Today the Humane Association waived adoption fees and my friend was able to go home with an adorable cat. It's really too bad the SPCA couldn't coordinate a day like this with the Humane Association. Many pets went home with loving parents today.

I haven't been to the SPCA since Paul Morgan was arrested for embezzling. I thought the facility was very much improved. The staff was very professional and friendly. The accommodations for the animals looked very clean and organized. I was happy to see how improved everything was.

DO NOT GET AN ANIMAL FROM THESE LIERS!!! I just recently adopted a 1-2 year old cat named tonto... everything was fine until a week ago. He CONSTANTLY kept throwing up and throwing up so we took him to another vet place and they did a checkup and found he had KIDNEY DISEASE AND GUM DISEASE! This is a 10-12 YEAR OLD CAT! This cat they told us was healthy, 1-2 years old and has had all his shots was 10-12 years old and DYING!!! THEY ARE LIERS AND THEY HAVE KILLED MY CAT

Clean, staff is friendly, wonderful animals ready for a home.

The operating hours are absolutely horrible and nearly impossible for anyone with a full time job to visit. They are also closed on weekends.

Overall, very impressed with Vicky , Lindsay , and the entire staff for making the adoption process of my new dog Oscar a breeze ! He is in love with his new home and I could not be happier! They are extremely diligent in making sure every animal is well cared for ! They ensure all vet care is done, shots , rabies , immunization, etc... Nothing was missed ! They are all extremely professional in making the adoption process easy ! I would highly recommend them if you are looking to adopt a rescue!!!!

My grandfather went into the hospital for long term care and his dog of 17 years was turned over to these fine folks! She could no longer control her bowels/bladder, was deaf and going blind. They had a vet look her over to make sure that they 100% did not think she was adaptable and then called me to make a decision. Our family and the SPCA decided she had lived a very long, happy life and it was her time to go peacefully. They made sure that our family was there for her rainbow bridge crossing and that we got all the time needed with her! The best was they also did not charge us and they are giving us her ashes free of charge! Of course we in turn made a charitable donation in her honor! We couldnt thank them enough for all they did for our family and for our very senior Kelsey!! What a wonderful organization!!

Clean, well cared for animals. Caring staff of employees and volunteers. Love the fact that they let people visit one on one with the animals to make sure that it's the right fit for everyone involved

I'm a volunteer here. I love the staff, the animals are well taken care of and the volunteer coordinator Donna is GREAT! Shelters are stressful for animals and the staff is always working to keep kennels clean and animals socialized. I'm sorry if the kennel seems messy but, I assure you it was recently cleaned and if it needs to be cleaned again, please let staff know. I'm impressed, every single time I'm there! I'm sorry for the negative comments I have read on here, I recommend you speak with administrative staff instead of being nasty online. Overall, this shelter works hard to provide top notch care for animals that HAVE NO ONE ELSE and staff work around the clock. If they seem stressed please forgive them, they just want to make sure the animals go to GREAT homes, this can be stressful at times, not every adopter has good intentions.

My wife and I have a great time visiting the SPCA. There s one woman that isn t very friendly but otherwise it is a really great experience. The kennels are clean, the dogs are adorable. Even the cats are adorable and I m not a cat fan. Overall great time, I just wish we could adopt.

A sad place indeed. I say this because upon entering the smell was powerful. Not that it is easy to mask it and it could have to do with the time of the day. 90% of the dogs were pitbulls which I found odd. The staff were middy helpful. It wasn't a bad place for sure. Just a little sad.

The people at CNYSPCA are absolutely wonderful. We went to see two dogs chose the dog we wanted and the adoption process was very easy . This is a true SPCA that cares about their dogs and cats and other animals. We are very happy with the dog we chose . Your price was more than reasonable for our girl.
We just want to say thank you and God bless CNYSPCA

I just moved to NY from Oregon and due to a misunderstanding about my lease I had to find a home for my 2 year old red female AKC chow-chow. The people at the ASPCA on Molloy Rd. bent over backwards to help me and I am sure she will find a very good home. I am setting up a perpetual donation to the shelter in the name of my very missed little girl.

We have adopted 3 animals (2 cats and 1 dog) over the years, from the CNY SPCA. Our latest is our 6 year old Shih-Tzu mix male, named Leonard. He's become our little family buddy and my daily support dog for my disabilities. My husband has also spent quite a bit of time volunteering here as a dog walker. We love this place, the people, the animals, the energy, the mission, and everything about it. When it comes to looking for a new pet, this is my #1 recommendation to go to first before any other company. They are the best and do the most to help animals in need. That's why we like to support them whenever possible. We love you, CNY SPCA!! Thanks for helping our family grow!

The animals are worth dealing with the frustration. Administrator and most staff are wonderful, older woman at the front desk who does the paperwork needs an attitude adjustment she is very rude.

The staff are a piece of work. This woman came over and yelled at as (actually raised her voice) because we were petting the cats. We honestly didn't see the signs saying you can't pet them. We told her we didn't know. She gives us a dirty look at points to the sign and walks away. If she had asked us politely like a reasonable person, there would be no problem. As this was only staff member we had contact with during our visit, the encounter left us with a sick taste in our mouth. I will never go there again.

I found the companion for me. They were so helpful and worked with me and my schedule. They really care about the animals here, so much so that one of Snoopy s(my dog) caretakers teared up. But they are so happy when a match is found!

Not very helpful when you have a serious situation such as a cat stuck up a tree for 3 days luckily I found a guy who does cat in tree rescues with no help from S.P.C.A I took matters into my own hands and got the situation resolved and we had a happy ending Kitty was reunited with it's owner

I was there last month looking to adopt a cat. I stood in front of the front desk for a good 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. And then I stood there for another 10 minutes before anyone helped me. There was a younger girl there Lindsey who was freaking out about losing something the entire 20 minutes I stood there. She was storming around the office like a 3yo while the 2 older ladies helped a few people. It all just seemed very disorganized and the unprofessionalism of the younger girl was just ridiculous. We ended up adopting else where that seemed much more organized and they were certainly more professional.

The people working when I had the following experience were awesome. My fiance and I rescued a dog from a busy parking lot. Although they couldn't take the pupper, they scanned for a chip and provided water and a leash.

Currently on my third rescue, and he will probably out live me, and very happy. The only problem that I have is the amount of money that was stolen and no one discovered the theft. I was a regular contributer, but have been hesitant to continue. Too many Pitt bulls also. Need more variety.
