Pretty good beer, excellent pizza, a bit slow at times. Mostly friendly service. They do trivia night on Wednesdays and it was pretty popppin.

Awesome beers and good food. This is one of my favorite places in town. Make sure you try the Chips and Salsa beer.
The beers here are pretty solid. The Coconut Brown is really smooth, the bourbon barrel aged Imperial Stout is fantastic, and the Chips & Salsa Ale is refreshing. The downside is the service. The two servers spent a majority of their time behind the bar, clearly ignoring customers. Our glasses sat empty for over 10 minutes. When we asked if we had a server, we were met with a curt, "we float around." If you go, sit at the bar. It's the only place you get service.
Love this place. Their beers are fantastic and the owners/staff are the best. For the beer enthusiast, they WILL have something on tap to spark your curiosity. Go there now and stop reading my review god damnit.
Live music and chill atmosphere. Definitely a great place to spend a Sunday night. IPA was delicious
Great people, AWESOME pizza, and you have to try the chips and salsa beer or the beet beer.
Great craft beer and pizza what else could you want
Great beers and great pizza... however only three stars because the server can be a real Moody Trudy and we have been there many times.
Great service and having a friendly attitude is one of the most important things in the food and beverage industry. If you are not treated well by your server the good food and beer won't make up for it. We finally stopped frequenting Cogstone because of it. :(
This place is good. Always packed. Great beer and the food is terrific! I recommend the pizza for sure. Service is usually terrific but when they get busy it can be a little slower. But, I will definitely go back and highly recommend.
The beers were really good! I would definitely suggest giving the chips and salsa beer a try!! It sounds weird, but actually really works and tastes exactly like chips and salsa! The staff was really friendly! The owners were cool! We tried the mango ham pizza, it had great flavor, but in my opinion needed something crunchy for a little texture. Overall, we had a really fun night here and I would definitely go back!!
Open and dine in available! The gyro pizza is a must have
Phenomenal beer and a friendly environment. Really good duck fat fried fries. A little understaffed but what start up isn't? I'll be back.
Such a great hole in the wall brewery. Both brewers are friendly and approachable. Good selection of house brews. If you go, try their French fries, they're unlike any other fries you've had and they're absolutely delicious.
I really enjoy coming here. The beer is always good with a nice variety of styles. I enjoy their Belgian styles. They have a guest taps that is always something of high quality & a cider tap. I hope they keep those up as they add to the experience.
The pizza is wood-oven & really tasty. I've had most of the choices over the years. The Pizza of the Week can be especially interesting. (I've enjoyed Greek gyro & Reuben.)
Trivia on Wed fills the place so be prepared. It's a fun night.
Great beer and pizza!!! You can tell care and love have been put into the brewing and menu.
Amazing IPA. Great local brewery who's owner is on site talking with and helping customers. Great customer service and pizza as well. I will definitely be returning.
Nice place! Mark & Robert are good brewers! Love their IPA's!
We've been to Cogstone 3 times now, and had consistent experiences. They have excellent pizza (especially the Karni) and especially delicious craft beer! The service is very friendly and prompt as well. It's even kid-friendly, except during Geeks Who Drink on Wednesday nights. It's also very reasonably priced without coupons (with coupons, it's a heck of a deal)!
Arrived at 9:34 to order 2 pizzas to go while enjoying a beer. I was informed that kitchen closed at 9:30..... so 2 pizzas and at least a beer off sales....okay. Thanks, Cogstone!!!
Great beer, great food! So awesome to see them expanding!
Food was good. Location is small and they only had a handful of beers available. I would ha e rated it higher if there were more beers on tap. A brewery should not run out of beer.
This place is awesome!!!!! The Kolsch beer is my favorite and the others are great too!! The fries are great and the pizza is filling. The owners are friendly and the staff is spot on. I can't wait to go back.
This brewery was just okay. We had a flight of 7 different beers and wasn t super impressed with the choices. Pizza was decent just nothing exciting. Very chill crowd and seemed to have a great crew of locals.
Can't say enough good things about the owners, staff, pizza, duck fat fries, and of course, the brews. All top notch in my book, which is why my wife and I stop by often!
Service is terrible the waitress was more interesting in the guy at at end of the bar then the customers. Beer was ok. The chips & salsa beer tasted just like it, but that was about the only good thing here.
Beers didn't have a lot of flavor.
Server couldn't explain what a dubbel was and seemed irritated at my questions. We ordered a flight of 8 but only got to drink a flight of 7 because they "lost" the eighth beer so that was weird.
We will not go back to this brewery.
Having moved to the Springs from Denver (the Bethlehem of Beer-Snobs), I was worried the microbrew scene would disappoint. Fortunately, it does not! Cogstone is well worth checking out, they have a Belgian Wit that is way more flavorful than it has any right to be and even the stouts and porters I often consider gimmicky (example: "Maple Bacon") were far better than expected. For fellow Denver-ites, think Copper Kettle for a vibe, but with a kitchen! The pizzas were on point, small, but more than enough as snacks for a group or dinner for one.
Great beer, friendly staff, and good music on. Try the pretzels and beer cheese
One waitress working for 7 tables and after 30 minutes of waiting she told us they were somehow completely out of pizza. Apparently they must come frozen. Horrible
First off, I like wussy beers like Bud and Coors and Corona, and absolutely hate IPAs. That being said, I tried every beer @Cogstone and thought they were all great. The house IPA was perfect with the pizza and fries we got. I loved the apricot beer and the WitBier. The food menu is tiny but delicious. I was not expecting mainly pizza but it was awesome. Pricing was not bad at all considering how much food and beer we got.The service was excellent (Thank you, Mary!) and I highly recommend visiting soon.
Yummy. Hazelnut Brown and Lychee Cream Ale. Delicious. Plus those fries...so good.
Excellent rotating craft beers, excellent pizzas, just excellent everything all around! The Chips and Salsa Beer(yes you read that right) is a legitimate World Beer Cup winner and is a must try!
Unassuming location with great food and amazing beer. They nail styles that you don't see often in Colorado Springs. The pizza, burrata, and duck fat fries are incredible.
Small modern brewery with a European environment. The beer is home brewed bu the menu is small. But the owner is nice. So I can't give above a 3 star. There is no 24 hour service or catering. They do not offer curbside assistance.
This is the brewery to visit if you want to learn about the different styles of beer, as well as new experimental beers. Home runs have included their Raspberry Gose, Cucumber Cream Ale, and Blood Orange Kolsch.
It was nice the workers are very nice it is kid friendly....it was my first time there with my dad and they loved me
First we walked in and there isnt any signs about if you should seat yourself or not. When we got our food, my pizza was burnt and my husband's loaded cheese fries were burnt as well. Our kids pizza's were ok.
Great selection of beers. Interesting flavors that are out of the norm, but very drinkable. Tried almost everything and liked it all.
Great beer, mellow atmosphere, nice people with whom one can have an intelligent conversation.
Good beer and good pizza. Not necessarily the best of either but the service was good and it was friendly. I'll probably be back.
Service was okay, friendly but hard to get someone's attention. Beer had decent flavor but seemed tame for Colorado (non-offensive IPA and mild stout).
Visiting from out of town. Great beer, and awesome pizza. Perfect combination! One of the brewers/owners stopped by the table twice to check on us. Definitely worth a stop. I'll be back.
Great beer and awesome atmosphere, definitely will be back!
The atmosphere inside is clean and updated with good music playing in the background. The tables and chairs are comfortable and of good quality. Our pizza was excellent! We like the one size pizza menu and the beer tasted good. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We'll be back.
Update - We were pleasantly surprised to see the expansion of the Cogstone Brewing Company on our last visit on 04/21/18. Looks like they've added 10 - 15 more tables and a small stage for live music! As usual, our food and service was top notch.
Update - 09/21/18 - As usual, the pizza was delicious! However, on this visit, we were informed that if we wanted to drink water we had to serve ourselves. That's cool. Unfortunately, no one could keep the water pitcher full of water.
Very intriguing beer selection. Great menu. What else could you ask for?
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! GREAT beers, GREAT fries and our waitress was a HOOT! Definitely coming back
Cogstone makes some of my favorite beers in town. They have a coconut brown that is amazing. They also make a cucumber cream ale that is a perfect summer beer. The food is also excellent. Try the Burrata cheese appetizer.
I wouldn t call it neapolitan pizza, but it is damn good. The beer is decent. The price can t be beat. I look forward to going back.
Awesome place, good food, good beer nice people! Highly recommend this little joint!
Jessie just spent so much time on the phone to make sure my wife's birthday is amazing. Even with seating shut down y'all give us a great meal and experience. Plus order the kids specials and your adorable dog will get a frisbee! Best place in town hands down. Love this place! Can't wait to walk over and drink when the covid closures end. Thank you cogstone, for the pizza and 32oz crowler, btw, your new burger is awesome!
Won a gift card to this place and now it might be my new favorite brewery! Pizza is phenomenal and the drinks are just as amazing! Excellent service as well!
Take a seat and listen up kids. I m about to tell you a story of the best damn pizza in Colorado Springs. That s right! Not only does this cozy location have a delicious selection of choice brews and friendliest service, they have the BEST PIZZA I have had since moving to Colorado. The dough is house made. The sauce is house made. The veggies are fresh cut. I m talking perfect 2 Amy s quality pizza (Washington, DC - check it out) Even if you re not a beer lover you can grab a Cogstone Rootbeer and order all the pizza pies. Enjoy!
Very friendly staff, owner came a round and meet and talked to everyone!
Nice place some very unique brews and all are very well done
Amazing beer.. Amazing food... Amazing service. I will definitely be going there again.
Loved the beer they served. The snacks were good as well, served quickly. We enjoyed it for what it was. No growlers though on some brews which was too bad.
Chips & Salsa Ale!! I'm a big fan of any type of green chili, mexican style, or salsa beers and you guys nailed it with this one. In that category this beer is in my top three.
Really great beer, live music was awesome and you should really get the mustard with the pretzels.. yum!
These people make such great beer. They are so on point with the flavors..although the last time I had their cucumber cream ale it tastes like pickles...it must have been a bad batch. But everything else tastes wonderful. The only thing I wish they would do is use real plates and silverware instead of disposable ones.
My two recommendations if you're visiting Cogstone are have the pizza and try the chips and salsa beer. I know the latter sounds weird, but it's so surprisingly good. It's difficult to describe how, but it actually tastes like chips and salsa.
Awesome beer and pizza, my favorite spot. Check em out if you want a great beer and/or fries cooked in duck fat.
nice (newer) micro brewery in COS. Good pizzas. Good beer. What's not to love about this pairing?!
Wasn't impressed when I got there. But looks were totally deceiving. My wife reminded me most of our better experience came when we're not quite sure. Pizza was awesome loaded fries off the hook. Benign really good. And the Beer is stellar. To bad I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland I'd be here all the time. Btw staff also totally awesome
Good brews and above average pizza. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will try their burgers next time.
We found this place on accident, and we couldn't be more pleased. The staff was super friendly, the beer was delicious, and the duck fat fries were everything I hoped they'd be. I tried the coconut brown, Irish red, raspberry gose, and apricot wheat. My husband had the oatmeal stout and IPA. They were all good. Very excited to know this place is biking distance from us. We'll definitely be back.
Pizzas are great, but brews are outstanding! Salsa & Chips beer is addictive!
Great service, food, and obviously, great beer. Definitely try the raspberry brown ale while they have it
Great beer. Didn't have time for food so looking forward to try the food next time.
Wood oven pizza and the pretzels were amazing! Decent selection of beer. Will go.again
Went there for the first time this week and had an awesome trivia night... and it was the first place I got to use my Apple Pay at to checkout. Next time, we are going to think of an extremely inappropriate team name, just to see if the announcer will say it... but I m sure they will. Also.. not needing a credit card to hold for a tab is pretty trusting. One person in our group actually forgot to pay, but was kind enough to let us know before we left so we could cover it. Little tip... give the servers something unique to remember your name by. I really enjoyed my time there and will be returning. I would like to see the triple come back into play. Owner also walked around asking if any groups wanted a picture.
Belgian beer week!! Wow, right in my wheelhouse. These Belgians are among the best you'll find in town. All the beers have been spot on since day one. The service is great and the apmosphere very friendly. Of all the breweries in CS, Cogstone has risen to the top. (IMHO) Robert and Mark, great job putting this togather. Keep up the great work!
I'm not a beer snob so to say, but I do like local, craft brewed, beers. Every time I go to Cogstone, I get an amazing beer. They have a seasonal selection and a menu of regularly available flagship beers. Plus, the description on the menu really fits the beer. Oh, and they have some tasty pizzas!
Always awesome pizza and a great beer selection that rotates enough to to have seasonally appropriate options. The duck fat fries are a great option for a quick snack as well
