were extremely nice and friendly. Promply getting us all check in, we made our way to the room, which was exactly as it showed in the pictures that were provided. One of the things I appreciated very much is that they provide you with hair products, like shampoo, conditioner, and yes you heard me right face wash all of it made by paul mitchell. They even had a shoe shiner cloth for you to use and keep if you wanted too. They had a continental breakfast available during the hours of 5AM or 6AM to 9AM. I was not able to go and indulge myself being that I didn't give myself enough time before having to leave for work. It sounded like this one IS one of the best and the time frame that is alloted for being able to check out the continental breakfast is beyond awesome. In conclusion to our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott not only was it clean, accomodating, have friendly, welcoming staff, but what set it above all the rest was the price I paid. At last minutes notice, I was able to book a room and have it be in a prime location and all for under $100. I paid more for one that was not in a central area, couldn't even take public transportation to get to it, had to call lyft and once checked in and in my room it has a boobtube tv and not a flat screen tv like it showed in the picture that didn't even end up working and we switched rooms because of it. I would definitely reccommend this hotel to anyone that was looking for a place to stay with 5 star accomodations, yet 3 star price. You can't go wrong with that.

Very good price for a hotel room, better than even many airbnbs. Location wise it's only 7 min from downtown area but you save a hundred a night parking is very easy in downtown and cheap so totally worth living slightly further away. the $25 valet only parking was kind of a number though

By far the best hotel experience, even with the fire alarm that went off, every one had such great attitudes and the staff were helpful the whole trip. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Clean place, friendly staff, and centrally located.

The hotel is currently under renovations but the staff are friendly and accommodating, booking guests into higher floors so you can't hear the construction noise.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, exactly as I would expect from a Marriott property. Great service at the main desk too. The hotel is only a few blocks from the convention center and taking the tram or a ride-sharing pickup to anywhere else in town is simple.

My husband stayed there on military orders. He ended up getting food poisoning from a restaurant downtown. He was weak and no energy to get something to eat or drink. I called the front desk and spoke with Britney, which I m sure I sounded like a frazzled wife, but said she was sure they could get something together for him and bring it to his room! Talk about great customer service and a relieved wife!! I cannot thank them enough for their kindness!

It started out a bit rocky with no response to the outside call button and first keycard didn't work. But room was decent and had a couple of USB outlets that were helpful. Room had everything that was needed including lots of pillows. Did not use their restaurant.

Located in the Central Eastside business district of Portland, this hotel is conveniently located to the Convention center, the Moda Center -home of the Blazers - and the Lloyd Center Mall. Nice rooms, Lobby and bar area. Easy access to the Tri-met Max line and the streetcar.

Valet service was good, at $27/day with check in and check out privileges. The restaurant and bar have good food and drink, though it was very empty, and only had one server/bartender/hostess while I was there. Checking in and out was easy, and the staff were very polite and accommodating. The room itself was clean and well-kempt. There isn't any local parking around the hotel with the exception of street parking, which has to be renewed at least once per day.

Clean, well maintained. Parking is pricey, but it's not a cheap location being close to the convention center and they do offer valet. Concention center is about 5 blocks away and Portland trolley stops about 1 block away. Food in the restaurant was fine.

Do not stay here! But if you book this place anyway, keep your eye on the bank account! Once you hand them your credit card, they'll charge you whatever they want! I stayed one night and they charged me more than $500. I had to call them multiple times and drive back to the hotel just to get them to fix the problem, which was unable to be fixed because it's a credit and wouldn't clear off my bank account. Even after all the issues, they gave me nothing in return, I didn't get any sort of discount or anything! I had to cut my trip to Portland short because they had charged all my money in my account. I barely had enough to go home. Dont even consider this hotel, you can find much better, for the same price.

I only had a meeting here but it was a really nice room and the food was decent. The people helpjng us were helpful.

I understand that anytime you stay in a larger city the prices are slightly higher, but I felt as though I was staying at a cheap motel. Our room was dated and worn. The ceiling was popcorn and not even white anymore. There was a crack in the ceiling and the wall paper was coming off. There wasn't a hair drying in our room. The valet handed us our keys and had us get our own car once.

Clean room, nice people. a little awkward checking in, because we were standing there and the lady who was checking us in - didn't give us the key card to our room. then she asked me, is there anything else I can do for you? kinda snarky. and my daughter said " do we need a key? then the lady was all apologetic.
I figured she must have had a hard day.
later she called the room and compt us two breakfasts, which was nice.

The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but it actually is quite charming once you go inside. Staff was very helpful. I really recommend it.

Stayed here for a night during a 2 day trip to Portland. Room was ready within half an hour of checking in via the mobile app, even when I arrived before the check in time designated on the website. Friendly staff, room was clean and efficient. Add that it was a 5 minute walk from the MAX train, and I will certainly consider staying here again!

I recently reserved a room at a Portland, OR Marriott. I have stayed at Marriots in the past and been impressed. I did have to cancel this reservation. Since then I have received 2 or more phone calls daily from various phone numbers claiming to be representing the Marriott chain and offering me a whale of a deal on another stay, etc. I always hit "opt out" and I always block the number but another call comes in a few hours. This has been going on for 7 WEEKS!!!. I will avoid this chain in the future. I will leave as many negative reviews as I have time for until this STOPS or is explained to my satisfaction. Which will take some doing.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are nice, and it is within walking distance to the convention center. There is a restaurant onsite however there are also places to eat within walking distance. I would recommend it to others. Be aware, parking is valet only.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Non-optional valet parking is always a little annoying, but it is the norm for the area. We'll happily stay here again on our next visit to Portland.

Friendly staff, very nice new rooms. The only downside is no complimentary breakfast. I went downstairs and the hostess said the buffet was free. Came back to the table with a $16 bill. I later found out that only the pancakes and waffles were complimentary.

We stayed the weekend in Portland here had a great valet parking and stay. Was close to everything and easy to access. Can't wait to take another trip down.

Enjoyed a stay at this hotel during a conference. It was fairly convenient time get on the metro and travel to the other places which I needed to visit. I world stay here again

My room was close to the street with horrible sound proofing. I heard cars all throughout the night.

Very comfortable and homie hotel. The beds are super comfortable. one of my favorite features is the complete blackout shades on the windows. That was an unexpected surprise.

Amazing staff, clean spacious rooms and you can't beat it's convenient location near the Oregon Convention Center. Stay here every year for Rose City Comic Con and I will continue to do so.

Great hotel. My only complaint is that they only offer room service for dinner so if you want breakfast or lunch you have to go down to the restaurant to eat.

I was very impressed by this Courtyard. I stayed here as part of a convention. The staff does an amazing job of upscaling this hotel and making it feel like I should have paid twice what I did!

Customer service was wonderful, rooms were clean, people very friendly.
