This Clyde s location in Columbia has been one of my favorites for business dinners or just casual dining. There is always plenty of free parking and the view of the lake adds to make it a more special experience. In the summer you may find live music at the stage just outside, overlooking the lake. Come early, enjoy a great meal... and stick around for a unique and enjoyable overall experience.

Every time I come here, it's nothing but wonderful! I had the beef stew and the wife had the cauliflower and I don't know which one was better. Add on the banana bread pudding and the excellent service and it was a fantastic night!

Generally pretty good. However, i just had a fish sandwich ( blackend) that tasted good but the fish portion was ENTIRELY too small! It could not have been more than 2 ounces! I was hungry and it was late so i just let that one go. But all in all I've never had a bad experience there. Friendly staff, fresh food.

Such a great restaurant! The atmosphere and food is just spectacular!
This night the service was a pretty big letdown.
Our server was either having a bad night or is just not a good server.
Not a typical thing here...

We were walking around the lake at lunch time and asked if Clyde's allowed pets on the patio. The answer was Absolutely. We had a 15 minute wait - not bad for noon on Sunday. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and as we waited for our water and iced tea a manager brought a water bowl for our pet.

Food was great as was the view of the lake and there was no rush for us to leave. Highly recommend to bring your pet - great for just people as well.

Great

Went with a group, the atmosphere was upscale without being oppressing. Food was great. Although the short ribs were lukewarm at first they made us new ones in short enough time period for it not to be a problem.

Classic American dining taken to a higher level. Clyde's offers an upscale experience with excellent food and atmosphere. The food is unpretentious, yet it manages to amaze you with it's simplicity and high execution. Additionally the drink menu offers refreshing incarnations of classic cocktails. Definitely visit Clyde's when in columbia.

The food was great, there was no wait, the waiter and people up front were very nice. Prices were reasonable, especially for what you re getting. Nice view of the water, right outside the restaurant. I d definitely come here again.

The atmosphere and service were decent, but our food was only ok. The swordfish had so much pepper on it that my husband could barely taste the actual fish, and the vegetables were swimming in oil. It was not a terrible experience, but we'll be looking elsewhere next time we want a nice meal.

It is actually rather nice (we went with friends for lunch and had a lovely view of the lake) but the management does not respect the customer. In what passes for "higher end" you'd imagine they'd charge what they need to and then make sure the experience was great. Not Clyde's though. No, Clyde's charges to refill your coffee. And almost anywhere you can get a better burger; it was poor. So said, my friends were happy with their food. I won't bother again.

Fantastic! I planned to relax during lunch but I had to rush off after just receiving the amazing beef stew! Service is excellent! Will schedule extra time to thoroughly enjoy this restaurant the next time!

Well.....the food is sometimes above average but last time I went there with my girlfriend there were bugs on the window ceil and they were still alive. Also the calamari is all deep fried normally isn't an issue but I mean everything that comes on that plate is deep fried even the lemon. They use to have the best calamari I've ever had because it had had a vinaigrette on it and it was absolutely mouth watering. But now I feel like it's a fake fancy restaurant.

I love this place. It's great, elegant, comfortable and easy all at the same time. The place is always packed but the wait is worth it. There is a high energy in this place that is wonderful. The food is always outstanding. Youg need a reservation or you will wait but even if you do wait the experience is worth it.

Went for Sunday brunch, staff is nice and professional. Service was snail slow, food was less than mediocre I ordered the chicken and waffle the chicken was a small chicken patty heavily breaded/panko with no seasoning for $15 absolutely dissatisfying, ordered the bacon dippers for $7 all you got were 3 pieces of bacon dipped in pancake mixed with a side of syrup. Sat there for 45 minutes after our meal waiting to pay the bill just not worth it. Clyde s used to be a great restaurant and now it s just blah!

I grew up going to Clyde's so I might be a little jaded because of its past. But, its maintained its high quality of customer service and fare some 20 years after I first went there,. The locals still love it, its a Columbia icon for sure. Nothing lasts this long without having taste, quality and class service. Clyde's, you're still one of my all time favorites, and I still love the outdoor dining and Sunday brunch menus which are varied as the days themselves.

Nice restaurant right by the water. Good food, it has a bar area and of course the dining area. Romantic atmosphere. Theres a multi story parking on that lot as well as many other options for dining or just spending nice night out. I'll be back again to try more dinner options.

It was all around amazing dining. We had a great time and everything we ordered was wonderful. The waiter we had was attentive, gave great suggestions and was very pleasant. The atmosphere was also very nice even for a Sunday night they were not overcrowded and I never felt like there was a wait for anything that I ordered. Great place to eat 5/5 from me.

I worked here 20 years ago, and I still return to it every visit to Columbia, all these many years later, to eat the exact same thing I would get during every shift! It's heartening to see the ways they have updated the menu over time, added new things and kept the food current if the interior (while clean and renovated) retains its classic look. Chicken #1 is my life.

Clyde's has an Autumn salad with greens, slices of pears and apples, and cheese with a vinaigrette dressing. I added steak. My friend added grilled chicken to hers. It was delicious. Service was fine. Restaurant was not crowded so we were seated immediately.

We went to Clyde s for a Mother s Day brunch this year. Unfortunately the weather was lousy, so getting to the entrance of Clyde s was not a good experience for any of us. We had a party of 8 including our 93 year old mom. It was quite a hike for her from the parking area. She uses a walker, so going on the side where there are steps was not an option. I was surprised there was no other access especially one for handicapped people. Though the food was good, and the service was excellent, we won t be going back there in the future.

Always classy. Consistency in the kitchen always. Good value for your money. Our waitress, SAM, was fantastic for THANKSGIVING, even after the long hours she had been on her feet. Always smiling and quick to serve, whatever the request.

Love the proximity to the lake and Clyde's is always pretty solid. A little pricey and always has kind of a crowded feel so we often up for more picnic-style next door. That said if we wanted a sit-down something that was relatively pricey it could be an awesome option.

Good food, tasty cocktails, great service. Enjoyed the cheese plate, carpaccio, and steak salad, all made exactly as I expected. They were absolutely packed at 5pm on a Saturday, but managed to serve our food and drinks quite quickly.

We had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation due to a previous table overstaying after they finished. No points deducted, though, since it clearly wasn't the restaurant's fault.

I'd give 4.5 stars if that were possible, only because I've been to a 5 star Clyde's in Ashburn and this place is just shy of it. You'll be quite happy with a meal here, I'm sure.

Nice bar a lot of beers
