So all positive reviews others made are valid. Location to sesame place, newly renovated etc.
Just important to know if you are two adults and two children I would strongly recommend getting two queens/full beds instead of a king and sofa bed. The sofa bed is honestly slightly smaller then a full. More like a single bed. Unless you get a crib for your youngest. Also one other big factor is that most bathtubs have been taken out, so limited numbers of rooms have the tubs and so reserve early if it s important to have one.
We also had our very own small balcony on the 5th floor!
Nice hotel overall. Very clean and fairly modern rooms. Pool was SMALL. Breakfast was very good: eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle maker; they had it all.
We stay here every time we come to visit relative in Yardley Pennsylvania. The staff are always friendly, accommodating and professional. The best place to stay for adults and families. It's near the famous Sesame Street Park. Their Bistro serves breakfast & dinner. They also have a full service bar. Looking forward to our next visit.
Arrived later Wednesday evening to two lovely young ladies at the front desk. After some confusion, it was realized that due to renovation on the hotel, the room I had requested(Double Queen Bed) was unavailable. The young lady was more than accommodating offering multiple solutions to our predicament, including offering to call around to area hotels to find a similar style room for us. We opted to take a different room(King with a pull out sofa) at a discounted rate, and were placed on the 4th floor. The staff was amazing and very friendly and professional, quickly responding to any questions and issues we had. We will definitely use this hotel for future visits to Sesame Place!
Room was great overall until the headboard fell off the wall looked to be rigged the night time manager immediately came upstairs to see incident and make sure no one was hurt which was appreciated even offered to place us in another room our check out was the next morning so we opted to say in room , fast forward we check out get 2
3-4 hours out and realize I forgot a pair of sneakers under the table I immediately called them to see if a housekeeper had seen or turned in my belongings the lady on the phone explains to me that they are very busy today and leave my number so that they can give me a call back which I did waited to be called back never got a return call maybe they forgot so I call back EXPLAIN TO MARY hey I called earlier just seeing if shoes was found she places me on hold comes back 5-7 minutes later saying she had to call house keeping because they left for the day but they didn t find the shoes nothing was in the room so I give the benefit of doubt waited till I got home to check my belongings because maybe i did pack them go threw suit case it s not there which prompted me to immediately call back now because you guys are basically lying Mary answers the phone again I tell her my shoes have to be in there she says ma am I just got on shift at 3 I explain to her I d appreciate if her or someone else can go look she said no continued to say they weren t there and forwarded me to voicemail of a manager , now I m extra annoyed let it go waited till later on to call when Mary was no longer on shift the manager get on I m asking him about my shoes atp he was a little rude with his response of my shoes are there and Mary try to tell me that which was not true because Mary hung up on me or Sent me to a voicemail but Tony was not very caring which was fine I said I was going to let it go cause it was a lot going on but today I call 3 weeks later today to see if shoes were sent and Tony was still very short with me places don t matter about how nice they look sometimes staff can make you not wanna stay and Mary and tony have definitely did it for me and this Marriott property
Ok rooms, good location. When we showed up they had lost our reservation, but they fixed it made it right
It's Ok but no microwave or mini fridge in the room
nice hotel, pool closed although waterparks and beaches are open
This hotel is very close to Sesame Place and caters mostly to kids, yet I found it strange that each room doesn t have its own microwave. I was told only the ADA rooms have microwave. They do have a microwave in the lobby for guests to use but since this hotel caters to kids going to Sesame Place they should have microwave in each room.
This place was terrible , I would not recommend it to anyone. The room had a terrible smell, my daughter started coughing, my wife chest started getting tight ... Then they moved us to another room that needed to be repaired..stuff falling off the wall. Towels we're dingy and the carpet needed to be cleaned and the room was not cleaned... Baggage carts were falling apart... Just a terrible experience
The front desk representatives were alert and very helpful assisting my family with all our needs during our stay.Recommended!
Stayed there when we went to sesame street the best part is the free shuttle you dont have to look for parking.
Lackluster hotel. Stained walls, rude staff and not enough help. Least comfortable hotel bed I've experienced in a very long time.
All the workers at the hotel couldn't be any nicer they really made it a pleasant stay.
The hotel pool and rooms were both really nice, but it was a little annoying that there was no prices on the bistro menus in the rooms.
It's the average hotel. They have a indoor pool. They might have a outdoor pool as well. They have a star bucks that also sells dinner and a place to buy snacks and there things you would need. But no free dreakfest buffet. That's the only thing I look forward to at hotels. Free food. But you have to play for everything.
My wife and two daughters booked a two night stay, Saturday night and Sunday night, to visit Sesame Place. Room was nice enough, two queen beds, clean, but then the issues started.
1) There was only one set of towels. When we asked for more we received... one more set.
2) The coffee maker (Keurig) was broken; we advised the front desk right away but nothing was done about it before we left.
3) We did not receive any breakfast coupons for Sunday morning even though we booked including breakfast.
4) Maid service did not arrive on Sunday until 6:30pm, by which time my infant daughter was sleeping.
5) We DID receive breakfast coupons for Monday morning... however, the dining room (as converted conference room) was closed on Monday morning. The front desk advised us that the hotel only serves breakfast on weekends, and we were free to buy breakfast at the bar ($5.00 bagels...) We went to eat at ihop.
6) When we asked to speak to someone about the situation we were told that no one was available to speak to and that no one at the hotel could arrange anything on our behalf. We left with a promise that 'Tony' (no last name given) would call us... that was 3 days ago and nothing so far.
Don't stay here!
No sheets for couch bed. No pack and play and we requested 3 times
Rooms were nice and the employees were very nice and helpful very good overall experience.
I asked for a crib three times, before arriving, upon arriving and a little after arriving. All responses were positive but at the end of the day I was told there are no more cribs. For a hotel that caters to the Sesame Place crowd, this is unacceptable. No apology or anything else offered. Hotel isn't bad overall, cafe in the lobby has awkward timings, the bartender served us a drink that wasn't cold or properly portioned. It can't be that hard to find better help in this area. Shuttle to Sesame Place is very convenient and has great drivers.
HVAC was broken, mold on ceiling, stains on carpet and walls, dirty bathroom, broken hot tub for 6+ months. Front desk no help. Had to switch hotels at 1030 pm with 2 small children.
Great location for a family trip to Philadelphia seeing the liberty Bell and getting a cheese steak at Reading terminal Market.
The hotel was clean and nice. Very close to sesame place. The food is expensive although if you book through sesame place it may be included.
I have been to many hotel and I rate them. well this hotel is not one of my top ten for many reasons, one is that I paid for 2 beds and when I got to the hotel they only gave me one bed,, the second reason is the front stuff where so non professional, both women had attitudes didnt not make you feel comfortable... the 3rd reason is the room where dirty and dusty ... now I'm not alone I have my wife and kids with me ...
Nice location close to sesame place. The shuttle was very convenient back and forth throughout the day as we needed to go back for naps. The hotel itself was sorely in need of an update. First room for wouldn't close unless we leaned on it, found a toothbrush behind the a/c vent and dried yogurt on the alarm clock. Asked to move rooms and the next one had a leaking air conditioner leaving the carpet soaked 3 feet in all directions.
Fine, had a problem with the AC in our room and they have us a new one right away. But they forgot to clear the fridge in the new room.
Affordable and great for in and out. Friendly staff. Everyone was here for Sesame Place but me (work), so be prepared to entertain lots of kids at bfast, hallways, elevators. Oh and pitter patter feat through the halls.
Great service. Very family friendly hotel. Rooms, were clean and well maintained.
Great customer service and a very clean hotel. I stay here often.
I ve honestly stayed at better Courtyard Marriott s. Please pay attention to these reviews as my family and i didn t. I think I was more excited about taking my child to sesame place so I overlooked it. This place is convenient to the park. Without any notice prior to our stay we arrived to find out the swimming pool was out of service, the gym was out of service, no complimentary breakfast, and my husband was charged full price. When we tried to reach higher management they spoke with us briefly then placed us on hold and never returned back to us. VERY DISSAPOINTED.
Room is average, great for families coming to Sesame Place, they cater to them. Hotel wifi is poor in the rooms, only works in the lobby. Much prefer Homewood Suites
Staff is better and includes great breakfast with late afternoon cocktail hour.
Very nice family hotel. It's not fancy, but it's clean and has a nice breakfast for kids. The pack n play we received for the baby was sturdy and clean. The pool was nice, and they brought out still-warm towels while we were swimming. The rooms were clean and relatively baby proof (the floor lamp fits nicely in the closet). We could log into our netflix account on the TV, so the kids had access to their shows. We were very happy with the accommodations.
No room sevice, hot tub,no hair dryer. No tissues. The lamp and tv broke.
Staff nice...room clean. No continental breakfast though. Paid for early check in n was told they weren't sure if there were any rooms available. They had to give is a different room bc our room wasn't available @ the time we arrived.
Best Marriott in the area. Very friendly staff, great food and drinks at the bistro on property. Huge tv in room. Very comfortable bed and nice layout. The shower is new age and relaxing and they use real bottle of tea tree shampoo and conditioner as well as tea tree body wash. Highly recommend for work or pleasure.
Friendly professional staff, clean rooms, perfect for those visiting Sesame Place with small kids. Free parking, free breakfast buffet, easy & convenient shuttle to park. Has bistro & starbucks in lobby, indoor pool. Definitely staying here again next time we come.
Everything was great about this place. I recommend if you are going to sesame place and if your not I recommend also
The rooms were nice and modern. Staff was quick and responsive at both check in and check out.
Nice hotel, under renovation but overall a very nice place, a little off beat but still near the highway and a mall
We just stayed for the night so we could go to sesame place then next morning. the staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is nice and clean. The pool had just been filled when we arrived which was also nice. Our room was clean and spacious. my daughter loved it too. I recommend it you are going to sesame to stay here. Pricing is affordable and they provide a shuttle as well. would stay again of we are in the area again.
I booked at room at this hotel when they were very busy, owing to a large number of people in the area experiencing power outages. Times like this are a good measure of how a service-oriented business is managed. I'd say they performed at a very high level. The check-in process was easy and the staff were conducting themselves with a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, guest confidence in cleaning procedures is very important. This property seemed spotless and there were staff visibly cleaning public and high-touch areas frequently through my stay. I also noticed a manager inspecting rooms after they were cleaned, which is a great practice and overall they really inspired confidence that thorough cleaning procedure are not only in place, but being followed.
The room itself was spotless and I was very happy with the amenities (such as the mini fridge and the internet-enabled TV so you can watch Netflix). Marriott hotels typically have very good guest internet service, and this one delivers on that front as well.
As another reviewer noted, the lighting in the rooms could use some improvement. There are hall and bathroom lights, one very bright set of lights near the bed (way too bright for reading or relaxing) and a strange desk lamp that gives off very little light. This is a very minor issue.
One thing I am fussy about is thermostat controls in a hotel room. Here they are excellent. The room cools easily and the fan stays on if you select it, which is important to me since I like white noise to sleep.
Nice updated property in Levittown, PA. I was notified of ongoing construction, but did not notice any dust or noise in my 5th floor room.
GOOD: Comfortable mattress, updated furniture, coffee machine, large smart TV. nicely setup lobby, where you can have semiprivate meetings.
NOT SO GOOD:
Hotel doesn't provide bottled water in the room, but you may ask at the reception and may be get a bottle.
Hotel is only 5 stories high , so do not expect open views.
Rooms are smaller, for instance it is uncomfortable to watch TV in bed. TV stand located on the side , see pictures.
Hotel doesn't have club room.
BOTTOM-LINE:
I found that Sheraton Bucks County is just 3 min away and have everything I needed. 15 story building with pool, gym, club room, complementary bottled water.
We decided to stay here because of how close it was to Sesame Place. We planned on going to Sesame Place one day and enjoying the pool at Courtyard by Marriott the next day. Unfortunately the pool was getting shocked and we were unable to use the pool. My daughter was very disappointed and so were we. My husband and I asked about the pool when I booked the room, when we checked in and again when we asked at 11 p.m. about paying for a later check out because we wanted to enjoy the pool. Not one person informed us that the pool would be getting maintenanced in the morning. I got my family up we rushed breakfast and got ready to enjoy the pool before we checked out. When we got to the pool my daughter did not understand why she couldn't swim. If I would have know the pool was not going to be open the day before I would not have hyped up going swimming. My daughter was devistated. She cried she had a tantrum. Something that could have been avoided if staff would have been upfront with my family. They had three opportunities to say hey by the way the pool will be out of service tomorrow due to maintenance. BUT THEY DID NOT. Leaving me to deal with a three year old child who was devistated, disappointed and could not understand why she couldn't go into the pool.
They do not take cash. My card is max. out and I had cash. I wanted to use my credit card to put a hold on the room and pay cash at the end. No hood
Very nice and clean hotel, the staff is very friendly, we were here over a weekend we wanted to go visit seasme place which is 3 minutes away, this is perfect if you come with kids they have seasme characters in the hotel lobby, and they have very nice grounds and patios in the back
Good service, and nice rooms, but breakfast is bistro style and rather expensive
Great people, Great place
Especially Pam, she always goes out of her way to make sure we have what we need.
Thanks
Staff there is very pleasant.
Bring your own snacks and beverages.
First check in is way too late 4pm..they know your there for sesame place.should know whats going on over there. Was supposed to have double bed .single pull out couch..and got put in room next to elevator and ice machine..door looked like it was broken into before..shady paint cover-up..phone charging station in couch lobby not working so while waiting to check in.dissatisfaction all around..
The fitness room was very small and they had no floor mats or sanitizer wipes. Breakfast at the Bistro was inconvenient as it was understaffed. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
A family-friendly hotel, located very close to Sesame Place. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was pretty friendly.
This Marriott is NOT for business travelers!!! This hotel doesn't care about your complaints, doesn't care about cleaning, and for damn sure doesn't care if you like it or not.
They are going to book room after room because its the closest hotel to sesame street amusement park.
Really had a decent complaint about pubic hairs in my shower (NASTY)!!!
you might think upgrade...well you and I are wrong .... I got a new room...floor wasn't vacuumed and the shower stall had some weird ass residue that kept it as slick as a slip and slide ( had to lay bath towel in bath tub to keep from sliding around).
One more bad comment and I'll be done bitching.
Most hotels, (I say most only because I have spent most of this year staying in hotels because of work) have a curfew on noise....well this one does not and I don't give a rat's ass what they say in the comments.... 12am children should be sleeping not playing bumper cars up and down the hallway with the porter trolleys or screaming bloody murder all damn night in the halls and in their rooms.
If you have unruly kids and don't mind the funky shower thing this is your 5 star hotel.
Stayed here while visiting Sesame Place. Free shuttle service to and from the park. Good location near park and other restaurants. Very convenient for coming back from the park for naps or meals.
Rooms where nice. Employees were friendly. I was disappointed that the breakfast was not complementray.
Small pool, bUT room was nice and staff was awsome. Very good place to stay for sesame place.
Food prices are high but the room was very comfortable.
Stayed here while visiting Sesame place.. this hotel is convently located with free shuttle to Sesame. Hotel room are good and spacious, staff very cooperative. Liked the fact of getting Starbucks served in the hotel.
They have a super mini fridge and they do not have a microwave and also there is no breakfast to be a Marriott I think it is not worth the stay at this hotel.
The bed was highly uncomfortable. My child's father, our daughter and I woke up multiple times throughout the night and tossed and turned. The room was clean but had a lot of stains most likely because of all the families that frequent the place. The workers were all nice though and we otherwise had no problems.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly & helpful. The rooms clean & comfortable.
