Guardian Condominium Care has been working as a contractor for Connelly & Company for years. In our opinion, the best property management firm in town. Property managers are well aware of the properties they manage, make sound decisions, are professional, and communicate well with their contractors.

I should give zero star! Rude and no service at all! The people who manage the coach way garden never pick up the phone, and rarely return for the message. Talked to reception to see weather I can leave the message there, she said she can't help me... and hung up the phone. Even the one of the owner is very rude too, so I can see where that come from. Why our condominium use this company to manage the condo, we pay $340 plus each month!

I've worked with Connelly for around 4 years now, as they manage the townhouse complex that I own property in. I've found our Property Manager to be very easy to work with, caring and professional. He is reliable and always here when we need him.

The most rude business person I have talked to in years. And GROSSLY over charging for a rush on documents that already exist and should be available for immediate download. Ripping off the people they serve. Not the way to build a business. Horrendous.

Terrible service. Dont advise making these guys your managament company. Some kids were getting stung by a beehive so my tenants called me complaining to do something, so I obviously call the management company. Their reply is sorry everyones gone home early today try back tomorrow. Im like arent you supposed to be working til at least 430pm? Thats what i pay your company for. To which she says sorry but everyones taken an early day and 24hr services cant help you for that issue.

Very unprofessional. Rude. Hopefully other owners dont make my mistake.

This company is a complete joke. All they are good for is taking my money every month.
If I need to call them in regards to anything. It is a very slow and painful process. I own my town home and the contractors that Connelly and Company hire to do the work around here in every one of my experiences they have been inexperienced. I have had 2 or 3 people sent out for the same issues because they don't hire the right contractors. This is all billed back to us and our condo fees continue to go up. I pay almost 370 per month with nothing included. $4400.00 a year. I don't think any condo company is worth the fees that they charge but especially one that has there reputation. They certainly don't try to save us money, since the have come on board with are condo fees just keep going up.
It really does seem corrupt. I think they get a cut out of every contractor they hire. No proof of that but it seems fishy.

Lawyers had a lot of conflicts of interest, appears they groundless caveat and false claim a lot of their clients. Corruption is real especially when it comes to this company. Not certain what happened between the condo board that hired this company but they had a major fall out and they unfortunately dragged me into it telling me to hire a lawyer for reasons I do not know about same scenario as the University of Calgary when I was a union member they wanted me to hire a lawyer and sue the province and university to get my job back. Lawyers hiring of lawyers for no reason must have something to do with lawyers and how unconstiutionally unrepresented I was when they stole a business that they actually killed for. Canada is barbaric and what can anyone say about this .... bad business is what it is .... Bully Bully RICO International. Covert Narcissists. Danger to the Public at large. Recommend to stay away from these Narcissists. These guys should be in jail. Public Safety Issues are very serious. Did He mess you up too? Did they do the "He wants you to hire a lawyer thing yet?" These guys are thieves. Litigtion files are with so many lawyers in Calgary that you can not find one to help remove this illegal document. They have literally ruined my life along with Magnum York West Property management. Best to take the matter to a real judge immediately make sure they don't give you a 'fake judge' like they did me, Laycock and Prowse check the law society registy. They stole $5,282.92 out of my bank account I have 55 page police report. These guys are a big waste of time. Have you gone to their office they are under secure lock and key and easy access. Canada we have a problem here. a fake legal system to force sales of property. Groundless Caveat & Fake Plaintiff & Fake Claim in 2010 believe they are part of some Ponzi Scheme where they are stealing properties. Mark Rathwell of Macleod Law is the lawyer. York West Property Management involved as well. Documents are with Crown Prosecutors. Fraudulent loans. I think they know and are attempting to replicate Ponzi King Bernard Madoff whose lawyer asked for 7 to 10 years but the judge gave him 150 years in prison. Canadian Land Registry Breach. These people can not be trusted. Mediators and oil and gas workers refer to him as a well known con man. I have been continually harassed to hire lawyers for years now. Criminally harassed and fraudulent loans, identity theft regarding my property, they really stole the title and took wrongful possession of the property. Petititoning government of Canada for a National Housing Authority to replace property managers and condo boards for residential dwellings in Canada. No one needs to live like this. These guys are property thieves and they do a lot of damage. Refer you to the Land titles Act...this one particularly. 5. Will not carry on

property talk blog. It is a simple process to remove a caveat. Upon application to the court to remove it the person that registered the caveat has two weeks to respond with a Notice of Commencement. Lodging a wrongful caveat with no grounds could ruin a legal practice and LegalCorporate/Government Governance should deny them from registering land titles documents for a lifetime.

I am a contractor that has been dealing with Connelly's different property managers on a weekly basis for the last few years (Darynn, Marty, Bill, Brent, Mike). I am continually impressed by their communication, commitment and respect they have for both their contractors and the residents/owners they manage. It is a pleasure to work with these guys and refreshing to know there are still people on this industry that take great pride and care in what they do. Looking forward to more of this in the future. Highly recommended.

I m an owner at a building they manage. We have gone through 3 different managers in the past 4 years. Brent and Darryn previously. Brent by far was the best. The current one Greg Birell, if you send him a concern that regards him actually doing any work, he ignores it.midst of these concerns deserve a response. Even minor complaints deserve some sort of acknowledgment that he received it and will work on it. If you repeat sending him emails he gets angry and even stated on the phone please stop emailing me . He will then copy and paste a general response and send the same one to everyone. Condo board directs owners and tenants to email him. There have been multiple security issues in the building, one involving the cops on two separate occasions. One last week and the swat team a few months ago. Multiple people have emailed to inquire and get no response. The swat team arrest at this building, warranted an email or letter that people living in this building are safe. Reporting a drunk driver who is parked in visitor past 1am, throwing garbage in the parking lots and being loud. Deserves a response and follow up ie) these tenants should have been issues a parking violation and noise complaint. Don t part of everyone condo fees pay for this gentleman s wages? With condo fees going up, i expect better. As per the website values and what they strive for, it really does not line up with what is being provided at Gallant ridge complex. Our building deserves better.A few owners and tenants also suspect a lot of the concerns and emails we have sent Greg, get deleted and not sent to Colleen on condo board, because she was unaware that a lot of these emails have taken place.

Rude. Condescending. Over priced. Harassment. Bad decisions. Cater only to board members. Treat you like your an animal with no feelings. Hard to balance a life as a single mom, a ful time job and come home to ignorant comments from a property manager who couldn t care less if you live or die.

This company is only good at taking people s money and not answering there phones. Reception is completely rude and hardly answers the phone. The property manager of my building never responds to emails or take weeks to get back. When a response is given it s condescending and completely unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone.

As stated in comment below, most of the 5 star ratings are not made by fellow owners but contractors or what looks to be family friends. not genuine reviews

I have been working for Connelly and Company Property Management for over 15 years and they are the best client(s) I have ever had. The property managers are easy to deal with and they pay contractor invoices promptly and without issue. Their receptionist Joy is always polite and helpful. 5 stars from me.

ZERO STARS!! These people have no people skills what so ever!!
They hope to put a caveat on your home and hope you default on your payments. The use terms that should not be used unless you are 60+ days behind on your account. When you pay your bills every month and have one single time that someone frauds your acct they should not be saying they will hold the caveat on your property. That is bull crap!! If you knew what you were doing you would use that term on people that have overdue accts not someone that is paid in advance every month. What a joke! Daddy should have handed the business down to a girl, his son is making a mockery of all his hard work!

I would leave zero stars if possible. I was living in a property on Elbow Dr, managed by this company. The expeywas horrific. They asked us to store nothing on the balcony, although most of our neighborhood had their own gardens. Once, while cleaning the apartment we took the carpets out for half an hour and the caretaker reported us to the management giving us a warning. They made false claims of us thudding on the floors at 2 am, during the period when the the apartment was empty and we were actually in BC. However, inspite of trying to make them understand that we were not home, they blamed us of lying and threatened us to leave the place. From time to time, the neighbour downstairs would thud on his roof making very loud sounds to which kids got very scared. He would complain every time we would even walk after 9 pm. We tried to let the management know but of non use. For some mysterious reason, they tried to hide emails they would send to landlord and would tell us that they are getting multiple complains from our apartment. Our neighbor adjacent to us expressed extremely violent behaviour , banging doors from time to time, yelling at kids and abusing everyone around. There was no action taken against him, inspite of complaining several times ( to my knowledge ). We had oil drips from our car. They threatened to kick us out, involving lawyers if we don't clean it. We walked around and found that a lot of the parking spots also had oil spills in much greater quantity than us, if not less. Nevertheless, trying to be civil, we tried to clean it to the best of our abilities. The caretaker denied to help us with a water supply.we carried huge buckets of water from the second floor and everyone refused to help. After noticing that the parking lot is all wet, they pushed the landlord by threatening him to take to court and forced him to kick us out in a month. People renting this apartment were me , two children and a mother of two. Although we tried our best to be as nice as possible, this was the behaviour we got. Don't waste your money on this property management. I have never had as horrible an experience as this before and I wish the same for everyone. Don't indulge with this management. They will make your life miserable.

These people provide terrible customer service (they do not return voice mail messages in a timely manner, they do not show appreciation for your time). You will call them repeatedly to get through to the one person that can help you and then they will be "doing you a favour" to do their job. There is only one person who takes care of proximity access cards for the building where I live. I would not recommend doing business with Connelly and Company Management Ltd. If you are a customer I would recommend shopping around for better service elsewhere at your next renewal date (or sooner).

We had Connelly & Company Management looking after our building for a year and the service they provided was absolutely dismal. I would have to send 2-3 emails and leave several messages before they would eventually get back to me, often up to 3 weeks later.

Please don't make the same mistake I did and choose this horrendously run company to look after your building, it will be a huge mistake!

They must be the worst management company to deal with. They never answer their phones and you end up leaving voice mail after voice mail with no returned call. Some months they try to get strict with their policies and some months they could care less. Always up and down with them. If your looking for a management company that actually cares, trust me it is not this one. All I can say is beware you've been warned!

I have found this company to be very responsive and responsible. I have lived in the Quintera townhouses for seven years and have never had an issue. Exelair who does the heating or all the buildings does an excellent job every time I have needed help, which has not been very often. Overall very pleased

Fantastic company. I have completed painting and drywall repair projects at many of their properties over the years. Their management team is very aware of the needs of the owners at the properties they manage and they get things taken care of! I have always been treated with respect and fairness by anyone on their team I have interacted with which speaks to a great company culture.

Have had Connelly & Co managing our condo for 3 years. One key element to a smooth working relation ship is timely communication. We have had 4 key personal contacts over the 3 years 4 months.

Taylor, Chris and currently Danna Elbast all have been excellent in their timely contact and follow up with the management issues for this building.

Connelly has excellent service contacts and I am glad to have had their resources to assist in the maintenance of our investment. As well as expertise in property management, Connelly is cost effective in attaining the best quality resources /resolution for the issues at hand.

Glad to see our self managed board reached out to Connelly & Co.

Really horrible customer services, call Brent many times, no one return the call. And also, when you move in, the board charges you $100.00 moving in Fee regardless what, even though you only have 2 luggages, it is rip off!!! If I know this company provide such poor services, I can not buy this condo for sure, stay away from them! Highly Recommend to public: once you buy a condo, please review the condo company services as well, as I never see such bad service company

Very difficult company to communicate with. Several e-mails and phone messages left unanswered. Property manager is a very elusive person to get in touch if you have a problem. Not a professional attitude for the people they suppose to serve as those who pays for their assistance. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience. Not recommended. If I could I would have given a negative rating with multiple minuses.!!! With so many bad reviews I wonder how are they in business anymore. No wonder they are not BBB accredited.

P.S. After my previous review, written of a great frustration, I must to make a drastic correction. My complain was promptly addressed in spite of the Covid 19 circumstances. I am very grateful to Bill, my property manager, for the diligence with which he helped me with my concerns.

I agree with the above reviews. At least once a month I have the intemperate knocking of the manager on my door. From the day I moved in I have felt personally victimized and am now uncomfortable in my own home. I waited almost a year to get a visitor parking pass. Manager totally disrespects my time. Garbage is constantly blowing over from other balconies to mine and around our building AND there is a very loud and angry neighbour that often screams at strangers from his window. Despite these and many MANY other problems he has the time to figure out ways to harass me when he should be focusing on making this place a well maintained, clean, quiet and friendly environment. I don't rent and living here has become a nightmare. The impact this has had on my day to day life is sick. I am forced to warn all my guests about him and it is embarrassing and I am ashamed I live here.

When I requested to talk to a supervisor, the person on the other side of the line just transferred me to a phone that rang constantly without any answer or voice mail.

Connelly lack communication and professionalism for common business practices. Their team has not provided help for many issues leaving us frustrated.

We have been waiting months for many different problems to be dealt with and we all still wait without and update or any information provided from the company.
They do not answer phone calls, return messages, and it takes days to get an email response.

We got a new manager from Connelly, however at a AGM meeting he had an emotional outburst. He failed to remove his feelings at the door, and was rude and extremely unprofessional.

This is the worst company in Calgary! The people are so rude. When problems occur they will not do a thing about it. Marty Connelly is extremely rude and no one should have to deal with him. They need to be reviewed by the government because I don't think they are a legitimate company. I personally think they just take people's money. It's horrible!

Seem more interested in making a profit then managing their properties. Rude, inconsiderate and dismissive. They hired a company to pressure wash our exteriors. The company they hired used such high pressure the paint came off my garage and they blew me off. During snow events they fail to have the streets and sidewalks cleaned in an appropriate time frame . If you fall as a result, they take no responsibility. All in all I would not recommend buying a property thay they manage. Absolutely terrible.

I wouldn't even give one star I could. The overall rating describes their quality anyways. I own an Townhouse which is under their management. The work they do is way below than they charge. And upon that their unnecessary bothering to the homeowners. I do even feel like we own the house. I am regetting on buying home here. This is my first home and it made me so depressing. Never buy any home which is under there management.i wish i knew it beforenand could check it beforehand.

The attitude of reception (her name is Joy) this company is too rude, not well educated, do not understand why this company hire her as reception. Totally agree with other reviews how bad the customer services. Hopefully the owner of company can see this review, please send her to school to learn how to communicate with customers and how to respect to customers. If not, in long term, your company will be bankrupt. Good Luck!!

I wrote to Connelly Management to file a noise complaint regarding excessive barking from dogs in the building, and I was simply told that the building is pet-friendly - no further assistance or advice was offered. I don't know how many people work there, but the person who replied to my message (Darynn Morey) was beyond useless. The barking and howling began before 7:00 this morning and continues as I write this in the afternoon. Do yourself a favour by avoiding buildings that are managed by this company, because they obviously refuse to help.

Update: Two days later, the barking continues, and I have yet to receive a reply to my most recent email, in which I asked who I should contact to resolve the problem. Because of Darynn Morey's failure to cooperate, I chose to file a noise complaint with the City of Calgary (yes, barking and howling is specifically mentioned in the city bylaw). I hope to see a resolution soon, but I've decided to move out ASAP anyway. It absolutely baffles me that this individual is still employed in such a competitive labour market. Shop around, Connelly & Co... You could certainly do much better!

After having Connelly manage our condo, I would not recommend them to anyone. They failed to communicate with condo owners and our condo board with months between important communication. They also failed to properly manage contracts resulting in overspending which has directly affected our condo board, budget and fees. When approached by frustrated owners they were very unprofessional, childish and rude.

EDIT: I have read through all the reviews and most of the 5 Star reviews have been written by subcontracted companies by Connelly and Company. It seems fishy that a good chunk of the good reviews come from people/companies that work for Connelly.

Great service with quick response for the owners. We had our garage door mechanism break and Bill responded quickly and was excellent about making sure the door company had us as a priority. We received excellent care from the door company, and, Bill made sure to follow up with us that all was handled. We have not had any reason for concern with the management company in our 18 months in our current home.

I was amazed at the quick and efficient service that I received from Connelly & Company! I certainly did not expect it because Condo Management Companies are usually very slow to respond and not forthcoming with documents! My sincere appreciation to Danna Elbast who super surprised me with the documents the same day!! I truly wish that all Calgary's Condos were managed by Connelly & Company! Connelly & Company Management are the best propert...

Connelly & Company Management are the best property managers for emergency service requests. Their on call personnel and vast network of quality suppliers ensure that residents of their managed properties are safe and secure, any time of day.

Part of my job requires me to travel to the field for work, leaving my wife and young children at home by themselves for days at a time. This past winter, the week before Christmas to be precise, I was away and our water heater failed due to corrosion at the base of it.

You can imagine the concerns our family had, a 2 year old and one month old, no hot water, quickly approaching Christmas time. One call to Connelly Management and they had one of their trusted contractors over with a new hot water heater installed and the old one taken away, all within a day.

I can t begin to thank you all enough for the effective emergency response, and your dedication to ensuring my family s comfort and safety.

The woman that answers the phone when you call is without a doubt one of the rudest, most apathetic and least helpful people I have ever encountered. I'm shocked that they would let someone with so few people skills be the first point of contact for clients. Once you get past her the experience is only slightly improved, but at least the other employees are more polite.
