We had been displaced due to loss of home and belongings. Life was stressful and so chaotic. Then, we would walk in the doors of the Marriott and see welcoming faces. We would get a "hello" from the staff here and that little thing calmed us. During our 4 weeks here we had interactions with everyone and from beginning to end the same professional on the ball staff took care of everything with a smile. We would like to thank all of them and will highly recommend them to anyone asking for a place to stay when they visit calgary !!

The drinking glasses provided in the room were disgusting. The caulking in the shower was stained with urine. The room setup with a king bed is a bit different and seems like good use of the space, but you can't see the TV from the bed, well I guess you can watch, but the angle is too great. I can hear both neighbors TVs. The beds are beyond soft, which isn't my cup of tea and the pillows match, but to each their own. I will never stay here again and wish I could give a negative rating. Also take great caution when looking at the positive reviews, they are as fake as it gets. Don't stay here, you'd be more comfortable in your car trunk.
Solid Residence Inn. Close to the airport. Only a few restaurants nearby, so a car is needed if staying for more than a night. Attached to a Courtyard. Friendly staff.
This hotel is absolutely perfect, executive suites with full kitchen at a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was awesome & the staff are as friendly and efficient as possible. The one suggestion I have would be to add a hot tub in the pool area for those cooler days!
It took multiple calls over four hours to finally have someone pickup the phone to make my reservation. When I fnilly got someone they put me on hold for ten minutes and then transfered me to someone else. Once the reservation was made the breakfast was described as it was a to go box now with everything going on. We were to get coffee, water, fruit and a hot sandwich. Upon checkout the manager didn't offer us anything, so I asked about the breakfast. There was two boxes sitting there so he gave them to us and went on with what he was doing. It was a granola bar, yogurt, apple and juice. Clearly missing the main item of a hot sandwich on a freezing cold day.
We also thought it was quite odd that there were no robes and had to wear a towel to the lobby to get the pool card and a wet towel back down to return it after the swim. The front doors were wide open and nobody at the desk to take the card so we just left it. Not a place I would ever go back to, nor do I recommend a stay here
For a family of 5 the rooms at residence in are always a good option to fit that extra person. The free breakfast, while typically a little crowded, is always good for the kids to fill up in the morning and get a good start to the day. Just make sure you know that the breakfast hours are different on the weekdays and weekends.
All the staff here are very friendly. The free breakfast had alot of options and probably would have been better if you can get the food when its fresh. The room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed, my only complaint would be the pillows. The parking lot was a bit icy and had to walk carefully through it.
Nice and clean place. Pool was relaxing to use, never had a kitchen in a hotel room before and it's super convenient. Complimentary breakfast is pretty good!
Excellent service and rooms. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member and was cashing in on my points. The staff were nice enough to upgrade us at no charge. We had an 1100 square foot apartment for the weekend, all through my points!
Terrible. It cost $160 and I got 3 hours of sleep. Everything looked upscale, but it was poorly thought out. The glass shower wall and door leaked excessively, the bathroom sink area was awkwardly laid out, the plumbing was loud. They told us the hotel was sold out, but the hallways and parking lot were pretty empty. They put us on the airport side, so we heard every flight coming / going. The blackout curtains couldn't keep out the light from the exterior sconces. We could hear everything from the room above us. The couch looked like a second hand purchase and hard torn seams. There was a large stain on the carpet. I was awake at 3:00am when a staff person slid the receipt under the door confirming that the $160 was already charged to my credit card instead of waiting for checkout, I wanted to crumple it up and throw it at them. The couch was more comfortable than the bed, allowing me to get one last hour of sleep between 5:30-6:30am. The front desk guy was indifferent and unapologetic. I've gotten a better sleep in dives that cost $50 / night.
The conference facilities and staff were fantastic, and the business centre was functional, so I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1.
We stayed here for the first time. Great price at 105$. Super friendly staff, clean and spacious suite with a kitchen. Had food at the restaurant. Our server was Nintin and was server, chef and dishwasher at the same time. Very accommodating making us 2 split meals to our wishes. He made the best butter chicken from scratch ever. He even arranged a breakfast box at our room. Definitely go here!
Super impressed with this hotel! Just finished staying here, after over a month of renovations at my condo, & every aspect of my stay was great. The staff were all super helpful & friendly; their customer service exceeded my expectations. My room was perfect; comfortable, clean, & modern. Great price.
Another cookie-cutter Marriott Courtyard hotel with friendly staff close to the airport and very quiet even though my room looked on too the runway. The hotel is connected to a Marriott Residence. Between the two hotels on the third floor is a great workout room laundry room and an indoor pool which I never get to experience because it closes in the evenings and I'm only there late at night.
The room had a mini fridge and coffee maker, no microwave. Comfortable beds, good sized bathroom with walk-in shower, and nicely fragrant amenities to bathe with. Vans to the airport must be scheduled in advance and do not run on a regular basis.
We stayed here for a night on our way to Banff National Park. The shuttle service was quick to pick us up from the airtport (you need to call them using a phone that's available at the shuttle pickup pier; look for signs). The driver was friendly as was the person that checked us in. The room was really nice, clean and spacious and the hotel interior is modern and up to date.
The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly and was included in the rate, as was the breakfast. It's a free continental breakfast, but one of the best I've ever had. There are bagels, toast and croissants (really good, warm and soft croissants, not the stale and hardened ones you find at other hotels). There are 2 different types of sausages, scramble, butter and jam, cream cheese, and a waffle maker. You can also opt for a variety of teas, coffee and juices, tortillas, cereal, yougurt and granola, fruit, and a cheese plate. Seriously, the ability of waking up, groggy and in a bad mood, and walk 2 minutes to a full hot breakfast is undervalued in many places. The fact that you don't have to empty your pockets for a room or the breakfast itself is a major plus.
This is an airport hotel, so there isn't much to do around, but it's definitely worth the stay if you need to be close to the airport or are planning to visit Calgary.
Michael at the front desk was OUTSTANDING !!!..the level of service was exceptional..the room was beautiful and that HUGE walk in glass shower was relaxing. Already booked 3 more stays here.
Lobby was organized and clean. Room was also clean, but when the A/C was turned on, it made the room smell musty, as if it had not been used in some time.
Nice, updated hotel near the airport. Friendly service and a good continental breakfast. They also have gatherings in the lounge with food and drinks several nights a week.
Large pool, gym with new equipment, large lounge (w food and starbucks) and lots of spots to sit for work meetings by the fire. Each table has its own tv. Rooms are nice , granite counters. Modern decorations. Free infused water in lobby also.
I enjoy staying at numerous hotels around CANADA and have to say this hotels service and attention to details was beyond my expectations. Also the breakfast in the morning encompasses numerous options. The room was massive and extremely clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also I used points for my stay and I was treated no different from a paying guest. Very impressive. Note the pool and gym are large and clean as well.
Very nice rooms. This was a nice sized suite, very clean and well maintained. I would go back here. The breakfast in the am was superb as well. Did not get to check out the pool or the hum, but family members who stayed did and loved it.
We have stayed here a few times. We love the pool, it is super big for a hotel. The staff at check in were friendly and helpful upon check in. But unfortunately this time was not great. We booked a family suite and ended up on the ground floor wheel chair accessible one. When toilets flush above you it's like a waterfall, the tv did not work when we got in. A tech came spent 20 minutes and fixed it, only to have it stop working again. The shower curtain did not close properly in the accessible shower, curtain rings were too small for the rod size. Then around 11 at night, I had the misfortune of the bedding popping up off the mattress and saw what we were laying on underneath the sheets. The mattress was filthy with crumbs and unknown pieces of filth and two different kind of bugs. One was dead the other was still alive. When we approached the front desk in the morning, the on site manager said at least we were lucky they weren't bed bugs...yup that's what he said. Then he said the were probably just ground bugs since we were on the bottom floor. Yikes, not the point. So lessons learned, never stay on ground floor in this hotel and look under your sheets.
From the minute we stepped in the lobby the staff and service at this hotel was far superior to any hotel we have ever stayed. The room was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend. The shuttle service to Country Thunder was a nice added bonus!
Great service and location. Friendly staff and delicious complimentary hot breakfast. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and kitchenette comes with microwave, stove top, full size fridge and dishwasher
The suites are spacious, and quiet. An indoor pool, and well equipped fitness room will help you spend the time before your flight. Excellent value for money.
The stay was very comfortable and exceeded expectations. The staff was very amazing! They were all very hospitable, polite and took great care of us. They wished us when we entered and left everyday. They asked if everything was okay. Our family member passed away while we were there and they made us feel like their family. Especial thanks go to the breakfast crew!! They looked after us like family ensuring we had what we wanted and taking care of the minute thing possible. Even to the point of giving us a hug when we were leaving!! Now that is a place we felt very welcomed at and would stay at every time we are back in Calgary!
Check in was very quick and professional. Great room with a comfortable layout. Not a lot immediately nearby like convenience stores but there is a small 24 hour shop right in the hotel for basic needs and snacks.
Courtyard Calgary Airport @ Amazing birthday weekend Definitely impressed with the property. We were upgraded to a suite and it was really nice. It was a true suite with separate bed room/living room. The Bathroom had..."Our suite room was very large and clean. My daughter enjoyed with 3 flat screen TVs in the suite .I Booked this hotel for my daughters 5th birthday trip.Reception staff are very welcoming, friendly & helpful. A handwritten card & cake left in room, Service was impeccable and friendly. Special thanks to Anthony Chisholm(Assistant General Manager) great choice at breakfast.
The service is generally good and the rooms are large with a kitchen and living room. It's a perfect hotel for long-term comfort. It is located near the airport, which allows to rest quickly after a long trip. Downtown is $ 25 taxi. They even do the dishes!
