A fantastic adventure into culinary joy. You will find yourself immersed in hard to find, delicious and curious items when you walk in. A must see for all food lovers.
Won a contest to attend the vegetarian cooking night! We made some neat food items, got to use new types of ingredients (black garlic ??), and got some leftovers for home too. :) The recipe was a bit confusing to follow along with but the chef usually circulated around the room to help out. Overall a nice experience, but I m not normally vegetarian so I wish the flavours were a bit stronger and the food more hardy.
So impressed - enjoyed a pre-ordered ham dinner this afternoon. The entire experience was remarkable from pre-ordering to pick up (and on time) - the meal was fantastic! The ham was perfection, and all the fixings were equally awesome. Dessert was a great finish to a beautiful meal. First time trying this and will definitely do this again - thank you for the great experience and great food!
I took a cooking class here this morning and had a great time! The class size was more than manageable and we all were kept busy preparing our assigned dish. Matthew, our instructor, was very knowledgeable and shared tips, tricks and stories throughout the class. I would do this again. After the class I browsed the shop for quite a while, so many interesting items. Also a great cookbook selection.
A reliable one stop shop for fine quality cooking ingredients! The staff were very knowledgeable and had experience using the cookbooks that I purchased. They also carried all of the required pantry items like preserved lemons. A great resource for the culinary scene!
This is my second time to Cookbook Co. The staff are extremely helpful and have either a hands on or off approach depending on the groups cooking/baking level. The recipes are tasty and vary in difficultly. It's a great place to do team building exercises.
Amazing venue and a fabulous evening!!
Kathy was sooo helpful and made it a huge pleasure to arrange a fabulous evening for about 30 people. Matthew and his crew fed us well and overall I would highly recommend Cookbook Co. The owner Gail was even there to lend and hand a greet us. Full 5 stars!!
I think is all depends on the chef, ingredients they provided are good. Menu to cook is ok. We had our Christmas party there and really is alright but not great.
If you love cooking, you owe it to yourself to check out the Cookbook Co. The customer service is awesome, and the store has lots of neat cookbooks, equipment and ingredients you might not find elsewhere. I was told that after Covid-19 clears up, they'll offer cooking classes. Also, there's a great wine store attached to it. Good stuff!
