Coolaroo Hotel Review

Food was good, service was ok. Bar tender had no idea of drinks......

Nothing to fault-rooms very clean and newly renovated looks like it, only rating a four because of location =)

Nice cosy venue , great food , perfect to bring kids as it has a playground/games room with PlayStation which has always gone down a treat with the kids in my family!

Location was good for proximity to our family however not ideal for visiting Melbourne city. Room was very basic, not the cleanest, mainly due to very dated carpet, tiles, curtains etc. If you're happy with basic and don't expect much, then it's fine! The breakfast packs were cute.

Great hotel easy to park and very accessible . Clean and well maintained Staff very friendly and professional.
We attended a charity event put on by the hotel for a sick baby on the 7th October 2016. The room was tastefully decorated with beautiful flowers and candles placed in the centre of the table. The food tasted great and was well cooked and presented. Entertainment was very enjoyable with a visit from Elvis and most people were up on the dance floor.
It was a very enjoyable evening with families that knew how to behave and were not rude to the staff or intoxicated.
We are looking forward to the Christmas lunch

Rooms are very clean, and very comfortable. Cleaning girls are quick and efficient. The restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Stacey, who joined me up as a Montys member for discounted counter meal one night, and found me a microwave immediately upon request the next. Top service, and I would definitely recommend to others.

The meal was very nice ..very friendly staff and my grandson loves the play area..

No frills accommodation, rooms are clean, comfortable and staff are friendly. Great for short stays.

Great room, check in was not as smooth as you would hope. But comfortable bed and good bathroom

The veggie burger was super!! I always come here for poker and was happy for a vegetarian option. Also, the beer is always ice cold and cheap

It is larger than it looks and is a bit more expensive than other local options for food.

Not a hotel. I've stay in caravan parks that are closer to a motel, hotel, apartment than this. No room iron, no room phone, bed head under construction, missing side tables ripped from walls. Room reverse cycle air conditioning doesn't function properly, swing blades broken. Not worth the money I paid. Would suggest they change pricing to $70 per night and give proper description of rooms. Very unhappy.

The girl behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. Pleasant experience.

Service was great and friendly, we enjoyed our time.

Great meal lovely staff at the moment very clean. Lady at reception lovely and very helpful.

Function room is cosy, wheelchair access, parking nearby, close to public transport.

Lunch time meals great, dinner time another story.!

Have stayed a couple of times now, and will again in the future, besides the mattress being to firm for my back everything else was excellent, very happy.

Staff- Friendly and Supportive
Room- modern & clean. Comfy large bed, awesome shower.
Food- large portions, great counter meals.

Not the best experience for a work function with fewer than 100 people

This was a very memorable day for everyone who came that day. We all had a chance to catch up with each other and exchange memories and stories and had a great time with each other. We are all family and decided to have a get together to make more great memories of each other and those loved ones that have passed it was a lovely day

room had not been serviced properly..no towels, bath mat, face washers or included breakfast boxes. toilet seat wasn't attached and toilet roll holder had fallen from wall got back from dinner and TV wouldn't work. . reception was unattended at the time and no other staff could help. No phone in room to call reception to get help. Email sent Friday night not responded to yet (Tuesday). a friend in another room had no toilet paper at all

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Horrible service staff don't greet or acknowledge customers,they were to busy talking amongst themselves weren't very helpful when we did receive their attention. Food was just as bad as the service.

Awesome stay - very impressed by the cleanliness and freshness of the room - staff were exceptional - helped my elderly mum carry her bags in - brekky box was an added bonus - bed were super comfy - VERY HIGHLY recommended accommodation !!!

Attended New Year's eve function with Horizon. Fabulous night had by all.

Good meal even though we waited very long time for desert, used plates were not cleared for nearly 1/2 hr then the desert icecream was melted by the time it was served, busy for Christmas lunch, sure, but none the less disappointing We usually get better. Perhaps it's just a one off. I hope so.

Had a good conference room for our conference on Child Abuse, Safety, who to or not to believe, as far as the system goes.

Clean place. I attended a DHHS function without incident. They had no soy milk...:(

Excellent food! Had steak and fish of the day with my family. Meals are succulent and delicious. Will come back with friends.

Good overnight stay for an early flight. Room is very spacious and beds are comfortable.

Had a 40th function there. Female Manager looking for any excuse to stop the night. She was out side looking for peoples in there cars drinking. She stop the birthday night early. Please dont have any functions there won't recommend to anyone. No refund on bar tab. Sad night. Never again. Anywhere but Coolaroo hotel.

Terrible service, chicken came out raw after a 50min wait, beer was flat highly understaffed won't be back

A fairly typical outer suburb motel. Definately nothing to write home about. Friendly staff, food edible but not something to visit for.

Flat soft drink. Parma was nice though. Roast was poor.

I am very disappointed with the service of the staff at the coolaroo hotel when I came to pick up my deposit on Monday morning i had to wait a other 30 minutes and i was late for work very dissatisfied with the staff at the coolaroo hotel

Meal was very ordinary. Won't go back to eat there again.
