For the perfect combination of historical architec...

For the perfect combination of historical architecture and modern design, the Conservatorium Hotel is an ideal spot. Stay in the gorgeous Duplex Guest Room that spans over two floors and exudes an intimate atmosphere. With a rainfall shower, plush bedding, and a comfortable working space, you ve got everything you need. The hotel has two dining options from Asian-inspired eatery Taiko to contemporary dining at Brasserie & Lounge. Wellness options are also abundant, from relaxing massages to a large gym with cutting-edge technology.

Location: The hotel is close to the main attractions and a multitude of hotspots. The shopping district, Van Gogh Museum, and the Vondelpark are all close to the property.

Top!

We stayed one night at the Conservatorium, our last night in Europe before flying home to the US at the end of our honeymoon. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service was superb. I made a Donner reservation with the concierge who sent us to a fantastic little local place nearby. When I mentioned it was our honeymoon, the hotel sent a nice note and gifts to our room later that day! I went to the spa for a beautiful manicure, and we had a lovely breakfast the next morning. My only complaint was that the room was definitely not sound proof, and it sounded like the people in the room above us were doing aerobics all night. The loud thumping was almost unbearable, and my husband and I were kept up much of the night because of it. With the floors being wood instead of carpet, the sound seemed amplified and we could hear every step above us. That said, we had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed our time there!

Unfortunately my experience wasn't great. The staff were friendly
but by far the most frustrating experience has been the fact they the Hotel put a 1500 euro security deposit hold on my credit card and despite the fact we left the room in excellent condition and did't touch the mini bar, it still hasn't been returned after nearly three weeks. I have called four times and been promised someone would call me and email me back regarding the security deposit, but no one has.
I personally won't be staying here again

We had a wonderful stay at The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam! The staff were lovely from the moment we arrived and made sure we were happy with our accomodation. Our suite was perfect but we ended up spending a lot of time in the Brassierie and Lounge to enjoy the incredible glass atrium. Eating breakfast every morning in this space was a real treat and the food was delicious. We also tried their restaurant Taiko for dinner one evening and were not disappointed! The food is divine and the sommelier is super knowledgeable and chose the perfect drinks to suit each course. The restaurant is worth a visit itself if you are in the area. We would happily stay here again next time we visit Amsterdam.

Amazing open space for dining, front desk, and other hotel services. Four stories high above ate glass panels that create a greenhouse appearance. Staff are more than willing to assist, very humble and kind folks. You must take a look at the restrooms off of this space, very unique!

It is a great decision to end up spending my whole day here to rejuvenate, so relaxing quiet peace and full of harmony, the facilities are superb and clean and lots of choices and the pool are big and cozy, its a fancy facilities so youll expect quite expensive than normal spa but the experience is perfect, u can have lunch as well and my most favorite part is MASSAGE (that i always die to go for;)) the staff are helpful and friendly and location is in great area of museumplein but if you have to booked weekdays or weekend ask them first if you can use the facility as they always busy..

Absolutely stunning hotel. The lounge and brasserie area is as beautiful an interior as I have been in. It's pricey of course but the service and the quality of the food and the interiors is worth a visit.

Very cool renovated building. Mainly attended by business travellers that go for the upscale hotel, with matching prices. Staff is friendly, dressed in an old fashioned way but can make you wait for a while.

Impressive hotel in most aspects. A remarkable exterior architecture in the museum district which contributes to the charm of the place. A spectacular lobby all in bay windows with a remarkable staging of volumes signed by Piero Lissoni.
An excellent breakfast, several quality restaurants with a mention for the Asian one.
A superb place that deserves a detour whether it is to stay or eat.

From the moment we came to the door it's been wow. Stopping on a long weekend break. The room is out of this world. The staff are very friendly. Nothing is too much. Everything has been wonderful

Truly luxury experience!

come out of the massage and find out that your locker was robbed, spend an hour n SPA reception cinrying and talking to the head of the security (being all the time in a bathrobe on a naked body) that I closed the locker, although he already knew that several lockers had been hacked and from his own words asked or for their insurance company.

There is no better place to stay in Amsterdam than at The Conservatorium Hotel. The hotel just oozes with style and combines historical and contemporary elements seamlessly. We stayed in one of their modern Grand Junior Suites which had amazing double story windows looking to a museum opposite. The location is perfect for exploring the Museum Quarter and there s a tram stop right in front for getting around the rest of the city. Topped off with impeccable service, we really couldn t fault this place!

This hotel is among the best when it comes to customer experience and design. The hotel itself was originally a bank, built in 1901. It then became a music school and was rennovated (by architect Piero Lissoni) just last year to become this amazing hotel. The courtyard is closed off by glass so there is an interesting indoor-outdoor connection. Every design detail was thoughtfully planned, from the room numbers carved into the granite thresholds to the contrast of modern and old architecture.

We were greeted by a "Host" who served us apple-mango juice upon check-in. Our room came stocked with fruit, 9 chocolate truffles, and hand wash and lotion from L'Occitane. The room features radiant heat in the bathroom and state of the art entertainment systems.

The Brasserie is a restaurant that attracts hotel guests and locals alike. We enjoyed the halibut and sole entrees and were extremely pleased. The hotel breakfast, which is complimentary with the room, is delicious, with a variety of traditional European-style breakfast meats, cheeses, and fruit, and made-to-order hot breakfast items.

The hotel has an enormous gym in the basement, spa with an extensive menu of types of massages offered, and a yoga room and a meditation room.

With the weather below freezing and us getting sick, we opted to stay in for most of the day and enjoy the delightful hotel experience. Loved this place and will definitely come back!

Wow! We were walking around on an early windy and cold Sunday morning and looking for a place to have breakfast and wait till museums open....somebody suggested to check out this beautiful hotel that used to the music school. Wow! What a beauty of a hotel. Classy mix of classic and very modern. Amazing service and breakfast was great. Obviously expensive but worth the experience. We will stay here asap for sure! Great impression.

The place is gorgeous, spacious and good service. However, 6 for a black coffee and 7 for a half glass of fruit juice? It is overpriced, I understand that is a high class hotel but this is just too much and not worth spending.
