Centrally located, good size of standard room and super breakfast.
Called them 12 times. No one bothered to pick the phone.
Near and central, stylish hotel with great rooms, nice and clean. Very good breakfast, with wide selection - and very good food. Generally smiling and pleasant staff. A bit of waiting at the lifts, but there were a lot of people in rotation so maybe nothing else to wait. Smoking at / in the main entrance and the fact that the entire reception area stank of tobacco smoke was a huge minus, so unfortunately only 3 stars from us.
Short walk from central station, good breakfast and nice rooms
Great location near to the train station, lovely and modern rooms that are spotless inside. One of the best hotel breakfast available and it's also got a pool and sauna. Recommended
Have stayed at The thief before, but The hub is something completely different! HUNDRED TIMES better, very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Their service is incredibly good!
You can adjust the temperature very easily (which was not so easy on the thief). Come back here!
This hotel is worth 5 . Nice clean rooms, the beds ar sleeping like home. The tv is using casting and streaming from your device. Wish al hotels know how to setup this. The bathroom is clean and modern, rainshower could be higher because above 2 meter you will hit it . Rest of the hotel is modern, breakfast is enormous they have everything you want. Parking is expensive, just like the rest of Norway. Floor 13 you will find a good restaurant for dinner. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Conveniently situated, great breakfast selection, good service, very nice rooms (screens with Chromecast!) that could use more heating.
Newly refurbished hotel with large rooms and in the center of Oslo city center.
Fantastic good hotel! Oslo's best! Room on the 10th floor. Wonderful view
Modern hotel in central Oslo. Nice room and good breakfast.
Hotel Viking not recognizable. Wise use of a lot of money.
Great hotel, good service, 1 star less due to poor breakfast coverage, but it was covid19's fault, not the hotel
The hotel is awesome! The staff is extremely friendly, the equipment ultra-modern and stylish. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. In the bathroom there are Rituals products available, in the basement there are two saunas and a small pool. Those looking for even more pampering can take the bus directly from the hotel to "The Well" (an incredibly good wellness center). In addition, the hotel is super centrally located. The ferry and the harbor can be reached in a few minutes. Highly recommended!
New and modern hotel in a central location. The room was characterized by the entire hotel being recently refurbished. The reception and common areas are beautifully and stylishly decorated. The staff were nothing but nice and helpful during our stay. What draws down, however, is the breakfast, here it was the complete chaos. The selection of food, and the food itself is good. The organization of the disks, on the other hand, seems very poorly thought out as they are placed too close together. As a result, it became too crowded to move around to supply himself. People collided, you had to walk sideways to get past each other, you were "caught" in the queue between the disks as there was no room to go past .. Yes, the whole process became unnecessarily long, chaotic and quite annoying. In such a large hotel, one should expect that many people eat at the same time, and also decorate the hall accordingly.
I have stayed at many hotels in Oslo, but the Royal Christiania near the train station was by far the best. Super good and big buffet.
Terrible service. Checked in and had two suites on order. When we check in the rooms we get a standard room and a suite. We report this to the front desk who believes they have no more suites available and will not arrange what has happened. An answer like "we can't do anything about it" is boring to get when two suites are booked and we had guests with us out of town. One star up they get because the hotel looks nice and has a good standard.
At the beginning of our tour we forgot reading glasses in the room. It could not be found during this trip and after the next stay. But nobody could or would explain. Nice rooms. Impressive breakfast buffet
Best hotel ever. I use to travel a lot for work and I stayed in a lot of hotels. This is one of my favorite hotels. The breakfast is amazing, fresh food and variety, the rooms very comfortable. Totally recommended.
Pros: Central location and the renovated lobby looks quite grand. Decent sized room with a comfortable bed. Nice breakfast spread.
Cons: they have machines for check-in and check-out which is great but if there is a problem you need to see the staff at reception. Even though there are like 10 desks only one of them was manned (even when there was a long queue).
Incredibly great space. Nice staff and very helpful. Can't wait to test the bar tonight
Delicious breakfasts, relaxation zone - swimming pool, gym, sauna. Great location
Unbelievable great hotel. Right at the train station and centrally located. Extremely modern rooms. Good service when checking in / out. Large selection at the breakfast buffet to unbelievably tasty. The rooms were very nicely decorated. Small difficulties with the elevator and the TV in the room but otherwise worth a visit. I would go back immediately.
Great, new hotel in the center of Oslo. Large rooms with good beds.
Booked a double room and you do not get two armchairs in the room. That's not enough. Expect to be able to drink a cup of coffee in each of our chairs without using the bed or office chair. Microscopic table. Small rooms. Otherwise, a feeling that everything was a little too cramped, especially the breakfast room. Here you have too many rooms / people on too small an area. Sorry. There was also a mechanical noise that woke us up at night several times. Encourages the hotel to actually check all rooms for such. Complaint even though we dropped a complaint.
Nice hotel, good rooms, very central. A bit cramped and chaotic in the breakfast room.
Delicious and fancy, from the doorstep ... Impressive upgrade, a restaurant that had a rich selection of food and drink. Nice and service minded service.
Nothing negative to note. Nice room. Good food. Nice and service-oriented operation.
Very modern hotel. The most noteworthy is the rich variety of breakfast which has 6-7 isles of food.
Rooms facing the inner courtyard are very noisy, no soundproofing. Spent the night awake because there was a Christmas disco party in the inner courtyard (dining room, which is also rented out to third parties) and I could sing and dance along to every song.
Clean, in the middle of the city, 100 meters to the train station and thus direct connection to the airport.
1 star because of really bad vegetable food. I ordered vegetable food but taste was really bad, hotel must fix vegetables food in menu. Superb service and everything perfect but not vegetarian food
Just recently remodeled, excellent. The breakfast is extraordinary.Vuew from Norda is well worth having a drink here.
Small double rooms that are so cold that you have to dress up! Something that is boring when you bring a lady ...
Very impressed and surprised to find such a high quality hotel in the centre of the city. Well-used technologies to make things so much more efficient. The whole hotel is renovated to it's best. The room is clean, well-decorated, simplistic style but elegant and everything works so well. Rituals amenities are great. The breakfast is amazingly good and spacious dining area. WiFi free and fast no login required. Can't really find any flaw so perfectly satisfied. Not to mention the location so close to central station so basically can reach anywhere by foot. Will definitely be the top option in Oslo.
Great hotel and the staff always had a smile to give and a hearty hello. The breakfast have improved greatly after the renovation. The rooms are small (even tho we had a superior room) but looks good, and the beds are amazing. I will stay here again without a doubt.
Wonderful stay. Nice rooms, lovely food and drinks and great service!
Newly refurbished and great hotel. Excellent location right by Oslo S. Nice rooms, with good beds. Pleasant and attentive service all over the place.
I head a great stay there! The hotel is located very near to the central station. It s a very short walk and you reach the inner city or eg the opera. The rooms are extremely well furnished and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was very stylish. Everything super clean! Try to get a topfloor room, and you will have such a nice view over the city. And the best: the breakfest buffet. Rich selection of almost everything you could imagine. And not to forget: A very nice and helpful staff. Great to stay there!
The Clarion is a very stylish hotel right next to the main station. It is therefore not only perfect for trips to / from the airport, but also ideal for exploring the city.
The rooms are, typically for Scandinavia, not huge, but clean and stylish.
Breakfast is the best you can find. The selection leaves nothing to be desired: from several types of caviar to cakes, from muesli to egg dishes, everything is available and well presented.
Conclusion: absolutely recommendable.
The hotel has a great location and serves what must be the city's best breakfast. Great room.
A bit odd elevator system and know double bed in the rooms, otherwise good breakfast ,!
Wifi was good enough for Youtube and Skype video. I liked the Chilis/Fridays nearby which did room service with the hotel!
Modern and great hotel! Good help from receptionists at check-in and later questions. Great room, fantastic bed and whatever else you need. The bathroom was awesome, with a lovely shower and great ritual products.
The only thing pulling down was the breakfast. Although we saw notices in the elevator that it was hectic the last half hour of the breakfast service, we could not imagine what met us. It was complete chaos, and guests walked in all directions around the food stations like headless chickens.
Unfortunately we did not find a free table, but we were allowed to take some food and drink up to the room. This was a bit of a shame, but as I said, otherwise a great stay in a very nice hotel.
large rooms, clean .full breakfast. hotel very well located with the station of the central station nearby. I recommend.
Great modern hotel.
Ok lobby bar, very high volume of music
impossible to talk. Nice if the music could be muted. After all, there is no disco.
Breakfast very good!
Super modern, giant pillows and the largest and best breakfast buffet ever !!
Modern, with beautiful lighting and smart elevators. Good food and good corona action during my stay.
Incredibly nice! Breakfast until just 9.30 on weekdays slows down slightly. Nice people. The world's largest pillows in bed
Centrally located extremely comfortable excellent buffet breakfast
Got awesome service, lovely breakfast, got dedicated steam, sauna department. Fight happy with this hotel now.
Very nice design and well decorated hotel. Located right across the main train station in Oslo. Very nice breakfast with variety of options. Love it. Spacious double disabled room. Beautiful bar and restaurant on top of the hotel. But shame on the hotel with some repair on my hallway, right outside the room. Opened the door almost hit the guy on the ladder. Dust everywhere. My partner got allergy badly we have to go private hospital next day. Parking is not available
Very central and convenient location because one step away from the station. Excellent for visiting the city on the fly as we did !!
Very conveniently located, just opposite the train station.
Check-in went fine - there's a large spacious lobby with several desks in front of their bar/lounge area. I had an issue with the lifts: apparently you need to swipe/tap with your card first then key in a room number before one of the three lifts will tell you which to use. Apparently this is to optimise traffic flow, but initially it caused congestion around the lift entrances when people struggled to understand what to do (and confusion when I stepped in a lift, it went past my floor and eventually returned me back to the lobby).
Nonetheless, I managed to get to my room okay, which was supposed to be a double but felt more like a single featuring a double bed - more than suitable for my needs, but couldn't help wondering how a couple would fare with the bed pressed up against the window. I liked the range of power points around the room - including the two USB powers near the bed - but didn't understand why the power outlets nearest the bed were already occupied with room equipment... why not plug those in elsewhere and free up the sockets?
Although there's some roadworks going on nearby (and the hotel is right opposite the main tram stops) no noise filtered up - the room was pretty warm and well sound-proofed. The room heating controls felt a bit dated and it wasn't clear if the reading was the actual temperature or the desired one.
Bathroom was clean, warm and functional with luxurious towels on a heated rail, a welcome from the cold and wet day's travel. I didn't use the TV nor coffee machine in the room (breakfast was included in my stay so ate there).
The meal I ordered - a pasta dish - came with parmesan and olives but felt a bit bland part-way through, just simple pasta with a cheese sauce. The table wasn't furnished with any condiments, so I had to hunt around.
The wifi worked well, got on okay and got some work done before my meal came. Beer was fine if a bit pricey (well, it's a hotel) - I made a point of eating out on further days.
Fantastic hotel amazing that it is possible to get such a hotel in the center
Then it was time to try The Hub.
Fantastic hotel!
Nice welcome, fantastic breakfast and BRAND NEW BEAUTIFUL bed !!
The reason I do not give 5 stars is the disappointment in the restaurant.
We had to send the burger back in, the oysters smelled almost bad, (have eaten a lot of oysters before) but even though those who served us did what they could to fix it, the taste experiences made it pull something down. (This time, but I / we will be back 100%!)
The hotel is still highly recommended!
It is near from the station and does not mind distance to walk. The tram station is in front of you. The room was comfortable. As it was a large hotel, there were many customers in the breakfast room, but the menu was plentiful and enjoyed.
Top hotel right in the center of Oslo. Very nice interior and relatively smooth check in. Top notch breakfast.
Very nice hotel. Situated at perfect spot near train station (no noise disturbance) and city centre. Perfect breakfast buffet.
The rooms are very nice and breakfast is good and tasty, but the reception service is very bad.
Stunning space. First, they use forever to check us in, then we have to go through a construction site in order to arrive at a fetid and miserable little room. The minibar and safe can not be reached and it is almost impossible to move between the dresser and the bed. Why open a hotel when it is not done and people are not trained. Queue at reception to complain. Is Choice Platinum member and will not be upgraded. Have the kids with and had asked for connecting rooms. We are one kilometer apart.
The hotel will be refurbished over the next few years and it is needed.
Excellent hotel, excellent service, excellent breakfast !!
Great food, nice staff. Poor heating. Ask for heater at check-in.
