CNMRI Neurology, Physical Medicine, Sleep Disorders Review

I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Jacob this morning for my son. I had called on Wednesday to find out whether they expected the office to be open on Friday given the impending winter storm. I was told that they would likely be open since they did not see snow in the forecast for Friday and informed that phone calls would be made to patients in the event they were closed. Although they were closed on Thursday, the website stated that the office would be back open on Friday. I called to confirm our appointment before leaving the house, but the office had not yet open for the day thankfully they were open by the time we arrived at 7:50am. As we were getting registered with the receptionist, Dr. Jacob s nurse, Judy, came out and informed the receptionist that Dr. Jacob would not be making it in today due to the snowy conditions. Mind you this was at 7:59am and our appointment was for 8am. You would think that the doctor would have been able to assess the situation and make the determination last night that she would not be able to make it in given that little if any improvements would occur overnight, especially since the forecast called for snow drifts and temperatures in the negative due to the excessive windchill. On top of this, you would think the doctor would have at least had the courtesy to notify the office in a more timely fashion. When my husband, who had taken time off from work for this appointment, attempted to get information from Judy, who became highly defensive rather quickly during the conversation and gave every unjustifiable excuse in the book, we were informed that the doctor has a baby and could not leave the house to assess the situation. We then pointed over to our baby who was sitting patiently in the waiting room for her brother s appointment and made it clear that we had no problem leaving the house. At this point Judy modified her statement to add that Dr. Jacob s baby was an infant. We realized we were getting nowhere quick with this woman and simply asked whether another doctor was available to see our son. About 5 minutes later, we were informed that nobody can accommodate your son s appointment today. Although we decided to reschedule, we opted to go with another physician, who unfortunately cannot see our son for over three weeks from now. As if this all wasn t aggravating enough, I noticed they failed to input my son s name correctly after I received the rescheduled appointment confirmation sheet. Needless to say, I am incredibly disappointed in the high level of unprofessionalism we experienced this morning and Judy s unwarranted abrasive attitude. I am crossing my fingers for our appointment scheduled with Dr. G at the end of this month. On a side note, an elderly woman slipped and fell as she walked into the office because the laminated area of the floor was wet and there was no sign inside indicating the hazardous condition.

I wanted to give a negative star for the service that my husband received at this facility Dr Coll saw my husband had no issues with Dr Cole he was very pleasurable on the other hand his assistant Lisa Scott was very very rude to my husband when he was trying to get his prescription refaxed for his equipment she had the nerve to say she was busy and it would create double work its very sad that some people do not need to be in the medical field you need to have compsssion and patience. I work in the medical field as well and would not dare treat my patient the way my husband was treated and also the receptionist in the middle was very very rude to him as well I think both the assistant and receptionist would benefit from AIDET training

Love how I can't get my doctor to prescribe my medication so I can get it refilled, I have to call the place and they have to call it in, which takes 3 days....

dr. varipapa never takes me seriously. I'm going to try and switch to another dr there, but if I have a similar experience I'm going elsewhere.

This is a warehouse care operation. Secondary quality staff. Look elsewhere.

Was not impressed.
I was referred by my doctor - I was suffering from Fatigue, dizziness, vision flashes - staff I met with said I could only name one symptom and fatigue was not on the list - I think they picked dizzines (which was only a sporadic symptom).
I spent about 5 minutes with doctor Varippa - he did mention drinking more fluids, and to take vitamin B. I mentioned my vitamin D level was extremely low and my Dr had me on vitamin D supplements - he suggested I get more sun - ignoring that as we age our bodies produce way less vitamin D (I am 71). Afterward, I found I was scheduled for 1) a memory test 2) a sleep study 3) an EEG.
I cancelled the memory and sleep study, because I could not think of how a failing memory could tire me out, and while I clearly see sleep impacting fatigue, my sleep patterns have not changed in years. I did get the EEG - which seems a waste, as all I was told is it was "normal".

I feel fine now, I believe drinking more fluids and that the mega-doses of Vitamin D have begun to take effect. I also am taking Vitamin B, and that may also be a factor.

In sum, CNMRI is not a bad place, just focused on sleep studies. If that's what you need, they may be for you.

The good news is the reviews are read.
The bad news is probably more time and effort went into reading and replying to my review than was spent with me.

Phone system sucks... trying to get thru to someone in the sleep lab is horrible. wait on hold for 20mins to be given to an operator who has no business answering phones because she is so indifferent to trying to help you. Just transfers you to another area where no one answers, you get a voice mail. Very unprofessional.

Doctor requested sleep study in August, they couldn't get me in till the end of November. (Several coworkers have had sleep study done within 2 weeks of it being ordered) I only slept 4.5 hrs. In many sleep labs throughout the country that is sufficient for a sleep report. This doctor refused to do one without 6 hrs. Claimed it was due to insurance, my insurance company said it was a lie. Doctor said only way for me to get report was to have another consult and sleep study. Meaning he gets twice the money. Also said they couldnt reschedule me for another 6 weeks. So the whole sleep study procedure would be six months long. They are running scam. No one else I know who had a sleep study had to go through with this. And on top of everything the sleeping area is very cheaply done, super thin walls and lights everywhere. Not the best sleeping environment. Just don't go here.

The MRI department is great!! Always the quickest time in the tube. My first choice when it comes to MRI's.

I love Dr. Varipapa. It's easy to discuss tough stuff with him. He's busy but he always takes time to listen to any concerns I have. When I was experiencing a crisis, he made time to see me despite having a full load of patients. I appreciate the staff at CNMRI and the fact that they have their front desk staff focused only on patients... so that they can provide the best service possible. Sade is my favorite!

Dr. G is great!!! I drive over a hr. as often as I need to so my son sees the best neurologist I've ever found!! I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a neurologist for their child!! My son had many tests in a years time and still no answers, he was referred to Dr. Gundakaram and he diagnosed my son with the first tests he ordered! On top of the medications prescribed for his neurological issues Dr. G. also prescribes add and adhd medications. I love the fact that only one doctor prescribes all the medications my child needs!!

Great friendly service everyone is great and always have ur child in mind Dr. G is awesome friendly and always friendly to my grandson comes in smiling every time!!

I Was A Patient Of Doctor Coll He Is A Remarkable Caring Doctor Who Takes The Time To Talk To His Patient's

Every time I come here I wait 45 mins to over an hour to be seen. I love my dr and his assistant but I am a teacher who makes more than 1 appt when I have to request off. After today, I will be looking for new doctors, I can't keep losing time and rescheduling appointments because of this office. Drs office wants us to be on time and make appts, I can understand the occasional but not all the time.

Sleep study went well. The doctor and staff you deal with after is a waist of your time don't use CNMRI. It will take you two months to get an appointment they will mess it up. I took off work waited over an hour to be seen just to be told they lost my appointment and I would need to reschedule. I'm finding a new office the cares not just takes your money.
