I came a day off season and had a really great day even it was winter and there was construction going on for the new Panda house.

A good day at the zoo. Despite the scarce space due to mamge people and the construction of the panda area, there was always a vacant bench when the need was there.

A good place with space both animals and we other primates

A place with a lot of animals, from many different countries such as Africa, Poland (south, west) and North America. Fun also with food and scent.

Are a little sorry for their poor parking.
But that's what it is, and you get what you pay for, a lot of animals that are locked in too little space and a crowd of people standing on the back of each other with photographic equipment and in an excessively high gear.

Spend a whole day here. Kids love it. Big zoo. Good food, generous portions at the grill

This zoo has a large collection of animals: elephants, bears, polar bears, panda bears, giraffes, rhinos, hippos and so much more. You get the chance to view the animals from multiple angles. Be careful, it is customary here that animals are fed with explicit parts of other animals. I witnessed how the polar bears eaten a horse's head. Not for sensitive viewers!

It might be worth a day when it is a bit cloudy / cool so the animals are out

The zoo is medium-sized, the animals neat and the cages can be seen cleaned every now and then. You can see the offspring of some animals which indicates that they have good conditions. There are many places with food, however, these are rather snacks than a decent dinner, which I missed. Medium toilets and available in many places. The ticket cost 195 dkk. We will see there, for example: a panda, elephants, giraffes, lions, various monkeys, birds is also a butterfly but weak. There are luggage containers behind the ticket offices, 10 dkk.

Nice place to spend some time with kids outdoors. It's not very big but it's ideal to move around within a few hours. They borrow you kid's carts towards move them easily.

Fine zoo, very nice for children, with playing grounds, and info and animals training, to keep them occupied. Giving animals as much as possible natural looking surrounding.

The garden and its animals have undergone major changes since my childhood in 1940 and the fifties, especially in terms of animal welfare.

Really enjoyed the visit with my family tho not a big zoo but really good place to see once.

Great place to visit and a lot to see. You should get a trip on the train. There is a lot to learn and current information that is being said that is not available anywhere.

Without doubt the best and most competent zoo in Europe

Haven't been there for 9 years but now we have bought year passes so we won't be there any more next year

The best time waster you can find while having fun, best and get there early, so you can quickly get in and see it all without there being a sea of people, you can spend a whole day in there, if you feel like it, lots of animals and see, was inside with a friend's daughter and another friend, you can relax well without stress.

The smart thing is to go under and see the other animals on the other side you have with you and forget the other side if you do not think about, also where you can touch and see goats if you have small children with you.

Beautiful place but the eternal remodeling is a bit sad when it goes on ...

I've been to a few zoos and I think this one is my favourite. The animals can mingle with other species like they might in the wild... not that the lions and tigers mingle with the antelope or zebra... We got so close to the elephants and rhino and polar bear but they were perfectly safe from us. The layout of the zoo was good too and there were plenty of spots to stop for food. It also looked like you could rent a trolley to drag your children around and there were some great spaces for kids to play.

A beautiful zoo in the middle of the city. Reminded us strongly of the Zolli in Basel. The journey by bus is therefore easy.


For us the visit was absolutely worth it

Some of their rearranging makes areas feel in decay.

In general the food is lousy but expensive.

Located in the middle of Copenhagen. Easy to find around. Nice and clean place. The kids enjoy themselves.

We were here at the culture night and everything was dark at night. No animal to see :)

Possibly my 2nd favourite zoo in Europe after that one in Vienna... This place is amazing, dannes have thought about everything, literally! Full of places for lunch, picnic, ice cream, crepes, you name it. Great service, a lot facilities, superb variety of any animals! Totally worth visiting

There is everything, food, drinks and animals that are fine. But it's just too expensive.

Always great to see the animals. Especially the savannah and prairie dogs.

Mega cozy place for the whole family and lots of animals and good shops

Lovely place with good experiences for children and adults. Easy to get to with public transport and helpful staff

Soon there will be pandas too. Great place for family entertainment.

Love the Zoo Super cozy and eventually most of the facilities are also really delicious.

The zoo is so beautiful and big! I expected the zoo to smell, but actually its so clean! Its also wheelchair accessible. You have to come early to spend the whole day because the zoo needs a lot of time. Also, try to visit it in a sunny day because the animals usually don t enjoy the cold weather so they would be setting around not doing anything (tip: don t forget to see the newly born polar bear, its so cute!)

Amazing selection of animals all look well kept. Great day out and included on our Copenhagen card.

Magnificent place ... Well-kept and clean ... Too bad The internal works are there ... The only flaw ... As in all zoos, I'm sorry for the animals that are not at liberty anyway ...

It is a great place, with plenty of space for each type of animal and excellent areas to spend a day with the family.

First time visiting a zoo with polar bears. Admission is free if holding CPH card. There are plenty of lockers which I think is a plus for visitors.

It's a really nice place to be with the family. Nice many visitors.
