As a regular of Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge location, this restaurant has some room for improvement. The food quality and value are good, the staff is on par with other Clyde's locations (pretty good), but there's room for improvement in the menu (creativity counts), and the bar area is kind of just a sad and uninspired area that feels more like a hallway to a restroom than a Clyde's bar.

Great service with really good food. Dining outdoors during the summer is great. Their chicken and burgers are great. Little pricey for the appetizer's ($11.99?!). But overall great for the price and the experience.

Would recommend.

This is one of the best Clyde's in the area. The restaurant is always clean and staff are nice. Food is great American food but the chef has a lot of leeway in making specialties and the menu is always changing with the season.

Just ate Thanksgiving Dinner at 1:30. The Turkey dinner wasn't tasteful. The sweet potatoes were hard . The ham dinner was too salty. Green beans hard and cold. Chef didn't prepare be nor take their time with the food. I received 3 slices be of turkey. The only thing good was the bread. I just paid for ten in my party. Is Mc Donald's still open.

The garden quinoa rice bowl was bland, tasteless unappetizing. Should have sent it back. Catfish was mediocre. Menu change wasn t a good one- they used to have much better options. Won t be back for a while.

Went with great friends for a semi annual reunion. 30 years of friendship. Great to have no pressure while we chatted. Great attentive and appropriate service. And great food. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I had a delicious Wahoo fish. I heard the crusted trout was great. Every plate was cleaned off. Eloquent upscale atmoshere. Highly recommend Clydes Reston.

A very nice environment, friendly employees I had a reservation late in the night on Valentine's Day 2016 it was so cold outside so I just walked in and asked them if they had any open tables after confirming my reservation they gave me a table for early time and we had this gentleman serving us named MARK SULLIVAN an African American guy really nice and polite friendly patient and humble with outstanding serving skills, I was on a diet for my bodybuilding show cranky and wanted my food for my diet and he helped me get what I wanted and it was not even in their menu thanks to him! Make sure u guys ask for him if u guys ever visit here MARK!!

Clyde's is one of the original restaurants in the Reston Town Center complex. The dining room is decorated with model airplanes, boats, and horse stuff, and there is a large, shady patio adjacent to an open pavilion where kids can play while Mom and Dad have a cup of coffee. The menu changes every month and features lots of good American fare, and the prices are pretty good considering the quality of the food. The crab cakes here are excellent, and the pecan pie is almost as good as my mom's. One month a year, Clyde's has specials on lobster, and it's worth paying a visit.

Service can be hit or miss. During my most recent visit, brunch on Father's Day, the waiter pretty much ignored us and gave what may have been the worst service we've had in 25 years of patronizing the place. This was one of the times when they really should have comped us the coffee, since that was the major point of contention.

I have to mention the story of the diaper changing table in the men's room. I begged for a table in the men's room 20 years ago so my wife wouldn't be stuck with the diapers when we were out for dinner, and they put one in. More recently, they installed new hand dryers and removed the changing table. Hopefully a few new dads will feel as I did and ask Clyde's to again rectify the situation.

Worst service we've ever had in a NoVa restaurant and the first time I've walked out. Went on a Thursday night to celebrate a special occasion, it was not crowded. Got seated immediately. Waited 15 minutes, not ONE server stopped by to greet us, bring us water or menus. Plenty of wait staff walked by our table, which was a booth by the front of the restaurant on the window side. We left. Will not ever go back. I'm sticking to Herndon fine dining where the service is outstanding and the parking is free.

I came here with my wife and daughter to dinner and for $82. It was not worth it at all. Go to Jackson s or Silver Diner around the corner the food will be better and so will the service. The table across from us because they waited 20 minutes with no service, the next family had the same experience but the manager came over and offered to provide extra wine and apps to make up for it.

Getting to food the it was just not good. It was overly salted heavy, on sauce, frozen then microwave pizza seriously lacking freshness. My daughter got kids pizza and normally devours pizza and fries but it was just not good.

My wife got the sword fish and it seemed uncooked and lacking freshness.

I got the pork chop and it just didn t seem like it was cooked right... tough and heavy salt treatment. I also asked for a side salad it tasted as if it had been dressed and in the freezer all day not freshly made.

My experience at Clyde's... IT WAS THE WORST! EVER!

I USED TO LOVE CLYDE'S. The service was horrible..
it is a shame because the food is amazingly good. If I were you I'll go somewhere else to sit down and eat. Just order take out at Clyd'es.

We ate here recently for father's day. The waiter is so mean. He completely ignored us, gave us weird looks and he was not even busy! We sat outside the patio.. and there were just a couple of ppl drinking alcohol and another table got their orders already.. so basically we were the only ones that needed to be attended to. It took him one hour to get our order and serve us. we even asked for the basket of bread...

I don't know if he was racist or he hated kids. (My husband is Italian, my fil is italian, my mil is spanish and I am Asian)
When we got our order.. My mother in law wanted more sauce for her salad and I wanted more sauce for my salmon.. We called him and he completely ignored us. He was just talking to two girls in the other table for 20 min. and when he was done he went inside the restaurant(ignored us again).
We had to ask a bustboy/backwaiter to get our sauces.

Plus my kids were with us and my daughter spilled her drink.. the waiter alreadysaw me stand up. but he ignored us.. I had to call him and wave at him so I can wipe the water off the table.. I think he completely ignored us. My husband and FIL's father's day wasn't the way I expected it to be... wish we had a better server.

the manager was kind enough to attend to our needs and served us himself.. he apologized for his employee's actions.. hopefully the server would learn his lesson and maybe not ignore paying costumers instead of talking to two girls for more than 10 min...
I just felt he didnt like us cus we have 2 kids with us and my mother in law's english is bad so she had to make him repeat his words.

I hated places like this specially when our waiter is a lazy snooty racist.. who would rather talk to girls instead of the big family who could possibly tip him a good chunk of change...

Last night, they were basically hitting on all cylinders. Nice place, walked in, no line. Friendly host is got me seated right away and servers got me plugged in with water and took a beverage order.
Server, Brittany, knew the menu inside-out and hooked me up with a veal chop and this corn and mushroom thing which was just delicious as well as a small salad to get the ball rolling. Guided me through the wine list, and plug me in to some blueberry pie which was the special last night.
Everything was great except I left my credit card there, but they found it and I'll go pick it up in a little bit. The whole experience was fantastic except for the credit card which obviously was my fault.
I was told that this place is something of a Washington-area institution, and if my experience is representative I can see why. I go back again in a second. Actually I might go again tonight.

Tried the Lobster Shepherd's Pie which was amazing with nice chucks of lobster. Service and atmosphere were pleasant. Came for a business meeting over a nice lunch. Scheduled an 1 hour at 1pm and that was the right time frame it took.

Here now....been here an hour, 1 drink no refills. No attention to our party. I assume since we have the minimum party size for a guaranteed tip, there is no need to ensure our happiness as guests.

This Clyde's used to be something. Whatever changed, assume management and then staff, was for the worse. The old Clyde's of reston was fantastic to deal with and be a guest of. Now you don't feel like a guest, but a nuisence to the employees.

Oh well, there are so many places here in Reston to eat at now, good bye Clyde's.

Come here regularly for brunch with girlfriends. The service has always been good. The food has always been good as well. We never feel rushed even though we can spend a long time chatting before even ordering!

Do not try to eat healthy here, go ahead and splurge. I had read a Google review that the Chili was really good, so I got a cup to share with Kathy as a starter. It is interesting, it is a bit sweet, but also tangy and spicy. If you made me guess, I would guess that someone created one of those molasses vinegar Barbeque sauces and added that to the chili, it is pretty good. Kathy had the Thai Seafood Hot Pot and the sauce had a wonderful flavor, not sure what they add to the coconut milk, but it really works. I had the Baked Haddock. It was crusted, I think with Parmesan and coated in what appeared to be butter, but it was cooked to perfection. The bread service was OK, whipped butter, but the bread was not as fresh as I like. I had a Star Hill India Pale Ale and Kathy had a glass of House Wine. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is great there are four basic sections to the restaurant, outdoor, one decorated with horses, another with model ships and pennants, and the last with airplanes, a number of the airplane models appear to be half size. Price before gratuity 49.67.

Love Potion #9 was delicious! The Turkey sandwich was good, also.
We liked the Rowing/Crew Memorabilia in the bar; it was the perfect setting for the Stonebridge HS Crew Team graduates among us.
Great service, too!

I went there last Saturday for dinner. The place was half full. The service was horrible. After we were seated, it took 5 to 10 minutes for the server to show up. We ordered cocktails it took another 15 minutes for him to come back with our drinks. I asked one of the hosts about the delay for cocktail WHILE WE WERE WAITING He said the place is packed and bartender is backed up. Then the rest of the service was the same more or less. The only good thing was the HOST who sat us and THE NY steak. The steak was awesome, tender and cooked to our request. The sword fish was bland and had no taste. You get better service at a fast food joint that you spend under $10.00. For a place that dinner for 2 runs around $200.00, you expect more.

This used to be a good restaurant but I think now it just gets by because of its location. The served my wife coffee with bugs in it twice and did not do anything about it. Also, we never saw a waiter. After 15 minutes we saw a manager and he took or order and other than when we complained to hi about the bugs we never saw anyone but the server that brought our food.

Upscale American restaurant with a charming, supper club kind of feel to it. The food is great and the portion sizes are much more reasonable than you usually find in dining these days. The restaurant is spacious and you don't feel like you're on top of the table next to you. Great for a nice dinner out with a significant other or some good friends!
