My favorite Golf course in the south bay, excellent staff. Not for the beginner though. Best greens anywhere.
My favorite Golf course in the south bay, excellent staff. Not for the beginner though. Best greens anywhere.
Brilliant course. Well maintained. Has three 9 holes. The one called Canyon is small but narrow fairways. You won't fail to enjoy yourself.
I always play here when I come into town from Texas. Course gets 5 stars for its condition. Unfortunately today I had a 3 some that was ultra slow. Although I paid for 18 only played 9 cause of pace of play. These guys were ridiculously slow, had no concept of holding up othets.
Beautiful track Decent twilight price is breathtaking views if you have never went you at least have to go once
Great course, NOT easy, you must have a stable long drive to not lose your balls. Gorgeous views, nice uphill and downhill fairways. Well maintained, beverage cart stops buy.
Beautiful course, surrounded by dry California Hills.
Things are a little wet, but the course is in great shape.
Had brunch here, nice spacious dining area with nice views. Service and staff were excellent. Food tasted good, peach mimosa was okay.
One of our favorite courses! 3 9-hole courses that provide many challenges and views.
Awesome courses. Great place to host a tournament with their three different 9 hole tracks.
Amazing golf course in absolutely amazing playing conditions. Among the best in this are
Went here for a wedding. Beautiful scenery and reception area.
Good price for a good layout, in great condition. If I was local, I'd be here often.
Awesome course! Book online or via app or golfnow for best rate
One of the Premier public courses in the Bay Area. Meticulously maintained. Green's are rocket fast and true .Clubhouse service is excellent the women are beautiful just a wonderful experience every time I go in there
Good food, drinks, friendly staff, beautiful setting.
A really nice place to checkout and to hold the event!
While visiting from out of state, I had the opportunity to play a round at Cinnabar. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rental clubs. The course and property were beautiful. Fun day. Thanks
Great food very reasonable prices and a nice view. Had the short rib pho-nelomenal pho, being vietnamese we were skeptical but it was really good. Came with all the veggie fixings minus siracha & hoisin sauce, but didn't ask so they might have it. Pastrami sandwich did not disappoint, the pastrami is very thinly sliced which is how I prefer my pastrami. Marble rye was nicely toasted. Great flavors. Will be back again
Haven't played the Lake 9 yet but loved Canyon and Mountain. Tough but fun and beautiful. Worth the price.
I come here for lunch every so often with friends from work. They seem to be able to accommodate us any time.. 3 of us or 15 of us. The food is surprisingly varied and good! From brie burgers to banh mi to pasta to your basic club sandwich. And house made potato chips! Yay! And, really, what could be better than having lunch in the middle of all the green grass?
Great course hands down on of my all time favorites.i drive from so. Cal to play at least once a year if i havent been in the area latley
Beautiful golf course that is a tough test for golfers of all skill levels. The greens always putting very well and I always enjoy coming out here for the scenery. The staff in the pro shop is great. We played most recently on a Sunday and our round was very slow for the first nine, so once we reached our back nine, the man working the pro shop called us in and sent us off on the mountain course since the canyon course was super backed up. We were very thankful he did this for us because it easily saved an hour on our round and allowed us to enjoy our second nine. Overall, this is by far one of the best golf courses in the South Bay.
Course is in great shape! Fast but true greens. Worth every penny.
The course is fine. Would be a nice round if the fee is $50 range and the green is a little slower...
The views are okay, nothing to write home about. Since it's up in the hills, it's windy and cold.
The green sucks. It's a text book example of overdoing it and making it too fast.
Don't play there...
Challenging and picturesque golf course with 27 holes. Easy to get to.
This spot is fantastic! Reasonable rates, considerable portions and the staff members are consistently nice.
Great round of golf. At one of the best designed and maintained golf courses in our area.
Attended Silicon Valley Concierge Association event at Cinnabar Hills. Great venue!
Attended a wedding here. It was a broiling day outside, but the staff was accommodating! Nice location (quiet, clean, away from maddening crowds), good parking and great setting! I have no feel for the costs, but it was a nice venue!
Occupying fabulously scenic and undulating terrain in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, Cinnabar Hills, rated 4-1/2 stars, comprises 27 spectacular golf holes. The Lake and Mountain courses have most in common, both played over open, undulating terrain and providing fabulous views onto the surrounding hills, down to the Calero reservoir and across the Santa Clara valley.
Cheap copy of a country club.
Terrible service.
Too many weddings
Prairie golf course.
Not worth the drive.
Played here 7/31/19 and the greens were sanded (heavily). This made putting a joke. My son and I paid $56.00 a piece. I think that is full price. Anyway, it felt way too expensive for the condition the course was in. My friend set this up so I'm guessing they advised him of the sanding idk. I've played on lightly sanded courses but this was not the case here. If they say it's sanded don't play or get a discount!
Great layouts and always a challenge. Great conditions every time there
Good restaurant, looks to be a nice place to golf, 3x nine hole courses
Great course...really enjoyed it. There is 3 different 9 holes courses so each time you play it is a different combination. Each 9 is a bit different. Course is in great shape. Beautiful views as you go through the rolling hills. Kinda of in the middle of no where so no houses or buildings near by. Carts are nice with GPS inside. Will definitely be back...one of my favorite courses in the bay now.
Just did a hit and run for Breakfast. I was happy with that. Good service good food.
Beautiful course but really tough. Make sure to bring plenty of balls.
Great experience.. took mom for a drive on a Sunday and had lunch in the clubhouse. Great food!! Beautiful views
We just completed our 32nd annual golf tournament at Cinnabar Hills. We go to different courses around Calif. for three days, and hadn't been in the San Jose area for 12 years. Over our 32 years, I've dealt with 60+ golf courses. The course was absolutely beautiful! Despite how difficult some of our players found it, esp. having never played it, which slowed down play, the staff was kind and respectful. I would rank Adam and his staff among the TOP FIVE tournament directors I've ever dealt with, esp. considering his/their professionalism, organizational skills, and assistance with scoring, awards luncheon, etc. Every "i" was dotted and every "t" was crossed... very rare during hectic weekends at popular golf courses.
One of our players, a scratch golfer, commented that Cinnabar Hills was his best course he's ever played... surpassing Pebble Beach in beauty and the many fun and challenging course he's played since he was a kid all over the Country.
My sincere gratitude to Adam, his staff and the greens keeper for making this such a special weekend!
Flew into San Jose from New Jersey for work and of course had to get a round of golf in. Cinnabar was highly recommended so we booked a foursome. We showed up early and had an amazing breakfast then played Lake and Canyon. The condition of the course and pace of play truly made our experience an A+. We had lunch on the patio and the bartenders/servers were too notch! We will be back!
Drive up is terrifying at night with no lights but once you get to the club house, wow it is truly a spectacle during the Christmas season.
Formerly great course, but recently not maintained to the earlier lofty standards
Best golf course south of SF and north of the Monterey peninsula.
Challenging and beautiful course. Reasonably priced.
although there are a few good looking holes and they seemed to try real hard they blew it. the majority of all holes are repetitive and poorly designed. If you like blind tee shots and blind shots to the green then you'll like it, I don't. If you like 90% up hill, down hill or side hill lies, you'll like it, I don't. What this looks like is a designers first shot at golf course design. They took what they had and didn't do enough leveling so it looks like the terrain won the battle. I would call this a miss.
I played here as part of a golf tournament over the summer. I found it to be in wonderful shape with some very interesting and challenging holes. There were stunning views from several points on the course. The staff here did a great job.
Beautiful course but extremely difficult. Bring a lot of golf balls! A lot!
Love the layout of cinnabar Courses in excellent condition ended up shooting and 82 today
Best public course I've ever played ... Award winning greens keeper!
Book online and the price is WELL worth it. Course has many elevation tee boxes to drive from. Greens have always been in great condition and the green is very well kept! I come every year from Washington to play this course and will be back many times.
Just GO!
Menu was updated since my last visit. Their French dip sandwich is one of my favorites, thinnly sliced roast beef...very tasty.
Very nice golf course. We have played here twice.
Cinnabar Hills was the location of my daughter's wedding. They did a fine job on the organizing, food service, and the setting is wonderful. I think that this is a great place for a wedding. We did eat at Cinnabar Hills in their coffee shop a couple of times and we found it to be quite satisfactory also.
It is a place where you can get distracted and enjoy outside the city
Cinnabar is always in great shape, greens are fast and true, and the views are beautiful
The course is in great shape the only thing the greens are punched still very playable.
Public golf course with reasonable prices and great bar and restaurant.
This is an awesome golf course. Greens roll fast, course is well maintained. Tons of variety. Very nice club house and practice area. Staff was friendly and helpful. The view is simply incredible. There are 27 holes so you basically pick two of the tracks for a round. I ve played all 27 and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Course is located about 30 minutes from the airport. Uber will travel here.
Awesome layout w beautiful views. Difficult especially when greens are firm and fast!! A ball strikers course.
