BATHROOM: to pay well 1 uro per person and then find that disgusting? ..there is something wrong..
Not only is it the train terminal, it also has all kinds of shops, a supermarket, an excellent bookstore and much more. Ideal for shopping while you wait, you can spend a long time without getting bored. As expected, there are always many people.
Roma Termini station is one of the most popular places due to the high influx of travelers. Convenient because you can find many shops, from shopping to bars and restaurants. I also find it discreetly kept. I recommend this place to visit.
don't plan on buying tickets for the same day travel, we ended up with a sold out seats for our planned train and had to pay double for a 3 hours later one :(
platforms are only announced 10 min before the train departure time and then you run coz there a lot of platforms!
upstairs has a cafe place where you can wait, toilets need a receipt or 70 cents fare, interestingly no toilet has a seat (apparently toilets are so disgusting that people end up not sitting but standing on them and eventually breaking the toilet seats but no one bothers to replace them once they are broken!)
Not as expected to be like in the photos sill nice also very loud t1
Nice station with shops and restaurants but I don't give 5 stars because there are so many abusive homeless and pickpockets
Termini station is full of shops and bars. Unfortunately it is not a very clean place, but it is well protected. From Termini many destinations outside Rome can be reached by train. Outside there is the bus station. Very close to the station there is the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore.
You can easy get from there to other city , going leoexpress to fiumicino airport. Easy to get there on subway , train, bus etc.
Everything is closed here till 6:00 and Peale stay at night on the street. Also there are a lot of homeless people sleeping
As well as being a key point of transportation, the existence of supermarkets, pharmacies and electronics retailers is surprisingly useful. Of course, do not show the gap, pay close attention to how to hold valuables, and natural caution is necessary.
In addition, the gate was made in front of the home of the high-speed train, but when I got to italo at 7:30 am on Sunday morning, I could pass without waiting at all. It is a story to this end only, but for reference.
A modern terminal, at the height of a city like Rome
Despite the considerable influx and outflow of travelers, everything happens in order thanks to the properly prepared routes.
There are no seats in the Termini Station, the only places with seats are cafes if there is a big gap between connections. Toilets, basement not well sign, charge 1. Do have ready coins. To buy bus tickets (tour, local buses, shuttle to airports), the ticketing office is in the bus depot outside Termini building. Lot of warning about pickpockets. Safe travel.
Italy is beautiful every part of it, but if you can avoid the termini station and its surroundings better. The neighborhood is abandoned, dirty and very dark. It is scary to walk at night in that area. We have had our purse stolen at the same station and even the police stop to fix anything, edges, they do not speak Spanish (which I understand) or English, but they do not even want to try to understand you, a really disgusting treatment and a big disappointment.
Really, try to avoid it or skirt it because it hurts.
Main train station in Rome. You will find a lot of shops and caffes. It's quite safe with a lot of security. Avoid during night hours because as every Train Station, it can get dodgy. Direct connection with the underground stations.
Very good organization, very friendly bus drivers, gave the information that was required, good for that.
Ok we were in Rome for a short time, we traveled with the intention of arriving in Florence and Venice ... it was very nice but very expensive anyway we visited Milan and Lake Mayore we met other people and became friends. We promised to see each other on another trip To anywhere in the world.
The validation of the ticket is not properly explained
Train station very complete. With very good stores and restaurants. You have to be very aware of the trains, since you have to address them quickly. You have to be at the exit 10 or 15 minutes before the time, since you could miss the train.
Good morning I noticed little control in the station many people looking to attack defenseless people
Termini Station
Is the main train station in Rome, they have plenty of shopping stores and restaurants.
Very busy between 9am to 8pm.
Lacks attention to security the police you see taking on there cell phones, otherwise organized!
the number 064466867 with its address via principe amedeo 103 is not of the terms station, but of the hotel terminal!
Nice but pick pocket warning everywhere is not a joke.
There are people losing their valuables and government can do little to eliminate the pick pocket disease since even before Julius Caesar.
Please make sure you board the train corresponding to your ticket class!!!
I boarded a train to Fumicino airport with 2nd class ticket only to learn that the whole train was for 1st class passengers. The ticket checking people at the gates did not stop me with 2nd class ticket but I had to pay for a whole new ticket again inside the Train.
In this period the services are minimal. However, the Nervi station and bus shelter do not lose their charm and openness to the world
Giant train station with a lot of hustle and bustle
Terrible in covid times! There is no place to sit and wait! There are no bathrooms! I recommend arriving just in time for the train!
It has potential but at present it is not valued, and is unsatisfactory. Dirty, polluted, chaotic. Unkind staff. A shame. Appreciable the areas with the shops, really numerous.
The station is the fuori but the evening looks like Bangladesh
It is a meeting place for one's own and for strangers. It offers a very well stocked bookshop, restaurants for all tastes, cafeterias and even supermarkets. The least attractive part is the crowding of shady faces. But you can't have everything in life, can you?
It seemed to me that because of the covid some services and the courtesy of the people have improved. Few people than in the past and neat files.
Be prepared this station is massive! The walk to some platforms can take ages so don t leave it to late to head to your train
Modern and functional station. The arrivals / departures area is comfortable and well laid out. Numerous refreshment points and shops. Few controls by the police. Sometimes I had to stay the night in the station where I saw the maximum degradation !! I do not recommend the night experience.
Very dirty and unfortunately a great place to stay for many poor homeless people. Unfortunately there is a smell of urine everywhere and there is a lot of rubbish lying around. The state is apparently not doing anything here to help those in need of help caused by Corona. Sad to see and a shame for the EU.
Waiting room on the first floor.
After asking the station staff
I find a large clearing where you can
sit on a perch chair or bivouac on the ground.
On the other hand, many bars await you.
And this is the railway station of the capital of Italy.
(Traveling on 23/8/2020 h 16.00)
Considering the traffic arriving and departing from the capital, the station is well served and controlled.
Great connecting junction and allows mobility at a good price. Good collection of restaurants, money exchange and information centres.
It is not just a station but a meeting point; comfortable, clean safe.
The courtesy and kindness of all the staff as well as the knowledge and command of languages make me proud to live in Rome
Roma Love
Slow checks and trains often late, but we are in Italy and don't complain too much we are able to do worse.
The main station of Rome is in fact a beautiful shopping center with shops and restaurants.
Main station of the capital of Italy in fascist style.
Located near the center of the metropolis, it is a head station, whereby all the tracks end in a covered area that has now become a commercial center. There are many shops of famous chains in addition to the usual newspaper and tobacco. There is no lack of places to eat, such as sandwich bars, pizzerias cut or slice, hot or cold tables.
Outside there is the main square end of many bus lines and others that stop along their journey.
Going down the level there are the two subway lines: the red or A that crosses the east - west city; the blue or B that crosses the north-south city.
For those arriving by car in the side streets of the station there are lanes dedicated to bringing down passengers, as well as a few parking spaces unfortunately always occupied.
Never go to the seafood ... 0 stars for Manuel, unfriendly and unwilling unlike his colleague Igor who served us with kindness and sweetness.
Much improved compared to the past
I only give 4 stars because there are still modernization works
The station is full of shops and services unfortunately as soon as you leave the station the degradation reigns. As for the trains there is still a lot to do
The Roma Termini station is the main railway station of the city of Rome, the largest in Italy and the fifth in Europe for passenger traffic. It is the only port in the historic center of the city, in Piazza dei Cinquecento, and owes its name to the nearby baths of Diocletian.
Access to trains is via the Galleria Commerciale, a transversal pedestrian street that connects via Giolitti to via Marsala, from which all the main station services are immediately accessible.
The station is served by 3 underground lines (A, B and B1), two tram lines, a trolleybus and several urban bus lines managed by ATAC; not far away on via Giolitti stands the terminus of the Roma-Giardinetti railway. The station is also connected to the Fiumicino and Ciampino airports by various shuttle bus services. To reach Fiumicino airport, the Leonardo Express train located at the station's 24/25 track can also be used.
Renovated for the Jubilee of 2000, the station has become an important reference point for tourists and Roman citizens, above all thanks to the presence of numerous services such as the Forum Termini, a large shopping center located on the ground floor and in the basement of the station. On the mezzanine floor there is a terrace consisting of a long street of gastronomic activities. The area called "Le Terrazze" is a spectacular elevated gallery of shops that close at around 10pm.
On December 23, 2006, Termini Station was dedicated to Pope John Paul II with an official ceremony. No coincidence that in Piazza dei Cinquecento there is a statue that portrays him.
Upcoming construction, on the 3rd floor, various services for travelers and a three-story car park capable of accommodating 1377 cars and 85 motorcycles. The surface of the service tunnel will be equal to 6000 square meters at the track head, 2.3 meters high.
The management of the commercial areas of the station is entrusted to Grandi Stazioni.
The station has elevators, which therefore make it accessible to people with disabilities, and escalators that connect the various levels. Furthermore, the area dedicated to passenger traffic is equipped with a video surveillance system and loudspeakers for the announcements of arrival and departure of trains.
Ticket counter, ticket machine, waiting room,
Luggage storage with personal Luggage storage, toilet facilities, railway police station, post office, bar, restaurant and supermarket are just some of the main services of this station.
The station has been an open-air construction site for years now. In continuous change, making you lose every time you go where you are.
Dirty to capacity and full of people wandering homelessly ...
If possible to avoid !!!! dirty, with no seats to sit on, ok there is the visus but there is also if people sit !!!!! i never hope again !!!!!
Nice big but the surroundings are very very dirty and bad.
Roma Termini is bustling with action, but there are plenty of departure boards to help you get on the correct train. There are plenty of places to get a quick bite to eat within the station. This station also has a direct line to the airport. On top floor you have the long distance trains within Italy. On the bottom is your local Roma trains. While the station can be overwhelming, it s pretty easy to navigate.
It sucks. I want to talk to an operator not with the computer that recognizes nothing
Well organized and clean station, there are many shops where you can go shopping while waiting for a train, on the upper floor there is a dining area
It's a decent train station with lots of things to do if you're waiting for your next train. Beware: There are a lot of scammers here and they always prey on naive and unknowing tourists. Always be vigilant and aware. Bathrooms are also in the basement area and you have to pay to get in.
Great Train station. Plenty of eating options while you wait for your next journey.
The spectacular trains. You leave the center and arrive at the center. Ideal for travelers
The Roman landscape is wonderful. BUT this station, besides its danger, is something obscene. Aesthetically insignificant, horrendous if you compare it to Milan Central and Central Naples (not to mention the comparison with the stations of the twinned Paris, a comparison that cannot be minimally proposed), where unlike Termini, there are SEATS for not die waiting, especially with backpacks and suitcases.
Where shopping while waiting for a train to catch is always convenient and fun
