Hard to schedule an appointment..their phone system is terrible you can't get a hold of nobody..their web page sucks too...I'm not surprise...es consulado Mexicano...q falta d respect a los paisanos.
We are from out of town. My husband and I drove for over an hour to come to his appointment. The security did not let me in only him because he had the appointment and I did not. I had to wait on a bench in the sun. Two problems.
1. The facility needs to announce on the website and during the call you make for your appointment that NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO COME IN EXCEPT THE PERSON WITH THE APPOINTMENT.
2. For the people that have to wait outside the facility needs to have adequate shade and benches for all the people outside waiting.
Right now there is about 20 people outside standing and some sitting in the sun. Plus children in the sun.
IF I CAN GIVE THIS PLACE A SCORE IT WOULD BE ZERO!
Also, don't go early to your appointment because they don't let you in until 15 minutes before your appointment . Again everyone has to wait outside of the facility. The policy makers of this program need to see the needs of the Mexicans that are going for assistance.
The facility sucks! Do something for the people.

I read your message below and thank you for responding. The building code (IBC) and State Fire Marshal code both apply to your building I understand that. Depends on the building code for occupancy. Those code do not limit how many trees and benches you can have on the outside for your guest to use. Shade in the Central Valley is very needed. Bench's are needed also. You will ALWAYS have people outside of your building waiting for their loved one to complete the process. To me it seems like your making excuses. I build for a living and I work with the SFM all the time.
Be considerate for the GUEST that come to your facility and the heat the valley has. Plus, My husband had an appointment and he was NOT out in 1 -2 hours! It was a few hours.

U call to get an appt. number to get in. U get in line to get in. Then U stand in line to confirm your number. Then they put in a line to sit in chairs . Then they sit u down in the order u came in to wait for a another line to finally talk to someone. I swear its DMV and Disneyland lines combined. Be ready to spend the whole day in lines.

They improved in the system and it is much faster. Currently Mexico has 80 embassies, 67 consulates, 7 Permanent Missions to international organizations in the world and 3 Liaison Offices. Bad phone service when called to make appointment. I had to call 2 times and both time the call was horrible quality (i did manage to get appointment done after being 30 mins in the second phone call)
At the consulate, they told us no 100 bill, no checks, and so we went to get smaller cash (no big deal)
But our appointment was at 10:30 am and we did not get out of there until 2:00 pm(when they had told me to expect 2 hours from start to finish) I was so hungry by then I needed a snickers, so i told the people how long more it would take for our paperwork to be ready and they said 20 more mins! Well I did get my issue resolveD but I would not go back there ever again! I rather drive a little further to a different consulate -.-

Okay, I just did some paperwork at the mobile consulate in Bakersfield, CA. WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. And I realized that the people who work are very professional AND VERY AMAZING. What happens is that people despair very easily and quickly. But what? I wonder ... because they are doing everything possible to attend to all that the majority is asking for miracles. For example. Because they do not do the same when they are going to apply for a driver's license. Ok now the public servants NEED A GOOD OFFICE EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING. EVEN IF IT IS MOBILE. And yet they manage to solve many problems that people themselves do. Oh what to support them. And have patience please. Thank you very much to those who help us carry out the paperwork.

This place is operates horribly! Shady and terribly run! My experience has been this, I've tried calling their appt line and I press the English option only to at the end of all button pushing for English, to get a Spanish speaker representative who states "no hablo ingles". Then I called the appt line (with my mom who speaks Spanish) and get informed the line it out of order with some recording. And then the phone number works the next day. However, we were told by the person on the appointment phone line, to make an appt online. I go online, and guess what, the site isn't working and it hasn't for a couple of weeks now.
I try calling the Fresno Mexican consulate local number and the phone just rings and rings. No one picks up. Later in the week, to my surprise my mom tells me she spoke with a Mr. Calderon who reportedly told her that I can come in anytime between 2-5p to get this simple notary done. I go in, ask for him and he nods his head no, to ever talking to my mom and tells me to make an appt in Indianapolis! I believe he was confused because I was trying to show him an example of the document I needed so I was showing the example of a notary that was done with a cousin of mine who did one at the Mexican consulate in Indianapolis. I try to explain in English (because I can't speak Spanish) and he simply writes down the online appt line number. Which remember isn't working.
This place is poorly run! Where does this place spend their money? Someone should take a look at where the money goes. Staffing is terrible and customer services is poor. Phone lines work on and off and the website isn't working. Let's not forget people don't answer their local Mexican consulate phones during regular business hrs. I've been to fundraisers for the consulate and so I ask WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO!?!?!?! Reps come to community fund raisers and outreaches and claims are made on how you help and what services you provide but that's NOT been my experience! Here's a tip on saving some money, the consulate may be able to save money if you relocate the consulate to downtown Fresno rather than an expensive area in which it's currently located. Then maybe you can have money to have better phone lines and well trained staff.
BTW, when I went in there at the consulate trying to talk to Mr. Calderon, it wasn't even that busy. I realize that may have been a one time afternoon experience, but maybe about 15 people where there so why can't they just help me with a simple notary? Why the insistence of an appt? I assume they're open 8 hrs a day? What are they doing 8 hrs a day if people can't make a simple transaction as a walk in? Why insist on an appt if they happen to be not that busy? Is if that staff would rather go for a long lunch or a 2nd lunch rather than help a walk in, even if the staff has the time? That's what it seemed like to me.

Our experience with the Consulate of Mexico in Fresno California was EXCELLENT! I wish I could give 10 stars or more! The entire staff, from our arrival, the reception, the punctuality in our appointment, the kindness of all the staff was the most rewarding and kind, including the cleaning of the facilities, thank you very much for your attention! VERY GOOD WORK TO ALL!

The Mexican Consulado is worse than the DMV. You call to make an appointment and they give you a number when you get there thinking your going to get called at your appointment time and you don't. My husband got a number and the person behind who didn't have an appointment got the next number. He asked when he was going to be called and they told him appointments or walk-ins get called when they call there number. So what the whole point of calling to make an appointment of they are going to call when they get to your number .
I spoke for an appointment and in less than a week they gave it to me

They can't explain things the right way and I can't get clarity. They advised me to go to Mexico when this is the Consulate. It is hard to get anything done here. I am frustrated. If I could give negative stars I would. They don't answer and it always goes to an automated system. When you press 0 to be connected like it tells you to, you get the busy beeping. When you do manage to get the ringing, it rings for a while then automatically hangs up on you. It's impossible to get a hold of someone.

The workers of this place are very rude. The service is horrible. They do not give you the information you have to bring to apply for a tuition. You ask them a question and they come up with "I do not know how to Dispel."
