Where is the customer service? These people sell a product and have absolutely no support for it.

Before you purchase a product from Pogoplug you should try to contact them first. That will sum up the type of service you'll get. Those who have rated Pogoplug higher obviously have not had a problem with their product yet.
I finally have a cloud storage service that gives me unlimited storage for $5 per month. This is exactly what have been wanting for the longest time.
We offer 24/7 support to our users... REALLY??? All I've gotten are automated messages, all of which I replied to, and zero support from this company in the last 70 hours. I had a guy from the local computer repair shop evaluate the Safeplug they sent me and he says it doesn't seem to be broadcasting the MAC address that's supposed to show up in my router... The product is sold as being a plug-in, register and activate device but after you register the product and try to go to the activation page it doesn't exist. You can't get a refund because they won't answer your emails or call you back if you leave your contact number.... BUYER BEWARE!
My pictures has stop uploading. Try to contact support no response. It was working fine all the sudden it stop uploading pictures to cloud and now is says destination is not available. HELP HELP.
Pogoplug / Cloud Engines used to provide a reasonable product / service with decent service. Unfortunately those days are long gone. This company is dead or dying. They no longer provide ANY service or support, via their own support system, twitter, facebook, or even by phone. The phone number listed is dead. I have lost all of my cloud storage files and have multiple support tickets and have received no response. The last updates to their twitter/facebook was in May, and you can see numerous angry messages to them asking for help and complaints about no support. I am paid up through another year, but am doubtful I will ever get my files back.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE service and WORSE than HORRIBLE support. Did I say support? It's basically NON-EXISTANT Also known as PogoPlug, sometimes associated with Seagate. They offer "sort of" a NAS service for Seagate network drives and docks. Basically enables accessing your own data from anywhere on the internet, but limited use on your on (LAN) netowork. In order to use your OWN hard drive with hardware YOU purchased - you have to use their service, which has pay as you go features. Basically their service inhibits you from using YOUR OWN PAID FOR hardware on YOUR OWN network, UNLESS you use their service, which by the way is NOT secure, although they'll claim the process is secure, etc, etc. But when it comes down to it - your network hard drive will e exposed to the world once you connect to them. Their support is USELESS. based out of Isreal. They tend to be arrogant, not thorough, don't read your issue, causing you to have to repeat work you've already done. They consider 4 - 6 day tech support time line reasonable. THAT's ONE WAY, not completed issue. 5 day tech support is NOT tech support. That just sucks! Seagate would do themselves a favor and distance themselves as FAR as they can from this company.
They deleted several years worth of photographs without warning in late March or February of 2016. Upon questioning why my account was no longer working and there were no photographs in it, the only response I get via email is that they stopped supporting free cloud service back in 2015. They refuse to answer why my pictures have been deleted and take days to respond to my emails!!! Horrible company, don't give them a dime of your hard earned money. These people are thieves and provide horrible customer service. What reputable company doesn't have a working phone number? There are plenty of reputable companies that offer free cloud storage including MSN, Amazon, and Google
Pogoplug (Cloud Engines INC.) Customer service representative Andrey Kotkov is telling me that the the most popular photo format .JPG has a problem being shared on pogoplug cloud devices. This is outrageous since this service states that anything and everything is capable of being shared on it's very own web site. I am informed that they are working on it but cannot not give me a time frame. I think that this problem should have been worked out before this company started offering a service that they cannot deliver on. How is this allowed to happen?
This company is the worst. They don't answer the phone. You can't leave a message and they don't respond to emails. All they do is accept your hard earned cash. If I don't get a response soon I'll be calling the better business bureau and the attorney generals office. I want my problems fixed and I want them fixed yesterday! -Rich
software came free with a toshiba hard drive. worked great at first. then I upgraded to windows 10 and the software suddenly believed, after telling me that I had a license, that I needed one for the machine I was using (the same machine). I emailed support (multiple times), used twitter and messaged via their facebook page - I assume that they've gone into liquidation as their last updates on any site appear to be in 2014. Don't understand how the main pgoplug site could still be operational if that was the case, so can only assume that they are THE most ignorant non-customer focussed business on the net.

I had an account on PogoPlug and they charged me for it after I cancelled the account! Even when the account was working, most of the files on the account got corrupted! Fortunately, I had a second copy on Blu-ray BD-R discs so I didn't actually lose any data. I was able to get a refund by contacting their customer support, but still, a cloud service corrupting your files is unacceptable. I would have lost data if I didn't have a second copy. My suggestion is not to trust cloud storage. Instead, get a few inexpensive 2 or 4 TB hard drives and set up a ZFS RAID-Z array, and back it up to another ZFS array (NOT cloud) off-site. ZFS has built-in checksums to ensure that files don't become corrupt.
absolute worst customer support of any company ive ever had to deal with. well at least pogoplug just doesnt deal with you at all! I've emailed twice now and tried every trick in the book to call them but they do a very good job of staying as disconnected from their customers as possible.....like every great company.... REALLLY GUYS?!?! -super annoyed owner of a pogoplug paper weight.
There is no way to give a negative score unfortunately. It would be smart for employers to look up on linkedin who has worked for pogoplug and these cloud engine people and consider them completely unemployable. Their service delivery had promised a lot but as soon as they felt like it, they cut services, took people's money and then failed to provide any service or support that they indicated would happen. Hopefully they are out of business for good and the people who worked there, especially their leadership, are unemployed and will never work in the tech industry again.
Do you know that moment when you realize that a firm's customer service seems to be ran by a tank of manatees tossing a ball at a panel that sends out meaningless platitudes? Cloud Engines may have worse customer service. For some reason, their billing engine cannot grasp that the accepted payment on a new credit card should be associated with my account, so it is beginning the process to purge me from their systems. The response from their customer service has been tone deaf and, at one point, blamed me for using a new credit card, because their payment engine does not allow users to delete expired credit cards. I'm pretty sure that violates PCI DSS best practices.
I lost 60% of my data, they are not responding to any requests. Anyone filed a complaint with BBB or AG. I am considering legal action, any thoughts on this topic would be helpful. I have no backup of my precious data I lost. thanks
