This is the BEST science museum in Ohio. It has so many floors and at the very bottom it has a whloe floor set up to look like an old west town you can walk around in. Though it smells mostly like leather. Even has a theater you can go in to watch old movies!

I would give it 5 stars except for the food. My god man, I've had crappy school food better, and the prices are through the roof. When I went to pay I had a pure leaf tea that I brought with me that I carried around for the afternoon. When I went to pay for me and my sons food the lady was CONVINCED it was from the cafeteria. I was at the point of making her hold the bottle to show her it was warm. I'm sorry you work in a Cosi cafeteria for $8.00 a hour but don't argue with me over a gd tea. We are members and have no reason to hustle a cafeteria. I'll continue to take the kids but Cosi will NEVER see another dime from me for food or drinks.

We have been members at cosi from 2013-2019 and the cost of memberships have gone from $99 for a family pass to $179. Our family loves COSI but the cost of the annual passes has increased and the value has remained the same. Cosi has the highest membership cost so this year, we will get a membership elsewhere.

We came from the Cleveland area with my 7 and 12 yr old boys. the experience was mixed at best. About 50% of the hands-on displays either didn't work or performed very poorly. Many of the displays with computer screens just displayed error messages. I paid full price for admission, so a 50% return on investment seems unacceptable to me. All that said, the staff was helpful and polite, the facility was clean and well kept, the cafeteria was... well, a cafeteria to a captive audience (eat before you go), and parking was easy and priced fairly.

Conversely, every hands-on display that required an additional fee seemed to be working juuuust fine.

Went with preschooler and baby. Little kids place is fun. Chemistry show is cool.
Met elementary school field trip in the morning. Too many kids in the little kids place. Kindergarteners were running around so Younger baby (crawling one) is hard to find a safe space to play.
Afternoon there were fewer kids. Baby had a nice time then. Hope there are more sections for crawlers.
And suggestion don t put so many LEGOs in the nursing room. They goes all over the place.

This place is terrific. It is way more than you can reasonably see in a day. Pick your spots, and enjoy. Skimming a lot is not as enjoyable. There is an outdoor space that, in the right weather, is a brilliant 'time out' with several exhibits and some space to let the kids run around.

Our 7 year old son loved his time here. We had such a great time, we are planning our next visit. There is so much to do and see you can't get to it all in one day. I would suggest buying a Membership to COSI if you are planning on making more then one trip in a years time. And, with the membership you get in for free or a reduced prices to over 300 other places across the US. It is worth the purchase.

They have to occasional Adult night. It is nice to go through the exhibits without a bunch of screaming kids running around, and having a cold beer makes it that much more enjoyable.

One of the most amazing museums in OHIO. Defiantly one you want to check out. Lots of hands on play for children. Water areas with toys for younger ones. Nice dinosaur exhibit. Parking is a little expensive. Food is pricey. I recommend parking at the State house and walking down and eating before you go in.

Very clean and well kept. Lots of great interactive areas for kids to play and learn. My 4 year old had a blast. I wouldn't want to take a younger child though, I think they'd be bored.

The experience inside was very pleasant. I hadn't been to COSI in nearly 17 years and that was when it was at it's old location. I brought my daughter here and she loved it. Between the exhibit where you can conduct science experiments to the planetarium, she enjoyed it all. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because as a man of science it was nice to such a large facility attempting to make science fun for kids. I will say that I was rather annoyed with the parking situation; you have to navigate a labyrinth of signs that don't actually point to where you have to go to park, then are forced to pay $10.00 for your troubles. Seems like a bit more effort could be put into making that a cheaper more streamlined process.

Wonderful wonderful time! We stayed from open till close and wanted to stay longer. There were a few broken parts that I wish, for the price, was fixed. It s expensive, but I felt was worth it. Riding the unicycle was a blast, my six year old loved the simulator, and the submarine was cool.

I love bringing my almost 2 year old here! Little Kid Space is the perfect play area for him. He especially loves dressing up like a fireman and " driving" the firetruck. I love that all the buttons on the play vehicles work. They turn on lights, fans, sirens, etc. COSI makes sure all toys are working properly, nothing is ever broke! I also appreciate the security of the space being completely enclosed and needing a entry ticket to exit so he can't escape.

Always a fantastic place to visit, COSI is fun and interesting for everyone not just for kids. The new Dinosaur exhibit was wonderful! Fossils, casts elaborate displays and to marvel at and informative easy for children to understand. Also the Silk Road exhibit was interesting and the items on display were genuine and intriguing

EDIT: elaboratice to elaborate

Cosi is a great experience for the kids and for me. We are a supporting member and it is so worth it. We go all of the time and the national geographic movies are included as well as the planetarium in our membership! The family membership is $275 per year and it is money well spent. My kids love going there. There is room to run around and for them to be kids! We love it!

I went there I love this park so many games I hope to play again and I recommend if you are in America I swear and beautiful veil and many children go there only costs 5 dollars and lots of games to learn and you can sleep even a day and there is also a gigantic cinema and many games of electricity

Kosai is too high priced and the taxpayers help build it it was an old school and it's it it's it's nice to go into but you're going to pay 50 bucks per person and it's just too expensive I can't even afford to go into it I went into it when I was in 4th grade next been 50 some years there I just aged myself but it's nice once you get in there but it's the price shock cuz everything in there's hi to like a hot dog or something like that their high I would rather go to the car museum or the train set Museum or no should be a cosine or not coastside or new it's right across from post sites the building right across from kosai. I can't think of the name of it right now but it's nice to go into and if you go out of town they got an opera place you can go into an opera house the old Ohio hop Opera House on State Street I think then they got the new one down there all you can do is go in and ask if you can look around and and are in nine times out of 10 they say yes so but other than that coesite I wouldn't pay to go see no that's if that $50 would feed me and put gas in my tank so no I wouldn't do it but that's up to you people that's up to that's up to what you want to spend what you wish to see it's good for the kids but that's about it.

We decided to take our kids yesterday to COSI thinking it would be a fun, summer thing to do. We hadn't been to COSI since they were in their old location and figured it would really be something now that they were in a much larger facility. What a let down it was. Starting with the ticket price, which wouldn't have been so bad had it included everything there in that one price, but no, we had to pay extra for everything. We payed extra for the Myth Busters exhibit as well as extra for the Ice Age movie (couldn't afford anything more). The Myth Busters exhibit was alright but nothing what the hype had led us to believe it would be. The Ice Age movie was one thing I did like. The layout of the place is so haphazard and there is no flow to the place. A lot of the things I remembered from the old place are no longer there and a lot of the new stuff was a big disappointment. A lot of the things were closed and I understand things being broken from time to time and needing maintenance but there was no one in sight working on anything. The prices are like we were going to an amusement park but only got to go to a grocery store parking lot carnival. There is no one around to supervise certain areas and people were letting their kids act like animals out of a cage for the first time. I figured the cafeteria would be high priced but I never thought we would be charged over $3 for a small bottle of Gatorade. Wow! For what we spent the whole day I could have taken my kids to King's Island and they would have had a better time. We were really upset and I am sorry I "spoke" up the place so much to my kids. I doubt this is something we would ever go back to unfortunately because it was always such a fun learning place to go years ago and now it's such a let down. Glitz and Glam does not always mean better. The simple place it used to be, in my opinion, was much better.

My family and I enjoy going to COSI so much that we have season passes! Most recently we visited the Mystical Creatures Exhibit and the Jim Henson s Muppets Exhibit, both are really cute. Mystical Creatures explores the history and origins of some of the most iconic super natural creatures of the world. This Exhibit has a lot of great details and cool stories to tell. I really enjoyed the Muppets Exhibit, it talked about the history of the Muppets themselves as well as who Jim Henson is. You get to dress a muppet and see many of the old favorites on display. They even show some displays of The Dark Cristal and Labyrinth . The Jim Henson display is really cute but I think they could have done more with it, you kinda just walk through and look at stuff. It would be great if they put on a puppet show or encouraged more hands on activities.

I liked the old facilities better than the new one. Things were closer and there were more things for the kids to do. We encountered several things that were either broken or those things were not being displayed that day. Very unusual as there were several schools there the day my sons school went. Spoke with people from the other schools and they felt the same way. Not impressed. Sorry.

I remember when I was younger and COSI was amazing! I'd always have the absolute best time when I went there for a school field trip. I'm twenty now and I figured that there would still be a lot of things there that would be awesome to look at; I'm the type of person who is going to college and loves to learn. I guess my enthusiasm overrode everything else; I read "Fun for all ages" on their page and I assumed incorrectly that there would be a few exhibits that were not 100% geared for a 5-10 year old. For anyone over the age of 16 COSI would be potentially disappointing (unless you are a parent).

The most advanced exhibit they had was on neurons (cells) and the second most advanced was an anatomy exhibit. For people who knew what they were looking at, everything made sense. For those who had no clue (like my boyfriend) the exhibits were just flashing light bulbs and random sound cues. Very little educational information was printed next to the exhibits - then again, what kid would sit still and read those things when there is something flashing right next to them that they can focus on?

Overall for almost $50 for two tickets it was woefully disappointing for my boyfriend and I; however I could see that a lot of the children where having a blast. The hour long wait to purchase tickets has a lot to be deserved, and the exhibits could use some overhauling - the classic ones are, I guess like the name implies, the same exact ones I saw 10 years ago.

Like the dinosaurs. The water in ocean was fun. Progression was fun to play in. Gadgets was fun to explore. The lost Egypt was cool to see Annie The Mummy. The electricity where you put your hands it give you a shock.

Love this museum and wish we had something like it in NYC. The place is so interactive that it's even fun for adults. We purchased the all day all access pass and got to try a little bit of everything. We literally spent the entire time from opening to closing time there. Near the end we didn't even want to leave. The best thing about not being in NYC is that they have so much space to make basically entire different worlds in each exhibit. there was an awesome game gallery when we went and it was so nice to go back in time to see what video games were like in the past - even some of my childhood games were there - the ones I never remembered the names but remember playing a lot! perfect time out and hope to return again to this museum!!! there were also several movies you can watch - one of my favs was the one about national parks across the USA. it was beautifully done!! only thing you should skip is the planetarium stuff - super subpar and made me so dizzy with motion sickness !! hah!

A lot of exhibits to see! We stayed there for 5 hours and didn't see everything! We had children from ages 4-14. They all found something fun to Do! There's an area especially for younger children, ages infant to upper grade school. There is also a very nice food court.

Absolutely loved visiting this museum. This has to be one of the best science museums in the country. We bought the all inclusive pass which was well worth it! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. Make sure you bring your parking ticket in for a discount.

This was a GREAT, hands on museum. My kids had a ton of fun here. Their area for little ones (birth thru 1st grade) was the best one I've ever seen! My 2 year old could've spent an entire day there. My older ones really loved the astronaut exhibit!!

Great place to take the family with lots to do for all ages. Although my 8 year old seemed to get bored quickly. Overall the recommended this place to be on your list when visiting Columbus.

The best kid's museum in the city. Many of the exhibits are interactive and educational. There is also an outdoor area, planetarium, ocean room, giant screen theater, gift shop, and cafeteria. There are also lockers. Progress is our favorite exhibit. They do have discounted family memberships based on income. Wheelchair accessible.

Purchased family membership. Went for the first time, for this year, on 2/23. We have been there multiple times in years past, never had a membership. Not a fan of crowds, however, yesterday was ridiculous. Too many people to actually enjoy the museum. Should be a cap on how many visitors can actually "visit".

Cbus native for 24 years unfortunately this is a overpriced location charging 25 dollar entry fee to see a lot of nothing just take a drive up to Cleveland to see the real museums 10 dollars cheaper for natural history museum or free for the art museum with more historical pieces in one room then the entire COSI!

I would be very careful. We tried to go to the planetarium two times and bought tickets., the show was down. We were told we would get a refund however they would not. In which all we were originally only going to do two attractions but we decided all four would be a better deal. They would not even refund me 20$ the price for that one show. They have terrible customer service. Happy Mother s Day to us.
