Coco Palm St Lucia Review

Great location; easy access to the restaurants, banks, main shopping hun and night life

Hotel is nice. Rustic rooms I liked the decor although it may not suit all tastes. I felt staff at breakfast was a bit harsh and short with me. Although I live abroad I am a born St. Lucian and it's obvious through my accent. I saw the young lady respond better to another guest with a British accent while I was standing right there after she ignored me and refused to answer any more questions. I don't know maybe I any imagining things. I recommended this hotel so much to my friends visiting I am disappointed to have been treated so poorly here. Oh well....

I have not stayed at this hotel, hence my 3star rating. However I have been at the bar and pool area and ate at the restaurant. I had a wonderful experience there. Friendly staff, great food choices. The bartenders were jovial and made the ambience warm and welcoming. All I can say is 'go experience for yourself' and come back to respond to this post

I only here for 1 day thus far and i cannot believe ppl had bad experiences here. They care!!! They care how you feel and up to what you eat. For example michell at the omelette station disposed of oil that he was about to fry our eggs in since he said he doesnt like the colour..his word were" the eggs will fry but not be perfect!!!"Who does this!!! Food galore!! you can never go hungry here...there are snacks and drinks as much as you like...rooms and bed are comfortable!! Wotth every penny!!. The hostess ms peppy is totally the best i ve seen...ppl person i say!!!

Had the best time here. The rooms are spacious and bed is comfy. The food is delicious and it's close to the beach and the shopping malls.

Reasonably priced food in a quaint, pretty setting.

Spent 5 days here. It was lovely. I'd recommend the Ti Banane hotel rather than the creole one any day though.
Overall the staff is real nice. Also advised to enquire about the tours at the front desk.

This is the best place to work ....There is prayer at 12.00pm twice a month..... Very good

This hotel is amazing. I love the French feel to the exterior and the rooms were surprisingly luxuriously outfitted and very clean. The staff is awesome and drinks at the bar really put you in that Caribbean vibe. Great boutique hotel!

Amazing resort with attentive, friendly and supportive staff.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic view from our room, which was cleaned daily. The pool is large but not too deep which makes it perfect for young children. The food is fantastic!!

Coco Palm Hotel in Rodney Bay happens to be my favorate hotel St. Lucia. The ideal location in the middle of 'everything' and at the same time a secluded flower tree oasis... emanates the peace of mind I've been looking for to celebrate birthday. French/Creole architecture, an elaborate pool, charming spacious rooms, dedicated staff not to forget Ti Banane Restaurant and their outstanding Creole Cuisine - try their delicious signature banana and coconut cakes - in short; not posh but an authentic locally owned Caribbean Hotel.

As I am a traveller and cruiser. I enjoyed the hotel stay. It was for a day. But the food. It was paneer tikka. Perfect blend of Indian cuisine. And the staff working there were all good. Very helpful. Thank you.

If you are looking for a home away from home, this is the place for you. Well kept and clean, rustic and homely. The buffet breakfss;;bClose to everything including beaches, restaurants, the mall, groceries and even shopping! The staff are all so accommodating and friendly. A must do when visiting St. Lucia

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was delicious and the alcoholic drinks were up to mark.

Upon arriving at Coco Palm I was warmly welcomed by the staff, assisted immediately and assigned a room within 10 minutes.

Service: The staff is very helpful, polite, and will even arrange airport in advanced transfer if requested (recommended).

Room: The room I got was the Patio Garden Room, it was very spacious,clean, quiet and has a fridge and T.V. The washroom is also kept in great condition and cleaned everyday. The king size bed was quite comfortable, more than enough room for two people, it wasn't to soft or firm for me, but it made A LOT! Of noise when moving around or during action (not recommend at night).

Breakfast: All you can eat breakfast buffet was 3/5! Get the omelet its by far the best in the menu, the bacon was pretty dry and overdone. They have a variety of items to choose from. I liked the Kellogg Frosted Flakes the best They're Gr-r-reat!

Location: What more could you ask for? Its between dozens of restaurants, a bank if you need cash, 10 minutes walk from Rodney Bay and five minutes walk from the local mall which has a grocery store!

Always a great place to stay on business or relaxation.The breakfast has me hooked. Can't think of staying anywhere else...

The property is very pretty and well kept.

The service is extremely slow and mediocre at best. Everyone is very polite, but the level of service and responsiveness is not where it should be.

My AC hasn't worked yet, despite repeated attempts by maintenance to fix it.

One of our rooms, the housekeeper left the door wide open all day with our stuff inside. Even though the manager was apologetic, it still doesn't excuse the issue. Should never have happened.

The food is good, but gets boring after a couple days because there are no specials. The chef is great and when he gets the chance to shine(on the Friday night buffet) you can see just how good the food CAN be. They need to let him have some creative input on the menu.

This is my 2nd time here and I feel that it has gone down hill from a service aspect since last time.

Since it is the location that our customer uses when in town, we are kinda stuck here, so I guess I will see what happened next time.

Good service from staff and one of few hotels in this area with a passable gym. This hotel is not good option for business travelers. Internet service very poor and sound proofing to rooms not good, so be prepared to be awaken at all hours of night by returning intoxicated holiday-going guests.

OK this is my 100% honest review if this place , 1 stars and that's only because there were a few nice employees at the facility, they call it a "Resort" but the only thing they really have that's resort like is a pool and bar, hints the pool and bar are at the from of the facility , they DO NOT PROMOTE OR TELL U ABOUT THE BACK WHICH THEY REFER TO AS THE "CREOLE" PART WHICH LOOKS LIKE A MOTEL! LITERALLY I TELL U NO LIE, AND IT SUCKS BECAUSE WE PAY ALL THIS MONEY THINKING WE WERE IN THE NICER PART ONLY TO BE STUCK IN THE BACK HALF WHICH HAD NO ELEVATOR HAD TO DRAG THE BAGS UP AND DOWN THIS WALK WAY AND UP TO THE ROOM , THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL USES CARD KEYS MEANWHILE THE BACK HAS a KEY CONNECTED TO A WOODEN BLOCK WITH CARVINGS IN IT MATXHING NAMES OF DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE ISLAND( can't like at first I thought it was pretty cool like vintage ) until I REALIZED THAT THE PEOPLE IN FRONT HAD CARD KEYS! , IN MY ROOM THE MIRROR WAS OLD AND HAD A RUST MARK DIRECTLY ON IT , NOT TO MENTION THE MOSQUITOES! LIKE A LOT OF THEM! , THE FLOORS WERE VERY DUSTY , SOME DAYS THERE WAD NO HOT WATER, HONESTLY IT LOOKED LIKE A HOUSE MORE THAN A HOTEL OR "MOTEL" AS I CALL IT, NOT TO MENTION THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIND WATER TO DRINK IS AT THE BAR , WHICH IS A SHAME AND THEY CALL THEMSELVES A RESORT, BEING IN THE CREOLE SECTION WE ONLY GOT BREAKFAST! CAN U BELIEVE THAT ALL THIS MONEY U PAYING TO ONLY GET BREAKFAST FOR 2 WEEKS, SO EVEN MORE MONEY WAS SPENT ON FOOD, I WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL SIMPLY BECAUSE OF FALSE ADVERTISEMENT , EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED BUT THANK YOU TO THOSE OF THE STAFF THERE WHO UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES TRIED TO MAKE MY STAY COMFORTABLE FOR ME AND TGATS THE ONLYYYYY REASON THIS PLACE IS GETTING 1 STAR

I ve been here on two occasions for my birthday and a total of four times in a period of one year and I just love it. The rooms are great and the staff are amazing. The staff are extremely welcoming and ensure that all your needs are met. The service is incredible here and the drinks are amazing. Great bartenders who make drinks and keep them coming each time better than the last. And let me not forget about the scrumptious food. On island, this is the best place to get food as it is always to die for . This is the perfect place for a get away and it is right in Rodney Bay so you are close to malls and other areas are in walking distance. Whether you are a local or first time visiting St Lucia, this is the place to be!!!!!

But food was of a high standed complements to the chef .front desk were always friendly.peppy the conseage was fantastic any trip to meet your needs was done nothing to much for her lovely lovely lady thank you for a fantastic time

Beautiful and well located place to stay in St Lucia. 3 minutes walk away from the mall and supermarket. A lot of eateries nearby the hotel. Not far from the beach as well.

Nice selection at breakfast. AC unit was nice and cold. A bit older of a resort but good value for the price we paid at least. Right close to all the bay restaurants and clubs.

Coco Palm has a wonderful customer service! I'm enjoying my time here.

The very nice place is quite new, the rooms are clean, good beds, and the atmosphere very pleasant, the air conditioning feels fresh however it was not 100% cold, otherwise very good. The restaurant of the hotel the attention of the staff the truth is regular I have been in other hotels on the island and the treatment is better, the food is not something that will impact you, for the price you can get something better in the restaurants of the area.

We are currently staying at Coco Palm and it's amazing. Friendly staff, beautiful and relaxed setting. Having an elevator really helps after a long day in the sun. So glad we are here!

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. The food is exquisite and the staff can't do enough for you. Very hot and humid there in September, though, and the mosquitoes feasted on me!

Very kind people. Quaint design with nice rooms. Excellent food and restaurants. Need to focus on entrance appearance, first impression is so important., paint and roof shakes/shingles should be stained so neater. O. Work on the short walk to beach, make it neater and more attractive.

Place was always clean & neat. The hospitality is amazing....special mention to Sam & Shardy at the restaurant & bar!!!!

Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Well kept rooms. Right in the heart of Rodney Bay. Only draw back for a business traveler who is there for awhile is that there is no laundromat on the premises. But besides that, it was a great experience.

Great vacation couldn't be better except for d storm

I would give it zero stars if I could. It was a terrible experience for me. I spent two weeks here with my family and over th course of two weeks not once was I pleased. There are a handful of employees that are nice maybe even less than a handful. Aside from that employees will stare in your face and not greet you some of them had nasty attitudes. When they would serve you and if you didn t give them a tip they seemed very upset. We had a problem and instead of being taken seriously some employees were off to the side laughing. Now the rooms. What were we advertised were the suites with the pool view, but what we got was the creole section of the resort . We checked in at the front desk in the main building with air conditioning before carrying our suitcases across the whole resort all the way to back and climbed up two flights of stairs to our room. We had a view of the dominos across the street. The floors were extremely dusty even though they claim to have a cleaning service come in everyday. And when the cleaning service comes in they ll come in any time of the day. It can be after 3pm or even later and your room still looks the way it was when you woke up at 7am. Some days they never came to clean. We did not have hot water in the room some days and the mirror was disgusting. It looked like it had either mold or rust spots on it. One of the locks on the room door was broken as well. We had so many mosquitos in the room it was ridiculous. The decor of the creole area is nothing to be impressed by, it looks like a cheap motel. The WiFi is so bad here you feel like you re in the twilight zone. My family (15+) spent a lot of money on this trip and on the rooms already and to upgrade or run from this crazy place would cost way more so we tried to make the best of it but our best was not good enough. There is nothing to do here aside from the pool (which did not have enough chlorine in it and many people used it seeing as it is one of the only facilities there) or go to their spa and spend a lot of money. We were expecting local delicacies for breakfast but we didn t get that. All in all, do not come here. I m not sure if you would experience the same things we did in the creole area in the suite area but after having an experience like this I wouldn t even take the chance to find out.

Service is good and in close proximity to a variety of food and entertainment spots

It was a nice hotel. The food was great. However, i stayed in Rm 216 and the AC wasn't working and the night very hot. Sleeping in that condition was not comfy at all. My colleagues had no such issue. I suspect that my experince with the room AC was an isolated situation.
