I was sitting at a table with some university students in the public area of the campus, by the cafeteria, when a security started going around and asking to check for student ids. I didnt have one and was requested to leave and sit elsewhere.

Have NEVER met a less welcoming university. The cafeteria and security were less than polite and had a snobbish attitude. I sincerely hope the professors show more professionalism.

Unfortunately I have been going here for one and a half years now, because there is no other place at Cityu that is more quiet- so i feel I can give a pretty accurate overview of the situation. There is never enough seats, so if you don't come early you don't get a seat. The security guards are rude, walk around talking loudly and even sometimes snore in their seats. Moreover the library is just for students and staff members, which is not the way a library is supposed to work.

I don t like the university The teaching level is really low for undergraduate. The teachers treat you like you are dumb and like to repeat themselves a thousand times. (Because they like the sound of their own voice?? Or maybe they think that you morons probably aren t able to understand their mastermind) You are not allowed to be critical or ask questions No room for creativity.

The City University strives to engage in professional education and research, and cultivate graduates who have the ability to cope with the ever-changing global society.

CityU has made great strides over the years and has performed well in the university rankings in recent years. It is now ranked among the top ten in Asia and the top 100 in the world. CityU has developed rapidly. Undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty members work hard in their respective majors and engage in teaching and research. The academic fields cover business, creative media, data science, energy and environment, engineering, humanities and social sciences, law, science, and animal medicine. And life sciences.

CityU s curriculum aims at exploration and innovation, provides professional education and engages in problem-oriented research. Benefiting from the expansion of learning space on campus and the renewal of teaching and research facilities, the "Research and Innovation" course will strive to realize CityU's strategic development plan and lead the university into a new era.

CityU has successfully established a culture of innovation. Leading research in many different fields is closely related to the pressing problems of today's society, and it stands out from its peers in Asia. The large amount of funding received by CityU, the number of funded projects, and the quality of research results fully reflect the outstanding research achievements of CityU.

CityU is adjacent to the motherland, giving full play to the advantages of close ties with the motherland, and seizing the opportunity of cooperating with international partners to provide teachers and students from all over the world with an ideal environment for interactive learning and research. The quality of partnerships established between CityU and overseas universities has increased, as can be seen from the quality of the universities that have signed academic cooperation agreements with them.

CityU, just like the city she is in, will continue to innovate and grow, teach and learn, and thrive.

An university in the very expensive area of Kowloon Tong, where you have Festival Walk shopping mall and the convenience of transportation. City University is a fantastic place to study, where you will be taught by world-class academics and enjoy guest lectures by a range of international experts in multi-disciplinary fields. Come and experience, you will find here an inspirational place to exchange ideas and share life stories.

By far the worst University in Hong Kong.

By far the worst University in Hong Kong.
Do not trust the rankings. Increased its position from 250 to around 50 in three years time. Such gain certainly was not acquired with competence and quality, but I assume with money to the right individuals. Professors at City U barely speak English and teaching elements are nothing, but a joke. As an international student, avoid this self-proclaimed University at all costs.

Not a very big campus, but very vibrant and the student there are very active and striving. I was brought around by my friend there and I saw a lot of posters and student societies around celebrating their youth. I do hope some day I could crash their lessons and etc. Hahas.

City University is a convenient place. Although there are a large number of people in the school, it also has a Tiantai Garden in the teaching building 2 and the teaching building 3. It is a quiet space in the busy school.

Beautiful learning environment, good class atmosphere
And the school building is very convenient in Kowloon Tong.
But the fly in the ointment is to collect too much in the Mainland.
