This Synagogue has loud parties for hours. It sounds more like a Nightclub/Bar than a house of worship. It is 10PM right now on Sunday and they have had music blasting since 8pm. I've even called the @scottsdalepd last year when this was happening multiple times and there was basically dead air with it. If I played music at this rate and volume, The police would be banging on my door fining me.
The spirit of Scottsdale lives more in this synagogue than the spirit of Judaism. Money, money, money. If you ve got it, give it to them. They will be your friend and you shall be blessed. These fools even SELL prayers. Not kidding. They auction them off. No dinero? No prayer for you!
I have to say that this synagogue has a perfect balance of religious and social events. The most friendly synagogue in the city! They are always welcoming everyone to come by to learn, celebrate holidays, make new friends, and/or explore the Jewish faith! I really enjoy going to events and I always feel welcomed even when I am running very late. This is my favorite Synagogue by far! I definitely recommend them!
Small Orthodox congregation. The Rabbi was nice and helpful when I was there as a visitor. There are several former Israelis in the congregation. I was not there on a Shabbat or holiday.
