Idk about some these other reviews but I've had them for almost a year and have never had an issue with anything. Everytime I need to see a doctor it's covered. Everytime I need meds covered. I pay on time and again no issues. This is the first insurance company I have ever been with and it works wonderfully. Thank you CGH.

My physician's office has tried to call regarding authorization for a CT scan. They have left two messages with no call back. I tried to call yesterday with no returned call. They have issues that disallow for timely communication with their customers regarding benefit coverage. Consequently, medical issues are not being resolved in a timely manner.

Today, the phone number for prior authorization questions doesn't work!

I got laid off due to COVID. I was supposed to be able to go on a better, cheaper plan while I was laid off. I ended up in the hospital a couple times and had a few tests done, doctor appointments, etc. They stuck me with thousands of dollars of bills that I have to pay within a month otherwise I lose my coverage while I'm laid off of work and I have many health problems. Oh, they will take me to collections too. I'm supposed to come up with thousands of dollars in mid-air. This is why we need universal healthcare. It's in the middle of a d*mn pandemic with the highest unemployment rate since the Great Depression and the last thing we should be getting screwed by is our health insurance right now

Avoid this company at all costs. I pay close to a thousand dollars a month for 3 people. I went to the emergency room and they refuse to cover one cent. I've paid them tens of thousands of dollars over the years and they won't cover one cent. What good is insurance if you can't ever use it?

I am quite impressed with this health insurance plan. You aren t just a policy holder but a member of a not-for-profit Cooperative and they really do put their members first. Their customer service was easy to talk to if you have any questions.

I am so thankful to have found this insurance. I did not qualify for Medicaid, as I earned 'too much' on Unemployment Compensation Insurance...that's right, I earned over $1200 monthly on UI, and was denied by Medicaid. I was frantic to find Medical Insurance until someone told me about CGHC. I applied, was accepted and even receive a reduced premium price due to my low income. I am Thankful to God to have found this Insurance. I have an Autoimmune Disease so I see multiple Dr's and have a lot of Labs & other tests within the year. I would be bankrupt if I did not have insurance. This may not be the best coverage, but by golly, it certainly isn't the worst. Every time I contact the Office, they are professional and compassionate. I applaud you, CGHC, for being there for me!

Overall I have had a great experience with this insurance. A person must thoroughly understand their coverage to avoid surprise bills though. I think that is what contributes to so many negative reviews. The online portal to review processed claims is great and helpful to find in-network doctors. PAIN POINTS: limited customer service hours (8am-5pm M-F). Not ideal for those who work full-time. It can take 20+ minutes to get connected to someone. Sometimes the # does not work and you have to bypass it by speaking to a different department. It's not very well disclosed that some Medical College of WI doctors are in-network. Better notification is also needed about major procedures that are no longer covered like allergy testing.

I am supose to have a procedure done tomorrow and yiur so called DR says i should get therapy i am almist bed ridin and in horrible pain and he can say i dont need this done i would really like to put all my pain into this dr and say how does this feel

My mom ended up in the hospital about a month ago and she could've been released two weeks later but the company has taken their sweet time to let the place that she has to get her medication from know that she is covered and now common ground is trying to haggle the price. They only need to cover the medications through the rest of this year then she will be on Medicare. She is still in the hospital because of them taking their time. The company had taken a week before they even started haggling.

Just absolutely terrible provider. My tripped and broke her shoulder early in the morning. Took her to the ER that they told me to take her to(The previous time she needed to go to the ER for a temperature, they charged me over 12,000$ despite our maximum out of pocket for a FAMILY being 12,000 and already having met that).
So the ER calls and makes an appointment for an orthopedic surgeon that's in network. We show up and they tell us they're not in network.

I call Common Ground and the best they can do is to tell me to call orthopedic surgeons in the area and see if they are in network. Everyone I call has no idea what I'm talking about and tells me I have to call Common Ground to find out if they're in network.

Just an absolutely terrible, joke of a provider.
