Kevin our guide was wonderful! What a place!! We got to get up close and meet the resident stallions, and see their unique personalities. Getting a chance to see Secretariat's gravesite was also very special. Beautiful property!! Highly recommend!

We've done the Claiborne tour twice while visiting KY. Very knowledgeable staff, cool gift shop, and they offer direct contact with their most notable stallions. Bring a camera and peppermints!

Billy was a fantastic tour guide. The farm is beautiful and an easy walk during the tour. I learned alot about what all goes into breeding, housing horses, and running a large farm. Very interesting and of course you don't want to miss get up close and personal with race winning horses!

Was able to see where history happened and hear stories about the greats. Tour guide (Kevin) was awesome and you could see he had a love of horses.

Outstanding people, facilities and racing stallions. Very knowledgable staff answered any and all questions. Champion racing and breeding thoroughbreds were beautiful and majestic. Graveyard with multiple KY Derby and triple crown winners, including the greatest racehorse of all time Secretariat was special. You could feel the history. This should be must for anyone visiting KY. Excellent , informative tour.

Fantastic tour of Claiborne today with Rodeo, our great guide! Learned a lot about some of their famous stallions, past and present. Got to see Breeders cup Classic Champion Blame and also Kentucky Derby winner Orb. Always a fantastic visit to Claiborne and love how you can still call farm directly to get a tour, just make sure you tip the groom. I always take the $20 I would pay the organized tour place and give it to thesehard working grooms - some of the most important people who Gove so much to keep these stallions healthy and happy. I am so glad we made this one of our last stops on our trip. The tour was very informative and really told you the history of the farm. It was really great getting to meet some of their champion horses and to see where Secretariat has been laid to rest. This is a must see if you are in the area.

This farm is absolutely outstanding.. From the front office to the end. The tour guide was the best, he took out the Stallions for us to see, pet, take pictures and give peppermints too. His knowledge base, enthusiasm and love for each horse was infectious. The grave site absolutely Wow!! We even got to take pictures next to the grave stone head pieces. Wow!! Thank you Claiborn! Will be coming again!

Incredible experience sharing time with horses that were past derby winners. Secretariat is one of many involved with this facility. Claiborne has so many racing champions as part of its history. Great time with our guide, rodeo, wgo has been a caretaker for most of his life. Highly recommended.

The farm alone is so historic and then pairing it with a knowledgeable tour guide and great photo opportunities, it was definitely a tour I will remember! Book a tour here! You will not regret it!

Great historic horse farm to tour! Has a smaller and friendlier atmosphere than some others in the area. Staff was super friendly an accommodating, and let the group get right up to the animals. The horses were the best! So much character! What I mean to say is, "such characters". You can stand in the sacred spot where 6 of the 13 Triple Crown winners were sired! And of course, the most famous - Secretariat - resided there and is buried in the cemetery, so you can pay him a visit too.

A farm filled with horse champions. Secretariat's family, the legendary stallions, is buried and remembered here. It is a great place for learning about the equestrian life and the business that comes with it.

Great tour guide and interesting tour about horse breeding.

My wife, her cousin and I had a really great time. Our tour guide was amazing. He was able to tell us about the horses and their backgrounds as well.

The only thing I would recommend is maybe asking the group what their knowledge of horses is.
I think some of the terminologies he used went over my head, but other then that, he was great and we will definitely be coming back and bringing everyone that visits us.

Our tour guide, Joe, was really interesting; he actually works with the stallions and around the farm, which was different than the other tours we went on. Jonabell and Taylor Made both had people from Marketing lead the tours, and while they were friendly and professional, the Claiborne tour felt much more detailed and personal. I do find the Operations of the farms interesting, but the breeding shed process is about the same everywhere and everywhere spends time talking about it, but Claiborne was different- he brought the stallions out for people to see and meet, and he could tell you stories about them and about their personalities. He might not have been the most outgoing person in the world (but he also probably prefers working with the horses than answering the same questions from tourists day after day, and I don t blame him) but he was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable.

Jonabell and Taylor Made are pretty, but just driving around, mostly looking at the barns and the farms gets a little boring. Taylor Made also took us out to see some of the wrangling a and yearlings, but the personal knowledge of them wasn t there. We toured Jonabell, Taylor Made, Spy Coast, Old Friends, and Claiborne this time, and Old Friends and Claiborne were most definitely my favorites (and I even fell in love with a weanling at Taylor Made).

Great farm with beautiful, prize-winning horses. One-hour tour is educational and ends with a visit to the graveyard where Secretariat is buried.

Billy gave a great tour! Very knowledgeable and funny. Meeting Blame and taking a pic with War Front we're so amazing! And hearing about the stallions' personalities was interesting and also pretty funny! And of course seeing Secretariat's burial site along with Swale's (a personal favorite) and many others left me in awe. Such a great time!

Walk the same grounds Secretariat did. An amazing experience getting up close to Derby winners and offspring. If you are a horse lover at any level this is a must see. Fantastic people work on this farm. Claiborne Horse Farm should be added to your vacation destination list.

Caliborne is one of my favorite places to visit. Rodeo has been there for 12 years and he does give a great history of the place and answers all the questions. This time he bought out a couple of the horses they have at studd there. Blame and Orb. I got to feed a peppermint to War Front.

A totally outstanding and informative experience at an iconic Kentucky thoroughbred racing farm. The rich history provided regarding previous and current thoroughbreds and the opportunity to interact with several thoroughbreds provides a forever memorable event, and positively change how one views and enjoys Triple Crown racing. These are extremely special animals who are extremely well cared for. A highly recommended visit.

Took the tour and was very impressed. Tour Guide was very nice and friendly and informative. Got to take pictures and pet Kentucky Derby winning horses. The Graveyard of different famous horses was also very cool! Even if your not a horse racing fan like me I would definitely recommend!

Scenic horse farm that continues to be home for many of the world's greatest thoroughbreds. One hour tour provides lots of information and plenty of chances to photograph championship horses.

We're at Claiborne Farms this summer and even in the rain it was well worth the drive to visit the Legend "Secretariat's" home! Among many other greats produced there. Can't beat the price of tour and the Staff were fantastic! The cemetery is something to see. A unique and fantastic tribute to some of the greats!

GREAT FARM, with the best horses also. Had a really great day and learned a lot. Feeding Blaze peppermints was especially nice and he liked it also. Seeing top stud stallions in their prime and enjoying life made me happy. They live a charmed life here on this piece of heaven, I envy every one who gets to have a job like theirs, working with these amazing creatures !!!!

My sons and I happily toured Clairmont Farm guided by Billy. The horses are amazingly beautiful and the farm is breathtaking.

Secretariat is an all time favorite movie and story. I wanted to visit the farm he was raised on, but didn't know what to expect beyond that. I am so happy i went. The tour was a great value, the guide was personable, interesting, and informative. I hoped i would see thoroughbreds, but was blown away by the opportunity to meet, take a photo with, and pat the star Sire, War Front. I also got to hand feed 2010 Breeders Cup winner, Blame, a treat. At the end of the tour, paid homage to Secretariat's headstone. An incredible experience. Cant wait to get a chance to come back!

If near Lexington Kentucky and would like to see a few horses this is a good place to go. The tour is only about an hour but the guide is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of information. The farm is beautiful and the horses are a joy to see

The guide was very knowledgeable. Most were there to learn history about Secretariat and Ms. Penny, and you do, along with the history and current status of the farm. The interaction with War Front is a plus. Excellent tour.

Just an incredible experience. As a horse racing fan, being able to pet a Derby winner was thrilling. But beyond that, the farm was beautiful, the staff friendly, and seeing the historic buildings was very interesting.

A must see if you re in the Lexington area. Well worth the drive to Paris. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is awesome! We will definitely be back.

A must tour to take. Friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. You re allowed to take pictures and even pet/feed the stallions. The farm is absolutely beautiful and they have a great gift shop.

Phenomenal tour! Our guide Billy was incredibly knowledgeable and proud of the horses at Claiborne, and rightly so, the barns were impeccable and horses very well taken care of. We were the only ones on the tour and so we got a private tour of the grounds - it was incredible! We even got to meet Orb, War Front, and Blame. Highly, highly recommend this tour!

The guide was very informative, we could actually touch the animals, and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.

This is a must visit farm...we had a large group..it would have been nicer if it was smaller but the tour guide (rodeo) was very informative..answered all questions....brought out two horses for us to pet and take pix with....the farm is very well kept..great views...we got to feed peppermints to some of the stallions...the last stop was to see the cemetary where Secretariat and bold ruler are buried..

This was an amazing experience of a lifetime for this horse lover! The history and sights were everything we expected. Our tour guide Rodeo, made history come to life! The farm is in beautiful immaculate condition and the horses are happy and beautiful. Would definitely recommend for any horse lover! Thank you for allowing us to visit!

My tour at Claiborne Farm was an awesome experience! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their champion stallions up close and personal. My tour guide was the best guide I have ever had. He was knowledgeable of all the stallions as well as those of the past. Due to his experience handling the stallions I got to spend time with several of the stallions. Truly an experience of a lifetime!

This is a terrific farm with the opportunity to learn a lot about horse breeding, horse auctions, and the equine industry in general. A lengthy free tour was very interesting and took us to Stables, the breeding area, and other sections giving us plenty of opportunity to interact with the animals and the guide who was extremely knowledgeable. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

We drove down here to take the tour. Our guide, Kevin, was friendly, and knowledgeable, and clearly enjoys what he does. The tour itself is very interactive. We were able to touch, feed, and take photos with a couple different stallions. We looked at the breeding stall, Secretariat's stall, and another stallion barn, as well as visited the different paddock areas. The tour ends with a visit to the small cemetery where Secretariat, Bold Ruler, and other racing greats are buried. Hubby and I were extremely pleased with our trip.

The tours here are no longer free though. Both timeslots are paid and done through the tour company. However it was worth every penny.

We immediately felt at home at Claiborne. The grounds are immaculate and our tour guide's knowledge, charm, and at-ease personality are a winning combination. I fell in-love with War Front and am so thankful for the interactions we got to experience with the horses. The lady at the gift shop was also a gem! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
