We really enjoyed the ride. We rode the whole loop first to choose which stop we want to get off. It took at least 1 -1/2 hrs. In the price it includes a 45 mins boat tour which you can use any other day. If you have an extra day I recommend to take the boat tour another day so you can concentrate on the other stops(museum etc). There is really no need to buy the ticket online.

It's a must if you want to see the city at once and if you don't have enough time.
The stories the guides tell are interesting and funny so it's a highly recommended item in your trip to Toronto.
Don't forget to visit the Chinese neighbourhood, which is out of the trip

It's the best way to get a glimpse of Toronto's downtown. And if you buy a Niagara Falls- Toronto city tour combo, which saves you a lot more than buying tickets separately, you will not be disappointed.

Really nice tour to get a good idea of what to visit. Friendly staff and lovely photo opps. Only downside was the old bus we got on our way back to the hotel, it was raining and the water was dripping down on everyone inside through the roof and windows.

Highly recommend this tour, if you have the time, take the week long pass, that way your can get on abs off, and enjoy all the fun stops offered on this bus, or even just hang out on the bus for the ride and learn about the city. The boat tour pass is valid till you use it, so you can use it any time. I will be going again

First of all, this is a really nice bus tour with lots of explanations about Toronto. We used the tour for orientation and what we'll want to see, so it pays to do it at the beginning. Especially since your ticket lasts for two days and the hopping on and off comes really in handy getting from one tourist attraction to another.
Best trip strongly depends on weather, which unfortunately we didn't get to do.

We always do these tours on the first day in a new city to get some history and for Darren to get his bearings - doesn't help me much I just follow him to be fair! Bit bumpy but staff friendly and knowledgeable. Sat in ponchos at one point when rain came down and must admit it does worry me when they don't take them back to recycle and say they're yours to keep ....hope my hotel recycling bin can do something you also get a 45 min boat cruise that can be done anytime afterwards as long as you keep your receipts .it was an enjoyable trip with a great guide who kept us entertained

Best option ever. Now I am in love with Toronto, due to the great overview of all the great places that we visited with them. Excellent timing. Well organized and super cool and fun way to know about the history and the local community.

Amazing experience, but the headphones used to listen to the (live) tour aren't amazing quality so it was difficult to hear. I would definitely do it again but would probably bring my own gear. The boat tour was definitely the highlight and worth doing. All the guides were helpful and friendly! Just make sure you bring sunscreen.

Unfortunately it doesn't have explanations in others languages, only in english.
The rout is small. And the staff is not friendly and lovely at all. They don't even pretend to be.
It is a nice tour to in the city but it could be much better.

The city tour was really nice. The weather also played along. A 90 minute harbor cruise was included. Can I recommend to anyone. You really see something and can always and everywhere get out.

This was a great way to see the city while learning the history at the same time. We didn't utilize the hop on and off aspect, but it was a really wonderful idea. Our tourguide was amusing and very friendly. I'm very glad we did this!

I can't still believe that I spent 40 dollars on this tour, I felt so uncomfortable all the time. The guider spoke so fast that I couldn't catch almost anything that he was saying. In the bus there were no English native speakers, I requested the Portuguese audio but I didn't receive. No one was undertanding the guider.

Enjoyed the large loop and friendly staff. The recorded narration was a little off at times - too late or not synced with what we were passing (understandable; lots of construction!). Lots of beautiful architecture, old & new. Increased my understanding of TO history. Increased my respect for Canada's largest city.

- This is a great sightseeing tour, and I wish I had done it years ago
- The two main landmarks of it are the harbor-front boat tour & Casa Loma
- Reasonably priced, yet you better buy your tickets there at the square as it's a little cheaper than using a third party site
- I see a lot of complaints about the headset, but I had no issues on any of the several buses I used
- Some guides would encourage you to fall asleep, but others like Keith were great
- Not sure why some buses had the old maps!
- Prices for admission to attractions should be shared earlier or printed on the map, so tourists can plan accordingly

The student guides were friendly. They didn't seem to have standard historical information that they shared because many of them talked about superfluous stuff. The bus I got on was very old. There was no air conditioning downstairs and the door was roped off because it was unable to close. That didn't matter when I was on top but when it started raining, being inside was unbearable.

I've done City Sightseeing in London and Athens and greatly enjoyed them. This was meh.

City tour commented in several languages. Our guide was very entertaining. You can get off at any stop and then take the bus later. By cons, know that most people do not go down for the first round of the morning at least. So at a stop, only 3-4 people can board. This is definitely not the best option for taking good pictures. This allows you to identify the places you want to visit during your stay. The complete tour takes 2 hours. The ticket is valid for 48 hours and entitles you to a 45-minute boat tour on the Toronto Islands.

I am writing this review because City Sightseeing ...

I am writing this review because City Sightseeing Toronto have given me their copy and paste response to my complaint and ignored me. Please do not waste your time or money on this bus tour. Being in Toronto for a short time I thought this would be the best way to take in lots of sights, it was however a massive waste of time.

First issue was that the bus was in an awful state of disrepair. It was raining on the day I took the tour and water was leaking through to the lower level. This made the journey cold, damp and uncomfortable with some guests getting a through soaking. I was told by City Sightseeing Toronto:

"Due to most of the buses being open-top, sometimes when it it rains, water can leak to the lower level as there is no way to block the exit from the top floor."

I've been on many bus tours in other cities, some when it's raining and this has not been the case, your buses are in a state of disrepair and hazardous is the issue here.

Secondly there was no live guide on my tour bus. I was told that this was just the case for the bus I was on (it was aimed at multi lingual tourists). No one told me this at the time of the journey so I assumed this was the case for all buses. The audio was awful and regularly out of sync with no indication of what I should be looking at and where. I was told:

"We still have staff members assigned to these buses to sell tickets, answer questions, and ensure the safety of all passengers. When an issue concerning the audio system arises (such as being out of sync), we count on guests to notify staff, so that they can resolve the issue as it is happening. The staff member could have also informed you of when the next bus with a live tour guide would be passing by."

Our staff member departed a few stops after Casa Loma which left us with just the bus driver. Not wanting to distract him and constantly ask about the audio being out of sync, he also tried to operate the audio while driving which was unsafe.

Due to these factors I asked for a refund which I was told I wouldn't be getting. I responded back to City Sightseeing Toronto and my email was ignored. I would have liked to have solved this with them but unfortunately feel compelled to write this review as I am now being ignored and no compensation has been offered.

Such a shame as other bus tours I have been on are great fun with lovely enthusiastic guides and safe buses in a good condition. From reading other review's it looks like I'm not alone in my experience. Please find another way to see Toronto and save your time and money.

Unfortunately I hated they sell the tours with several stops, and claim that the bus goes every 20 minutes just not. And when it comes it's crowded. I waited more than an hour for one.
They should guide people to queue because sometimes the bus arrives and has 4 seats and 30 people to enter.

I just got home from taking the Toronto bus tour today, it was awful.
The bus was really old, and not very big. There was no room on the upper level and the downstairs has no air, plus the windows are covered with perforated window advertising which makes it harder to see.
It also wasn t good when they would let people on when there was no seats and they had to stand in front of us. So then you couldn t see anything. Our bus also broke down in the middle of the intersection. They got it started but then it broke down again and we all had to get off. We had to walk to another stop and line up to wait on another bus.

DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS!!! Absolutely dismal experience- not enough buses, crazy lineups (2 hours and a 20 minute walk in the heat until we got a seat on the lower level of a bus), seats inside the bus have no view and no sound, tour guides announcing nothing but the obvious, and even poor driving! Can't believe how much of a waste of money this was.

The buses are really old, the shocking parents are practically hanging around.
Some stops are very long ... And the driver goes super fast on certain routes. In short, not very interesting in my opinion. Count $ 32 per head.

Excellent way to see Toronto, but bring sunscreen when sitting on the top deck, and no air conditioning on the busses, so need to get off every few stops for some shade and to cool down doring the hot summers. Friendly and helpfull staff and easy to navigate the maps and routes. There is a lot of stops, so plan ahead, especially when planning to go up into the CN Tower. To much to see in a single day

I went this summer for the first time, it was great. Just remember if you ate sitting at the upper floor of the bus, make sure to bring a sweater if the weather is a little chilly. The bus stops at the Harbour Front for a boat ride to the island and than you can take the next bus to finish the tour it just have lunch or dinner and than take the the next bus. It s an experience great for everyone of all ages.

Pure waste of money! Very unorganized! I booked my ticket online and the guide took 30 mins to confirm and print a ticket for me! I missed 6-7 points of the tour due to that.
The driver took us on a wrong route! Wow! Impressive! Waste of time and money

Very helpful staff (at almost every stop), very good tour (all major sights in downtown are approached), the boat tour included in the ticket is very worthwhile.
The stops are all clearly marked so that you can find them again.

Good as any of those sightseeing bus tours. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because they were 30min late with their first bus and kept us waiting in line at the yongedundas square on a very windy and cold day without giving any explanation.

Great price for 48 hours worth and a boat tour included. The buses come often (15 mins or less for us in september) and the guide was interesting and charasmatic. Great if you want to know more about local Toronto sights and history. I'd recommend getting on at stop 1 because you'll get an empty bus and you can get first dibs on the top deck before it fills up

I thought this provided a good tour for an introduction to the city, and with so many places to see, was highly valuable that the ticket lasted 48 hours (although as it turned out, I didn't make use of the second day). And having both bus and boat tours included, even more so. However one thing I would suggest, and this seems common to all such operators, is that both the pre-recorded and live guiding needs to point out which side of the bus the particular points of interest are on (perhaps easier for the live guiding, as they can at least point; but otherwise, should be indicating whether something is on the left or the right, or ahead). Strangely enough, visitors to a city don't necessarily know where the points of interest are without being told. After initially being on a bus with the pre-recorded information, I was particularly enjoying the enthusiasm of one of the guides and her commentary later in the day, although her departing "peace" comment just struck me as childish and unprofessional. Call me old if you will.

This is a poorly run operation. The buses are not on time, the lines at the stops are long and the equipment on the bus is poor. The tour guide had a bad microphone so have the tour was her apologizing for the static in the headsets. Also, she was not a very good public speaker. I thought the price was reasonable, but the product was bad.

This is a great tour. There 21 points of interest. You can get on and off the bus to explore points of interest further. Also, you get a boat tour which give a beautiful city line view. My only complaint would be that you do not get nearly close enough to Cast Loma to see it well and the commentary is slightly off when you get to the points of interest. i.e When they give the description you are not in front of it. They do not stop the bus to take a picture. You have to get off, but your have a two day pass which is great. You can come back and see the sights in more detail. Our bus was good. Clean and solid. Our host was friendly and entertaining. Very good. WARNING! DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKETS FROM GROUPON. THEY WILL COST MORE MONEY BECAUSE THEY ARE SOLD IN US DOLLARS NOT CANADIAN. ALL SALES FINAL. NO PHONE NUMBER FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Too expensive for the tour you make. The guide is offered only in English and although they say to send you a compatible one in the desired language, I never got to receive it.
The schedule is very small and strict. Buses are inadequate to make such circuits. They should learn a little about European tour buses.

I liked it a lot. Our guides were very young, knowledgeable and fun. The one girl was even kind a sick, but still hold it together on the rain and kept going. Toronto is beautiful. The tour is great, it does not go through any bad, or ugly areas(as do a Miami tour for example), if there is any in Toronto. The stops are fairly close to many things at once, and the frequency of the buses was fair too. The"free"cruise is not great but you still can see the city's skyline, which is what you should want to see anyway.

The bus is convenient for seeing important areas of the city. You can take it every 15 min (if it stops and there is room).
The guides speak VERY fast and are exclusively English speaking.
Don't expect too much to go on the boat at the end of the tour. There is often a long line and the boats prefer those who pay for the boat rather than those who already have a citysightseeing ticket.
The city can be visited on foot, so try that instead and let this bus go. It is not worth its price.

Unless you intend on never going on a rain day it is fine. Rain day or theat of a rain day don't bother. The tour buses leak inside and they don't have a contingency plan when it does start to downpour. On another note however the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the city.

People were nice but the condition of the buses was deplorable (raining on people inside!) and makes me embarrassed, as a Torotonian - this level of decrepitude should not be permitted to represent a "world class city".
