Nice hotel, but unfortunately queue same wherever you go. We had to queue for check-in and check-out. 5 min queue for hot food at lunch. The hotel is getting too big, so this is not the place to relax, but somewhere you just have to follow the flow and wait patiently.

Great hotel and great staff! The rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff was as helpful as it's possible. The breakfast ist awesome with a huge selection to choose from. We'll definitely come back to this Clarion hotel!
The location is very good too, as you're just steps away from the central station as well as from the opera of Oslo and other shops. Even a shopping center is next to the hotel!

Great hotell in Oslo. Beautiful spacious room ( deluxe) wardrobe a bit small , space for a couple of jackets and shirts . Lost a star here as the Hot food breakfast selection was actually cold 2 mornings in a row. Restaurant on the 13floor was exceptional, on the verge of fine dining. will definitely be back

Climatic, although the rooms small and cramped. On the plus side there is a fireplace, free coffee at any time and afternoon tea or fruit. The price of beer with a meal (90 NOK), but this is probably the whole of Norway ...

Very busy central hotel right beside Central station and within walking distance of many of the places of interest. Spread at breakfast was amazing but everything is self service and only served till 9 30am during the week. It is a cash free hotel which we only found out on check out when I wanted to pay with cash!

Check in was easy and the reception clerk was helpful. It took a while to get up to speed with the smart elevator system but once we did it was flawless and efficient. Our room was spacious enough with a big flat screen TV. The shower was very nice. One problem was the lighting in the room was inadequate. Even with every light on it was hard to see. On the plus side the breakfast buffet was expansive with everything from made to order omlettes, pancakes, eggs, breads, fruit, sweet rolls, juices and more. Another plus is the hotel is an easy stroll to the train station, busses and trams. And many restaurants and shops are an easy walk away.

Fantastic great room and a very nice check in! Stayed for 20 minutes and waited for service at the bar downstairs until I gave up, but it also looked very nice, the location is optimal no matter what you are, located 50m from the main train station, taxi rank right on the outside.

Best location hotel, right in center of everything. Nicely fun decor room, love all the room design, room might be a bit small for big family vacation. The best hearty breakfast buffet, fresh bakery, fruits, wide range of tea option. Staffs at the reception are not quite attentive, quite slow and not really willing to help customers.

The first room had broken the air conditioning and kept 25 degrees. Got the switch to another where the toilet was full of shit and clogged. They were to come and fix it, but nothing happened. Then I had spent an hour getting up and down to complain. Biggest shit hotel I've been to

Very stylish hotel and helpful staff at the conference rooms, as well as good lunch. Excessively long queue at check-in due to understaffed crew. Others in the crew pass by without relieving long queues for the first 5 minutes before anyone comes and helps. The person in front of me in line should check in, and it takes longer than normal. Suddenly she immediately says back and is gone for 3-4 minutes without explaining why. When I finally get help with my check-in I am asked if both are present in my room, and I say that my wife is not coming. Due to the fact that the hotel has dumbed down with overbooking, I am told that I will not get the double room that was paid for and that I get a single room instead. When I ask, I am then notified that my employer will still be billed for a double room, even though I was refused to do so. Helps little with a fancy hotel when the very basic requirements of a hotel are not met, well below par for a brand new 4 star hotel in Norway.

Located in the very center of Oslo within minutes walk from the Central Station and walking streets and shopping area. Breakfast is delicious with many choices of fresh and high-quality foods. Rooms are not very spacious and without bath basin. TV channels are very limited and there's strangely no phone in the room for calling the reception or to other rooms. Corridors are not very well lit and sometimes blocked by cleaning staff.

- Pros: location, breakfast.
- Cons: limited TV channels, no internal telephone, dark corridors.

It was a lovely hotel, and I had a lovely room but the only issue I did not like was the smart lifts they are just not practical and if they were really smart lifts as you put you key to access it would have been nice that it would pick your floor.. Part from that small inconvenience it's a great hotel good location.

I had the pleasure of staying here twice during my trip to Norway and I wish I could stay longer. Located right in the middle of Oslo, just a stone throw away from the train and bus station. And it s also near shopping centers, stores, and high end boutiques.
The hotel is very modern not just in design but also the technology. One example would be the lights on the hallways are controlled by sensor. I personally find the room quite spacious.
The breakfast buffet are amazing.
The Wi-Fi speed are surreal. 122 Mbps download and upload speed.

It's either brand new or recently renovated and it very well done with a modern, Scandinavian cool design. I stayed twice, I've for fun and once for business and wouldn't hesitate to stay next visit as well. The hotel is steps from the main train station and the central area. On the weekend it is quite lively with a party feel at the restaurants, bars. For Sunday brunch you could not find a spot at the restaurant. The wellness are is also very nice. Overall everything was great. The only weird thing is that there second room in started in didn't have a desk.

Checked in by the receptionist Kaja who was very good at her job. Smiled, welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed. She also offered to reserve a table for us in the restaurant, and even though we declined, we appreciated the offer.

The room (or suite) was wonderful. Located on the 6th floor, and there we had a good view. Even though the window in the room was facing Oslo City, we did not experience any noise as it is very well soundproofed. You can open the windows, but then of course there will be noise.
There were both awnings and curtains so you could even sleep without a problem in the middle of the day if desired.

The suite had a separate bedroom with a large double bed and flat screen. The bed was plenty of pillows and a lovely double duvet. There were also extra pillows in the closet in the "hallway" should the need arise. There were electrical outlets on both sides of the bed.
The temperature in the bedroom could be set separately from the living room, so we who like it cold while we sleep could still have a warm and comfortable living room.

The living room had a sofa (think it may have been a sofa bed), table, flat screen, desk with sockets, chair, minibar, safe, glass, cabinets for storage, etc. The entrance area had cabinets to hang jackets, cabinets with iron and ironing board, and cabinets with extra pillows.

The bathroom had a giant shower which was absolutely magical. There was also soap, shampoo, body lotion, hair dryer, etc. The only minus in the bathroom was that the toilet had a slightly strange design, and that it did not always rinse completely.

Attached is a picture of the room's mascot that we decided to call Roar. Roar was amazing!

All in all, a great stay. Thanks for us; we will be happy to return!

Stayed at the hotel for 6 days at Easter, very well priced, fantastic breakfast buffet and very friendly service across the board. The net had 10 Mb both up and down even though the hotel was fully booked. Save money by booking the hotel directly and not via other websites, as they say they have a price guarantee, which is well in the travel budget.

Hotel is fine, breakfast and hotel room service are both good. The last night of our stay in the hotel was a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE in the hub bar. After our Philippine party , me and my friends decided to have some drinks in the bar. Here comes the not so tall man (guard ) checking out ids. My friend who is already 32 yrs old but looks younger than her age, works in sykehjem has bankkort with her (uten bilde) og oppholdstillatelse kort as identification card. She in fact together with her husband order drinks and we're served after waiting at least 20 mins
(only one bartender mixing beverages ).The guard in the bar was roaming arround looking specially to us (we are in party dress), very suspicious then whisphering to the bar tender.

They denied to serve

This stay has really exceeded our expectations. The service at the front desk when we arrived was very nice. The room was lovely. It was clean and cozy, the beds were amazing. The breakfast was so wonderful that it cannot be described, just to be experienced. Have felt warmly welcomed all weekend at the entire hotel. Located right in the best shopping areas. We will definitely return next time we are in Oslo.

A super modern hotel. Great location, because it is located in the city center, right next to the train station as well as the metro station. The hotel underwent a general renovation last year and a new wing was added with a restaurant on the 13th floor. The hotel has its own small swimming pool along with a sauna and gym on the lower floor.

I wish I could give more than two stars, but the shortcomings of this hotel are quite serious and outweigh the pluses.

Nonetheless, I will start with the pluses.
PLUSES
The staff are fantastic. Really top class. They are helpful and warm, have impeccable manners, and are genuinely engaged in what you need. They seem also to feel hamstrung by the problems that I will get to in a moment--problems, I might add that are clearly a result of poor management at the top level.
The breakfast is fantastic as well. The eggs are cooked perfectly, the spread is luxurious and fresh. You feel like Saudi royalty at breakfast.

MINUSES
1. Lifts
The hotel has installed lifts that rely on a touch screen that requires a key scan followed by a selection of a floor. It then tells you which of the five lifts to take. This, however, becomes complicated by the fact that the screens are of poor quality and do not always register your finger. In attempting to return from my floor to the lobby, I spent countless times pushing at the screen before it registered. And I am someone who is a "digital native". Baby boomers will really struggle with this lift system. Once you are in the lift, there are no floor buttons. So if you miss your floor--something easy to do--due to lack of clear signage as to what floor you are on, you will be trapped for a good while.

2. Rooms in shoddy condition
The room I was assigned to (760) was extremely hot, and the climate control did not work. The overhead bathroom lights did not work, and neither did the fridge. In fact, the fridge seemed to be overheating, causing the room to become even hotter.

3. IT system not working
In the morning I asked them to resolve these issues, and the receptionist painstakingly entered them into the computer and told me they would either resolve them or would assign me a new room. Upon returning, no record of them could be found. Yet another example of a poor IT system.

4. PA system randomly turns on at night, waking you up
I was assigned a new room that was much better (750), but at around 11.30 PM, the public address system came on in my room at an extremely loud volume yelling something in Norwegian. It startled the living daylights out of me. On that note, what hotel has speakers attached to a PA in every room??

5. Hotel is a dark maze
The hotel is labyrinthine and dark--the corridors are separated via heavy fire doors, and it is easy to get lost.

6. No phone in room
Given all these issues, I wanted to call reception. This was not possible because the rooms are "21st century" and have no phones. Instead, one is supposed to use a mobile to call a Norwegian number in order to access reception. So while they have invested in a Rube-Goldberg-touchscreen lift system that doesn't work, the rooms do not even have phones. Incredibly frustrating.

The location of this hotel could not be any better. However, the rooms are small. I have stayed here twice and be sure to ask for one of the remodeled rooms when you book. The breakfast buffet can be a bit crowded. Staff is very friendly.

Central at the main station, beds good, rooms could be cleaner (when was the last time dust wiped out ???), quite noisy outside noise, Sunday breakfast only from 7.30 clock (for early departing groups not so convenient). But for the breakfast is very rich, abundant offer.

Great hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast. Some small annoyances, automatic check-in that did not work, a little bad marking in the labyrinths A serious mistake, when ordering a dram and get a dirty glass with lipstick on there is someone who does not have the right Attitude
