Community Music Center Review

Pleasant enough for concerts you will not experience elsewhere. This place gets surprisingly full, so get there early for best seating and to avoid looong lines outside of folks doing the two-step while waiting for the bathroom.

I've been to several swing dances here. I love the cute courtyard and the wooden dance floor as well as the overlook area upstairs. My complaints about this space would be the single stall bathroom (I think there is actually two, but one is usually closed/used for staff purposes) which makes it hard on a crowded night when there is a long line of people for one restroom. It also, even with fans going and all the doors open to the patio, gets very warm in here very quickly so dress light and just hang up your coat upon arrival. While there is free parking up and down the streets around the venue, it can be a challenging neighborhood to find parking in so allow a lot of extra time, arrive early or, if possible consider ride-sharing or public transit.

Studied under Miss Nancy Nissle for Violin; while attending William McKinley, Everett Junior High. During Saturday's I also attended all city Honor Orchestra San Francisco State 19th and Holloway. 2n violin section position 17 while in high school and junior high I was the concert master. My mistaken was not continuing violin after high school and into college.

Fun music nights, but they are silly enough to leave chairs in the way.

This place gave me my entire musical education from ages 6-18, and I would not be the same without it! The dedication of so many of the staff and faculty is incredible, and the care with which they impart the gift of music is truly special. I'll never forget the memories made playing and performing here, keep up the beauty CMC!!!

I've been taking lessons here for over a year and would highly recommend it to anyone else. They have a wide variety of options for instruction in different musical instruments with many of the instructors able to communicate in more than one language.

Great place to learn music, and great community events and outreach. They are a real fixture of the community!
