Top coffee at sensible prices unlike the overpriced boardwalk beach cafe
fantastic community area serving a wonderful selection of the most tasty home cooking. Anyone needing advice and support should pop in and talk to someone.
Great place for awe one wish there was more places like this in edinburgh.
The food in the cafe is great, with lovely staff too
Nice venue in a not so nice area. You have to walk through an arcade of shops which is not nice. Full of rubbish and youngsters hanging around. Lovely place nice staff. Shame about the area.
Provides a great service to the local community adults and kids
Best place for all Arts....great food, great family atmosphere, nice garden for kids to explore and experience freedom....and staff that go the extra mile for anyone. Absolutely love this joint
Smart meeting every Monday 1pm till 2.30pm, good place to start if your interested in recovery from the madness.
This is such a friendly and accepting place, friendly staff and volunteers, true hub of a wide area for events, groups, clubs. Great affordable food, beautiful outdoor area for the kids. Would recommend to anyone
Great facility and lively food in the cafe. Well worth getting to know this centre
NEA'S Community Cafe serves fresh, affordable breakfast and lunch Monday-Friday (10-2.30pm). The cafe also has hot and cold drinks, great coffee and sweet treats. It's a bright, airy cafe with indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids so you can relax with a coffee and know the kids are playing safely nearby. The garden is definitely worth exploring and is a proper sun trap in summer. It's a place to play, relax, explore and create. Go Green and take your Keep Cup and you can collect coffee reward points too. North Edinburgh Arts is well worth a visit.
Great arts venue, lovely cafe and a great garden which is currently being redeveloped.
Amazing place full of creative activities for kids.
Great place. Good staff and cheap & educational entertainment for the kids.
Fantastic facility with excellent staff and lots of creative activities.
The area feels very run down and not particularly safe. Its difficult to find your way around to car park as there are a lot of roadworks. The theatre space itself is a wee diamond in the rough and very well looked after.
Had a brilliant week here with Live Drama's First Bite Youth Theatre. Thanks for making us so welcome!
Attended a yoga class on Saturday morning, great studio space inside but the outside looks very rundown at the moment with lots of building work going on around that area
Wonderful arts centre that really seems to be valued by the locals

This community is so friendly and welcoming. The food in the cafe is delicious and big portions for such little price. Love the haggis. The various hobby groups are fantastic as well. NEAC is doing amazing things for the community.
Lots of fun activities and events from young children to mature adults.
I exhibited my photography here a few years ago. Great place for the community
Good venue and lovely staff but could do with reliable WiFi
North Edinburgh Arts (NEA) is a cultural center located in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. The purpose-built venue offers local residents a place to relax, explore, learn, meet, volunteer and have fun. NEA is an award-winning venue that incorporates two studios, a 96-seat theatre, recording studio, gallery space for exhibitions and events as well as offices and a café with children’s play area leading onto a large garden.
The center was established in 2002 with the aim of providing access to arts and culture for all members of the community. Since then it has become an integral part of the local community offering diverse programs that cater to people from all walks of life.
NEA's mission is to provide opportunities for people to engage with art and culture regardless of their background or experience. They believe that everyone should have access to high-quality cultural experiences that enrich their lives.
One of the unique features of NEA is its commitment to working with local artists and communities. They offer residencies for artists who want to develop their practice while engaging with local communities through workshops or performances.
The center also runs various programs throughout the year including exhibitions by emerging artists from Scotland and beyond; theater productions featuring both professional actors as well as community groups; music concerts ranging from classical recitals through jazz sessions up until contemporary pop gigs; film screenings showcasing independent cinema from around the world; workshops on everything from painting techniques through digital media skills up until creative writing classes.
NEA's café serves delicious food made using locally sourced ingredients where possible. It's not just about good food though - it's also about creating a welcoming atmosphere where people can come together over coffee or lunch while enjoying some art on display in the gallery space next door.
In addition to its regular programming NEA also hosts special events throughout the year such as festivals celebrating different cultures or holidays like Christmas or Halloween which are always popular among families living nearby!
Overall North Edinburgh Arts is an amazing cultural hub that provides something for everyone - whether you're interested in visual arts, theater productions or music concerts there will be something here that appeals! With its commitment towards inclusivity & diversity coupled with excellent facilities & programming this venue truly stands out amongst other similar venues across Scotland!
