Comelit Group (UK) Ltd Review

God awful gate automation systems. App as bad as the materials/electronics used in their technology(?). Most positive reviews here are from people with bog standard systems installed, or new and the novelty is fresh. Come back in 2-3yrs and see how things are then.
We opted for camera & audio style keypad/intercom outside of our home, with a touch pad control interface with screen inside, as well as mobile phone use. We have had a fair few call outs to this poor system, and today again. Looks like a like-for-like replacement is going to cost around £1,000 after just two and a half years of use.
luckily, so i'm informed by the engineer, there are now other options available from better manufacturers.
DO NOT BUY COMELIT! YOU WERE WARNED!

We started using Comelit some 15 years ago and have never looked back!
Great sales support internally and externally, with great tech support if required.

Have worked with Comelit for some time and find them to be very professional. Everyone in the sales office is terrific but would make a special mention for Gemma Hills who has been brilliant for us. Gareth Goodall has also provided great ongoing support, visiting regularly and keeping us up to date on new products

Rang Comlit today, spoke to tony in the service dept who says they are manufacturers not installers so can't help. I should look online and find a company. I said that there are loads so how do I find out if they install Comlit, he said he couldn't help - really! With an attitude like that I wish tony the best of luck in his next job.

Absolutely useless when you need them. They are manufacturers not installers, I get that but then technical issues and replacement parts can and should be serviced by them. They could not even tell me where I can pick up a replacement part from.

Absolutely appalling.

User Experience Poor l User guides are a complete waste of time. Poorly designed and inadequate descriptions leaving the user in the very absurd position of paying a very high price for a very poor set of instructions. Comelit this is 2020 not 1950. Get with it!

We have been ordering equipment from Comelit for over 20 years and suddenly the UK branch stopped our account with no explanation. After a year or so we spoke to the Director of Comelit in Italy (HQ) and he said he would like us to resume our activity as we have been great customers for decades and the UK director has now moved on so we should have no problems.

We went on to issue orders to Comelit and were told we would have to pay Pro-Forma, which we agreed. Obviously they thought the pro-forma arrangement would be more of a deterrent as since the time we have agreed to it they have actively avoided our calls and emails.

Comelit UK on the whole are a deeply unprofessional outfit (with their technical support team being an exception).

If you would like good, proactive customer service and sales, I would steer clear of Comelit UK. I've found Amplyvox UK to be much more attentive, upfront, and helpful, and we are now ordering almost exclusively from them. Amplyvox UK is a much more professional organisation who actually value their customers.
