Construction noise directly outside the window started at 630am on a Saturday, the front desk didn't think there was anything wrong with that (the law is 9am). I switched rooms without a problem but still lost a much anticipated chance for a lie in.

We stayed here for a night over the weekend. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and amenities close by. We had the king room. It was clean, modern and spacious. It is close to a hospital, so there will be the occasional siren heard. Parking is valet only and was $38. There are other paid parking lots next door, so not a huge deal. All in all, it was a great spot and we would stay again.

Pool was closed and had to cross the street to the Holiday Inn, which imo is now nicer, not sure when that happened. Rooms were spacious and clean with friendly staff at desk oh and really good water pressure for shower

Location is great with very close proximity to the subway. Rooms are quite nice.

We were originally put in a room in the Southwest corner with construction going on across the street. We were hoping to sleep in as we're on vacation but it was quite annoying. The front desk let us immediately switch rooms on the same floor upon our request.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is very good, the A/C quite silent, the staff helpful and nice. I had a restful night and was able to go about my day rested and happy. It feels good to have a good hotel stay that does not break the bank considering it's a big chain. I do recommend

We were here for an employment event. Lobby is welcoming and is great for chilling. Bistro looked great but I didn't eat there. The event room was spacious and can comfortably fit 70 guest. Amazing staff. Free WiFi.

Absolutely loved our stay here. From the friendly valet upon arrival to the gracious and welcoming front desk attendant Tara, we had a great first impression. We stayed on the third floor (I usually try to get a little higher up) and didn't really hear a sound all night (aside from the usual city-related noises you'd expect in any metropolitan area). Very quiet. The room (King bed) was bigger than expected as well - given that it's a Courtyard Marriott I was expecting a little smaller, but was pleasantly surprised. Would recommend this hotel to anyone else thinking of coming downtown. The location was also perfect.

When I checked in, my whole floor reeked of cigarettes even though the hotel is non-smoking. However, the hotel was very accomodating and upgraded my room for the duration of my stay (A+ service!). My reasons for giving 3/5 is because some of the finishing just aren't there: the elevators are rickety and old, there are no robes in the rooms, ceiling tiles in the hallways are mismatched and not a good fit with the rest of the reno, etc. For $150/night this wouldn't be a problem, but for almost $400/night i expect more.

The staff was very friendly. Rooms were very nice and spacious. The cleaning could use a bit more work though (but I understand there were several huge groups staying at the hotel). The first day the wifi worked great but for the remaining 8 days of my stay I couldn't get any internet in my room, only in the lobby. That was very disappointing! The elevators were small and it seemed like every other day one was out of order for repairs. But the beds were comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit in Toronto.

I stayed here for a conference. I told the restaurant that I was celiac and they wrote that on my receipt. I ate some of my food and it turned out to be the wrong order, so I had a reaction for 2 days which really ruined my time in Toronto. I was also asked about wanting to be a member when I checked in. I said yes, then used the "member's internet" during my time as I thought it was included. It was not. If I would have known that, I would not have used that internet. I feel it was misleading.

The pool, hot tub, room, and gym were lovely. The price for downtown Toronto is great which is why I still gave 3 stars despite the mix-ups.

The valet process wasn't very clear. All the valets outside didn't acknowledge me. When I went in to ask how parking work the front desk agent explained it all and I had to approach a valet directly. Other than that it was a nice hotel with good amenities.

While it's clear that the hotel is undergoing major renovations, there are still many steps to take before it would receive a higher rating. There are little things that are frustrating that you come to expect when you stay at a Marriott - like shampoo and body lotion but due to cutbacks they are now only providing that by request...

We were here for a conference and there were more kinks than there were greatness. Location wise, it's in a great spot to easily access many of the things in Toronto's core.

My daughter and I stayed at courtyard marriot in Toronto for a week. We had room service twice, ok, but when we asked for bread and butter (no toast) we still got toast. Concierge, all of them were very helpful and very friendly as were the desk staff. Bathroom cleaning was ok, toilet bowls were not cleaned properly, otherwise ok. Lifts going up were fine but coming down there was a bit of a wait but nothing major. No breakfast room service which was disappointing. On checking out we discovered an extra $70 odd on our bill which we said we would not pay and it was removed. Overall we found it comfortable, and it was within walking distance of most things.

The hotel is nice. I was there for a professional event (as a host). A few things that I didn't like.. the entrance is confusing. The front doors say to use another entrance, which is around the block. A map would be helpful. The event team was great, but forgot to bring out drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The event area is great. Wifi was strong and fast. Rooms clean. The washroom was okay.. but the taps all have built up grunge and grim. They need to be cleaned it replaced.

Everything was nice and clean. One of the elevators might need maintenance, it stopped at the middle and was making weird noises as if it was about to break. The pool is smaller than what was shown in the picture. But so far the view was cool.

We stopped in for breakfast in the hotel restaurant, unfortunately it was incredibly underwhelming.

The wait staff kept forgetting parts of the order, it was slow to bring out, and then once they did the food wasn't any better than a microwave dinner.

The Courtyard is conveniently located on Yonge Street with access to the subway and reasonably-priced indoor and outdoor parking facilities available in the immediate vicinity.

There is a Starbucks counter located in the main lobby that will satisfy any caffeine cravings. The interior is clean and well-maintained with a comfortable ambience. The service is friendly and helpful when required.

BEWARE: CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!

BEWARE: CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!

I began this review at a 4.5, and was wavering where to go. Now, it's a 1 STAR.

I will start by saying that I did the "advanced prepayment rate". Although I was a little upset that the advertised rate only applied to Friday night (not SAT night), the extra $8.00 UPCHARGE didn't break my bank account. Although not receiving an email verification of my confirmation number, did distress me a little... I figured, new country... new rules... not gonna worry about it.

When I pulled up (around midnight) the valet was wonderful. There were several people there, but enough staff to accommodate the vehicles. Although some International Clients were having a difficult time, our process was a breeze. For an extra $6.00/ night (not an additional $35.00 which they charged me) it seemed like a great deal.

Check-in was a breeze. In our reservation we requested high floors, and a refrigerator. Both were accommodated with a nice view. Although it was the "North Tower" or "Ghetto Tower" as they referred to it, we didn't have any problems. The room was spacious, the view was great, the room was clean.

There was a street festival, the concierge guided us to a wonderful watering hole, Dundas Square was within Walking Distance, and the subway was close! Everything was going pretty well.

Now... Let's discuss why we went from a 4.5 to 1 STAR rating.

First, I'm a Platinum Marriot Rewards member with over 600,000 points, and 200+ stays. I'm aware I'm supposed to receive a confirmation. But as I said, no big deal.

Second, the $8.00 UPCHARGE on the room. It rubbed me the wrong way, but wasn't going to break the bank... didn't worry about it.

Third, I was charged for an "Extra Night" parking (That's an Additional $40CAD). I wouldn't have looked, but my ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT sure did! Things are beginning to feel fishy.

Fourth, when I logged into the Marriott website my reservation information had been changed to show me staying for only one night... although they charged me for 2 nights... and my receipt said I had stayed 2 nights... getting fishier!

Finally, the process that led me to now. On the receipt, is the General Manager's name, phone number and email address. When I called, the GM was out of town, and left instructions to speak with his Assistant. I pressed (0) to be connected, and I was connected with the front desk. The person rudely told me I didn't need to speak with management, it was an accounting issue. I said Great, please connect me. He said he would have to look into my "story" and would call me back.

I received an email a few hours later saying the reservations had been correct, and the parking fee had been removed.

REALLY? No "I'm sorry"? No "Please forgive us"? No "we apologize for the oversight, it won't happen again". NO.. I was made to feel like I was making it up...and I had offended the worker who had to take time out of his day to "look into my story".

Most Marriotts will throw 10,000 points because the soup is cold. All I get is attitude from someone who was offended when I CAUGHT THEM STEALING from me!

Therefore: YOU GAVE ME 1 STAR SERVICE, and I feel my review should reflect that!

The staff here are probably the most friendly and helpful out of many hotels we've been to. The location is good, many items are close by, but the main attractions are a good walk away. Rooms are nice, but are not great. They just seem to be trying to be more modern than they are, even though the hotel was recently renovated.

Friendly, helpful employees in all departments. Recommend staying when you are in Toronto. Location is on Yonge Street and is very central with lots of restaurants and shopping in walking distance.
The Eaton Centre is within walking distance in one direction and Yorkville in the other.
TTC subway is a stones throw away so it's handy to get around to see the sights of Toronto.

Nice location.

Nice location.
Would like to have more security, i.e. key operated side doors and elevators.
Amenities are up to date.
Slight problem with water regulation.
Fast service from front desk.

I've stayed at this hotel over the years .. racked up over 300 nights there. It is a great hotel, seems close to everything. The staff are great, and the rooms are just what a weary traveler needs!

Good, centrally location.
Small lobby.
Slow elevators.
Service staff very efficient and friendly.
Door staff very aloof.
Concierge is knowledgeable.
Front desk is efficient. Seems you get better service if one doesn't speak English.

Overall a good hotel that I would stay at again. One thing to watch if you are in the south tower avoid and of the rooms that end in 12. Those are behind the elevator and you can hear it constantly. It wasn't horrible, but if you are a light sleeper it would bother you.
