Beemster cheese is delicious. And cheap in the associated store. Only the staff leaves much to be desired. We were already warned against rude staff before we went there for the first time. Then regularly see staff doing customer unfriendly to other customers. When we recently asked if they also cut cheese into slices, we were told in a nasty way that they do not. A simple "no sorry" would have been enough. We don't go there anymore. Nowadays I also associate Beemster cheese in the supermarket with the staff in the shop.
Mass production, a huge cheese factory, but good cheese in the shop. Would have liked a wider assortment of cheeses. You would not expect it, but there are small farmers in the area with a wider range. Good service and friendly staff.
Beemster cheese factory. Unfortunately, there were "no guided tours" at the time of our visit, but everyone was very friendly and chatted with us a bit about how the work goes. In the cheese shop, we then bought properly. Great advice, very nice people, the trip tips for the area and suggestions for inexpensive lunch have been (Westbeemster). Honest, tasty cheese made from cow's milk from Beemster and the surrounding area. We recommend the Beemster Oranje and the old cheese. Also look at the special cheeses such as nettle, pesto and wasabi.

Beemster Cheese bought at the CONO factory shop. What a delicious cheese. we bought the old (2 kilos) and the younger (1 kilo). In a few weeks we will go to North Holland again, and we will stock up on ourselves and our circle of friends. Cool box with you. Soooo very tasty and yet not that expensive. I paid about 8.50 per kilo. You can also easily have the pieces sealed for 0.50 cents per sealing. The cheese will last even longer!

Nice factory shop where (in my opinion) the best cheese in the country is sold. The Beemster XO (3 years old), among others, is sold exclusively at the factory shop and is certainly worthwhile.
This is the manufacture for some of the best cheese in Holland. They have a factory shop around back and sell the cheese at a good price.
