I'm very upset with this place. I purchased a gear box for my tractor from Clapp Bros. Short version is it didn't fit. I had painted it and because I had....they wouldn't allow me to return it. To be honest it looked much better after I painted it than when I picked it up. It was just a lame excuse not to provide the customer support they should have. I might come back.....if this is the only place in the world that has a needed part.....then again....most likely not.
They are really proud of what they sell. Asked if they could offer a discount that would match the one I could get at Tractor Supply for the same piece of equipment. Would much rather have kept my money in the country by buying from a local business. "Nope, we can't do that". So I drove a mile and saved 10 percent. Paid the tax and was still $140.00 ahead. Their loss.
Good people to work with. Had all Bad Boy mowers in stock to be able to compare them.
We have purchased a bailer and hay take on consignment, Bad Boy Mower and Stihl Trimmer New, as well as had our Sicklebar Mower repaired by their service department. Although the repair took longer than expected it was DONE RIGHT, our experiences have been VERY positive and we thoroughly enjoy doing business with Clapp Brothers! 5 Star Service, fair pricing, locally owned and operated... perfect company!
very disappointed with this place went to buy a bad boy lawn mower got approved went to sign papers .tryed to negotiate a price owner came off 100 dolllars i laughed at him owner told me we insulted him and refused to sell us a lawn mower wow can u imagin the service u would get if we did buy
do not buy anything from this company. my father was buying a tractor but decided he didn't want it. he never took possession of it and told the company he did not want it. now months later he has no tractor but six missed payments on his credit which is being ruined. My father is a senior and a disabled veteran and trusted this company. When he did not want it and since he never even has had the tractor he does not understand why they're doing this to him and frankly I dont ethier. its disgusting. I should mention they did say he didn't have to buy it if he gave them $2000. Again he never took possession of this tractor!!
Had a great experience with Clapp Tractor. After the worst experience I ve ever had with the previous classic tractor restoration shop (so called) Clapp tractor helped me. I traded the tractor that was in terrible shape, for a new holland tractor. They traded me top dollar, even though the old tractor could only be used as a parts tractor. Larry Davis was great help and continues to be.
This was the first time I've dealt with Clapp Tractor and had my 2638 HST tractor serviced there. The Service Dept. was great and would highly recommend them; they kept me up-to-date on the service and completed it on-time.
While they don t have a traditional showroom, all their inventory is on display outside. Everyone we dealt with was really wonderful and very informative. We bought a fantastic New Holland from them!
