Absolutely amazing. Mustard based bbq sauce I believe, not tomato based. FYI. All meat comes un- sauced. You add, it's at the table. The bbq egg rolls were phenomenal . As BIG as an empty toilet paper tube. filled with bbq pork shoulder, and collards. Chocolate muirange pie. The piece was the size of your head. You will definitely not walk away hungry! 7 people (lunches) ate, 2 appetizers, 3 deserts. $120. Very affordable with take home boxes. Make sure you're close to where you are staying because you're going to need a nap!! A+++, 5 's in my book. I'm from northern Illinois. No good BBQ like this back home.

Country's BBQ what some of the best barbecue I've tasted since I've been in Columbus Georgia. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff was outstanding. Happy someone told me about this place. Don't miss your opportunity to get some good old fashion BBQ. If I could give them a hundred Stars I would and I'm not easy to please.

The food was delicious! I was in Columbus for the weekend visiting my brother and this was one of the places we ate. I was happy with everything we ordered and the prices were very reasonable, especially for the amount of food they give you. A very homey atmosphere and the service was pleasant!

Excellent BBQ platters - I had a chicken finger/rib platter that came with fries and tater salad. I was not able to finish my plate. The staff is friendly and respectful, as well as attentive. I definitely recommend this place and will visit again.

Poor costumer Service, Our server had an attitude the whole time, no pleasant greetings or anything. We sat waiting for refills several times as we saw her helping other tables. Food came out cold. I used to love coming here. I won t be back to this location.

I find that most not all BBq Joints rely on the BBq Sauce instead of seasoning the meat. Some places will through on a rub prior to cooking the meat. I am hear visiting and I have yet to find a good soul food place or BBq Joint that seasons the food. Thank you for the experience.

Going back to Cali.

This is my last time going to this particular branch because yet again they messed up my order in a big way. I ordered at 530 for a quart of baked beans. Not a meal. Beans. Not a conglomerate. Beans. Not multiple orders. Just Beans. The person on the phone told me 10 to 15 minutes I got there 18 minutes afterwards. Only to be told that is still not done and they'll call me when it's finished. Meanwhile I'm seeing people come in placing orders and getting them and leaving while I'm still sitting there. I even heard somebody ordered baked beans and they got their order before I got my order. At least 10-12 people got served while I was still sitting there. Finally after 30 mins of extra waiting I got my refund and left. Once I got back in the car it was 620!!! This is incredibly inexcusable and grossly mishandled; seems to be a trend at least with me.

Meat was a little dry but we were there a little late in the evening. Meats were tasty though. Excellent sides. Sauces where different than I had tried before but grew on me as meal went on. Worth the stop if you are in the area. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Usually very good. Service definitely can be lacking, but is often not too bad. Get the tea if you can, you won't regret it. Try a new side! Their sides are just as good as the bbq. I always bring out-of-towners here and they love It!

Man I don t want to leave a bad review of a place ...

Man I don t want to leave a bad review of a place I have loved since childhood but I m so frustrated. What happened to Jim s once amazing restaurant? Does he know what s going on anymore? I went to eat at Country s on Mercury Drive on a date with my wife. Things have really changed there (we normally go to the North, or Downtown location). I went to the hostess and asked to put my name on the list. I was told that there wasn t a list and that we would just need to wait in line to seat. Unless recently changed, this policy seems to differ from their other locations. Since most of the parties ahead of us were large and were waiting for larger tables, I asked how they would know to seat us if a small table came available and the hostess looked at me with a blank stare. She then reiterated that they only serve in order of the line. I was a little confused but since I have loved this place, I quietly took my place in line. After being seated, I told the waitress that I had recently had bariatric surgery and that my stomach was reduced to only a half a cup capacity. I asked if I could please order off the children s menu. I was told that it was for 12 and under only. I presented my medical card from the doctor and my hospital to her. This card asked the restaurant to please allow me to order a smaller portion. I thought this might add some legitimacy to my request. After checking with her manager she again told me it was against policy. She offered that I could order a large portion and just take the rest home. Disappointed at their unwillingness to help, I said ok, and ordered al a carte off the menu. She asked if I wanted to speak with the General Manager, Jason, who was on duty. I told her no. She then asked if I was sure. I told her that I had already ordered and that I didn t really want to speak with him. A few minutes later the General Manager, Jason, appeared anyway to discuss the matter further with me. It was awkward but I asked him to help me understand why they had this policy. Jason told me that they were a family restaurant and that they really didn t have a kid s menu. He told me that they serve a reduced portions (at half price) for kids. I told Jason that I could only eat a reduced portion (4 oz). I explained my condition and he told me that they would not accommodate me. He then told me the worst thing I heard all night. I asked him why. He reiterated that they were a family restaurant and then said that they did not make any money off of the kid s plates. I was shocked by his answer. Guys please understand that I have probably been here hundreds of times before my surgery. I have hosted many family events there. You have made plenty of money off of me. I sincerely hope that someone from Country s (maybe Jim) reads this and helps the staff there to understand that this is probably not what you want to tell customers (even if it s the truth). I did not want to cause any kind of scene so I quietly returned to my meal. As for the food, my wife enjoyed hers but I was too upset to enjoy mine. I understand the need to make money but they were unyielding in their policy or unwilling with their empathy to help a customer with a legitimate medical condition. They simply restated their policy. Even thought I did not want to discuss it further, they brought the manager to my table anyways (which ended up being awkward and only further frustrated me). Although I felt belittled, the Country s staff should not worry though, because we paid full price for our meal. Unfortunately for them, they have received my last dollar. Tonight they lost a life long customer. I am sad for both of us.

Had some of the worst service here. We went after rafting yesterday afternoon My friend ordered the brisket tacos. 10 mins after we ordered the waitress came and said they were out of brisket. It was 12:30 PM why are you out of brisket??? It is a Saturday. Then we waited 45 mins for our food. We had to ask if our food was coming. When it finally came her husband burger was cooked to death. Then after waiting 20+for a check here comes an employee with brisket tacos for herself. This place needs to get it together. I am not really sure how tall have been open since 1975.
