If you are a Dave Ramsey follower like me, you will understand this. They were recommended to us by an endorsed local provider, ELP, real estate agent. They said the only way we can get a loan is to have a credit score and that it would be extremely difficult to get one otherwise. Not something you want to hear as someone who has paid off thousands of dollars worth of debt.

This experience was far more pleasant than expected because of Luis Navarro & his team. Luis took time to answer every question thoroughly and always answered my call or got back to me in a timely manner. He was realistic (even when i wasn't) and did not make any false promises.

We are first time home owners and Compass Mortgage helped us in so much ways possible. We started house hunting September of 2016 with a different lender but got no luck. They asked us to prepare an amount not less that $15k in our bank account for closing it was impossible for us at that time.. and we started researching online about IHDA program our friend told us about.. and found out about Compass Mortgage, so we started working with them around February of 2017. We ended up with them because they carry IHDA program and they are close to our previous house. Our Mortgage Banker, Mike Ferrel, has a lot of knowledge with regards to buying homes, what to expect and what needs to be done. He made everything possible for us, he is very patient, kind and understanding. He made sure that we stay in our comfort zone re our monthly mortgage and did everything he could for us to be approved in the IHDA program. We didn't have enough savings for house down payment or even pay for the closing costs, but because of the IHDA program that he made possible for us, we were able to close with little to no money out of our pockets. We are very happy and pleased for his support and service to us. He was there all the way! We are very happy we chose Compass Mortgage!!!! 10 thumbs UP!!!

Michael Furness did an out standing job guiding us through the home buying process. He is very knowledgeable and was always available if we had any questions. As first time home buyers we were very nervous about the process but Michael helped ease any concerns. We will no doubt recommend Michael and Compass Mortgage to our friends and family in search of a new home or refinancing options.

Poor. I used the company once before and it was a good experience. But this last time was upsetting and costly. I'm not sure if it was due to how busy the industry was over the past year but there was lack of customer care, slow response time, and processing. We closed 4 days after our projected closing date however I felt I was dragging the team across the finish line.

If not for Jim Galas, I would not have been able to purchase my first home. I was making the purchase from several states away, and I just finished graduate school so I had very little wiggle room financially. There were all kinds of hoops Jim had to jump through to make this work for me, but he did, and he was the best loan officer I could have ever hoped to work with on my unique case. Jim was beyond attentive and patient with me throughout the entire process, from start to closing. He was always available for my questions, no matter how minuscule or grand. I never had to wait for Jim to do anything because he was always already on the case, and he works so hard all of the time to make sure he is doing everything he can to get people into their homes. I will only ever go to Jim for my future home purchases; he really does have all of his clients' best interests at heart, and you can tell it really brings him joy to help people purchase homes.

I've used Compass Mortgage for two or three financing transactions. Specifically, Dan Crum as my loan officer. He is honest, trustworthy, and professional. Dan's (and his team) attention to detail is second to none. They make the experience very easy from start to finish. They communicate promptly when questions arise and their answers are always accurate.

Horrible experience. Will never use again. They were terrible communicators (when they bothered to reply to you), dishonest, and were not in a hurry to do anything- especially close. However, if they checked emails, kept their word, communicated, & acted in a professional manner (as if they were working and had a job to do), this would be a totally different review. Total amateurs, grossly unprofessional, & I wouldn't refer Pam Hynes or Sam Esposito (aka Heckle & Jeckle) to anyone.

Where do I start.... this company had me wait 3 weeks after my house inspection was taken place. An appraisal should ve been done the same week... I ve waited 3 weeks for an appraisal to be scheduled from Compass Mortgage. There was no communication done on their end, I was clueless of what was going on and worried the seller would back out of the sale due to no communication and lack of doing their part as a loan company. PLEASE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. Get a company that cares and willing to go out of their way to get what you need done professionally. Very unprofessional workers that don t know what their doing, and when I spoke to the manager Van he didn t have an answer or a solution to this situation. Either the loan officers aren t trained right or professionally, but take my advice and don t waste your time. I ve had to request 2 extensions due to being lied to and not updated on my current loan. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY!! UNPROFESSIONAL.
