Great service and very good food. Alyssa was friendly and attentive. Blackened fish tacos were tasty and good value, as were most other items. Chowder bowl was loaded with lots of meat, but base could have been more cream and less starchy. Really appreciated the complimentary sundae for Mom's birthday.
The harbor side fish sandwich was really good and it was a huge piece of fish. Actually looks like the photo in the menu.
If you get fish and chips, sometimes the fish isn t fried all the way through unfortunately, but ask them to slice the fish in half and they come out perfect.
This place was top notch, the waitress was very efficient, pleasant to talk and professional. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend it. I would like to see them practicing social distancing and wear mask.
Food was good. Busy on Saturday evening as expected but seating for five didn't take that long. We were lucky to have been seated with a beautiful view of the lake. Holiday atmosphere with all the boat traffic full of happy people enjoying themselves on a beautiful evening. Looking forward to our next visit.
Absolutely love the lobster bites, tried them and ended up ordering 2 more. They are to die for.. Clam chowder soup was delicious and all dishes were tasty as well. Excellent view, nice for pictures. Great service and food. Highly recommended.
My first time ever coming here and I ve lived in winter haven almost all my life. Food was amazing and delicious! My server Sarah did an awesome job at recommending items on the menu, none of it disappointed. She was friendly, polite, and a well rounded great waitress. We had the sea scallops and the stuffed flounder, gator bites as an appetizer. The hibiscus margarita was so good I had to have 3. We will definitely be back!
Harborside is a wonderful restaurant in Winter Haven that has beautiful views of Lake Shipp being right on the water. It is our favorite restaurant. Food and service is always top notch. Seafood and steaks always cut generously and always fresh. It is a popular spot but even if you have to wait a bit you get a great view while doing it. Though we are regulars after each visit we cannot wait for the next time. Our Server tonight was Alisha. Her friendliness and level of service made tonight truly special for us.
Horrible experience !!!! Definitely not family & pet friendly .We made reservations for 1130 for 10 people 2 days earlier to sit downstairs by the bar area facing the lake . Leaving the restaurant we saw an Ad about a lake tour by Pontoon boat which we can tie up with our lunch reservation . So we made reservations for a 1230 lake tour by boat. The boat tour reservation also said they will call the restaurant so they know we are with the lake tour so we don t wait long for our food.We have family visiting & it sounded good to show them around this way. I forgot about my sister in law travelled with her dog so we called the night before to ask if we can have a small dog with us as we have a lunch reservation & whoever we spoke to said it was OK.
We showed up at 1115 & the restaurant said we have no reservation !! My mother in law checked the downstairs area and sure enough there were people down there & no tables reserved for us . She was explaining about the reservations & the front desk person was very rude & trying to dismiss my mother in law saying she has to attend to the other customers !!! Are we not customers too ? Then they said the dog cannot go inside so my sister in law have to eat outside near the bathroom to be with the dog . We could have left but we were trying to make the day better & spend more time with the family as they had driven 2000 miles to be with us .The dog could have stayed home as my sister in law has a cage for him if they have not told us we can have him there .
We didn t hear any apologies from the management & when the boat captain met us , he told us the restaurant was not happy with us & that we were very rude & did not tell them about the dog also.
Are we the RUDE person here ? Are we wrong being upset about this?
We will never recommend this place to anyone .
Food was good. Service was slow. Never got our salads until we asked where they were when our food came. Probably Service would have been better in the restaurant rather then in the bar area lake view
Update 05/16/2021 1pm: Today we went straight to the bar and was AMAZING !!! No waiting time! Awesome service, delicious gator bites, and exquisite drinks! Only 20 min of waiting time for tables!! I love this place!
First visit (mother s day 2021): Good food and Great customer service. The most amazing view! My only complaint is the waiting time. Last Saturday I had to wait for 2 hours to get in. They don't have reservation system for less than 6 persons event.
