I mostly work one on one with agents out of the Coldwell Banker downtown office and they are all FABULOUS.
T.W. (Tom) Fisher in particular is as friendly and genuine as you can get! And not just friendly, but almost always in the office every day. A true hard worker who really cares about his clients.
When my husband and I decide to sell and buy again we will without a doubt 100% go with Coldwell Banker!

I called on a referral from Sandpoint Century 21 agent...big mistake..my listing agent was sweet at first, but by the end of sale..she didn t show up for closing to explain anything, then found out she made promises to the buyers without even telling me...I m not saying all agents are bad, but I would really do my home work first. I didn t realize that it was against the law to go outside of Sandpoint for an agent...or your house gets black balled from being shown, nor did I know how dishonest agents really can be. I ve had 4 different agents now...and they can be very dishonest...I would try to do sell by owner next time if at all possible....

If you want to support a real estate company that ...

If you want to support a real estate company that disrespects veterans and treats them like garbage, then you should use Coldwell Banker.

We were paid tenants of a homeowner that was using Coldwell Banker to sell her house. Our lease still had 4 months left when she decided to sell. We found out she was going to sell when a CDA Coldwell Banker agent called me AT WORK to INFORM me that she would be doing a walk through of the home. Literally, we had NO idea the home was going to be sold prior to this contact. When she called, she was pushy, demanding and rude. She insisted that a lock box would be put on the door so that anyone that wanted to see the inside of the home could do so in a timely manner.

The following day after her walkthrough she wanted to come back AGAIN to take more pictures. Keep in mind that we made sure the house was clean and tidied prior to her coming by, each and every time, and always felt violated after her and other CB employees had left. After her photos were taken and posted online, a friend called us letting us know that pictures of our valuables, such as our large flat screen tv were included in the photos on the website, making us nervous of a possible break in. There was also no note on the ad or on the realtor sign out front asking potential buyers to not disturb the tenants, so we grew accustomed to people knocking on the door and peeking through the windows several times a day.

After that, her and other employees from the office would call and inform us what time they would be doing walkthroughs with potential buyers, and this was happening every day, and on several instances multiple times a day. In the meantime, my husband and I both work full time jobs and my husband was a full time student as well. We also had two dogs and a cat (all 3 agreed upon on our lease). So every time they wanted to do a walk through, we had to come home from work, taking unpaid time off during working hours, to secure our pets. We didn't want them getting out and lost, and we didn't know any of these people and how they would behave around our pets.

They decided that they would also have several open house events in the home while we still lived in it, and we hadn't even started packing yet, considering the duration left on our lease. The homeowner had made no agreement with us at this point to allow us to terminate our lease early so she could have a clean and empty home to show, and we did not want to accrue penalties for terminating early without an agreement. So while they're hosting open house events in the home, with all of our belongings still in it, we had to PAY to board our pets at a facility on those days to ensure they would be safe and secure (we were new to the area and did not yet have family or friends we could bring our pets to).On no instance was reimbursement for those costs presented to us. We were also told that under no circumstances were we allowed to be present for the open house events.

One day, after a showing had already been done that day, the office called letting me know that they would be doing another walk through with some buyers that day, without giving us 24 hour notice (legally required by the state of Idaho), thus not giving us adequate time to request time off from our employers. When my husband said no, they're welcome to come the following day, the agent called him, yelling at him and threatening him. She went on and on about how we have no rights as a tenant and owner's rights trump any minute rights that a tenant may have. She would only back off when he threatened to call the police.

She would consistently schedule walk throughs, and when we would take unpaid time off to be there, "potential buyers" would conveniently not show up, completely wasting our time and money.

The day before our scheduled move, the agent called us insisting that she host another open house, knowing good and well we planned on moving that day, since we had already told her twice. We were once again met with attitude when we reminded her we would be there, moving our stuff.

We have been working with Matt Emerson at this Coldwell Banker location and highly recommend him for anyone looking to buy property in the Coeur D'Alene area. He has provided outstanding service from the search through the closing. We relied on his great knowledge of the area and experience as an agent. I can't say enough positive things about Matt. Thanks, Matt, for helping us buy our house here!

Received a phone call and as soon as I picked up, the call was disconnected. Called back and was told the sales staff at Coldwell does "cold calls" in the mornings. While this is common sales practice, it's also annoying to the person receiving the call and is bordering on spam when unsolicited.

I have been working on staff with Coldwell Banker for 5 years now and can't say enough about how well this company treats its employees! I have also sold & purchased a home and have nothing but good things to say about that process with CBSR and Todd Kavanagh as our Realtor.

Kathleen Tillman is the buyers agent and has not done her job in a timely manner. We were pushed at the beginning to make seller decisions in less than 24 hours on more than one occasion. Then on our closing date we were informed by our agent and the lending institution that closing would not happen because it took 16 days, from signing of the counter offer agreement, for the lending institution to get paper work from the buyer, when it was Kathleen's responsibility to get the paperwork to the lending institution the following day. We were promised a new closing date, and due to the buyer being on vacation there would be another delay again because she would not track them down to sign papers in a timely manor. Yet we have been expected to make concessions in our schedule to expedite things. She is expecting 100% commission but has not provided 100% on her part. Maybe, she has provided 30% on her part.

You'll notice there is a review from Rob Brickett; don't trust this... He works or worked at CB Schneidmiller Realty and not an actual reviewer.

This is how this company operates. For instance, they act as the buyer's agent looking out for your best interest when in reality they know or own the property they're selling and end up arguing on the behalf of the seller.

You'll find out that they sit on the Board of Directors for the HOA of the property you're trying to purchase. Check out BBB site on them, someone else had a run in with them having special relationships with a home builder. These people are in it for the money and nothing else.

Anthony was very professional through our entire home buying process. He was easy to talk to and get ahold of. When issues arose, Anthony was quick to utilize the resources of his real estate team to help figure out a solution. If it wasn't for Anthony's persistence we would have never gotten this house. We are so grateful for Anthony. We have and will very highly recommend Anthony to friends and family.

Misleading/dishonest, run away. One of their listings 7796 N Goodwater Loop - 4b/2b, 2809 sf, $105/. Actual - 3b/2b, ~1800 sf, $155/ with 1000sf drywalled (unfinished). Left 3 messages for broker to give feedback (spent 3 hours of my own time to get to the truth about the property), no response. Spoke with person answering phone and asked her why they were not calling me back - her response: it s approved by MLS. If they want to call you back they will. I asked what her name was and she hung up on me immediately. On their website: Our mission will never waver -- to deliver the treasure of home ethically and honestly. Misleading/dishonest, run away.

I manage a 55+ community where each resident owns their own Manufactured Home. Darren Miller and Jacob Fortenberry decided to purchase a home in here and flip it. We require all potential tenants to fill out and be pre-approved before any sale can finalize. Mr. Miller and Mr. Fortenberry in their haste to sell the home did not inform the buyer that they needed to do this. I received the application on Friday, by the time I got to the office this morning I had 7 missed calls from Mr. Miller and 3 messages, asking why I was not at work, and that I was holding up a 100k sale. I called Mr. Miller back so that I could explain that I had just received the application on Friday and that it takes two business days. He was rude and pushy and kept telling me that now they had to do another addendum and that I was holding up the sale and it would be my fault if they lost the sale. And this is a local realtor?? I wonder if he treats other people involved in a sale like this or only when he is the owner/seller of the home and he wants his money. I would never use a realtor that has this type of attitude and disrespect, and are only out to fill their pockets

Worst Experience in my 55 years. We were unlucky ...

Worst Experience in my 55 years. We were unlucky enough to have Diane from here as the Selling agent on a recent transaction. It is almost impossible to describe how horrible and stressful our buying experience was. From her not presenting offers to her clients (saying that our offer was unacceptable) to NOT following up with her clients to correct inspection items that the CLIENTS said they would fix prior to closing. There is so much more. Such as NOT providing the BUYERS the keys at closing and making us go to another office to retrieve them later in the day. Since her clients are elderly it was obvious that she was not providing sound advice or looking out for them every step of the way. The agent was in AZ most of the time and her back-up was in Mexico on the day of closing so no one was there to represent the sellers which is not very customer service focused. Also the agents broker never intervened to help resolve the issues nor reach out to say how sorry he was for the agents who work under his name. Please stay away if possible from Coldwell Banker as i do not want anyone else to run into the same or other issues.
